Thanks for that @FirePrince, just haven't had much time to put into sorting the mod out lately. Glad you managed to get it running. Hopefully ill be able to put some time into it at some point. Had some ideas to possible add some better UI integrations, but will need to read up on that.

I basically cant play the game without this mod, still playing the last version of the mod.

Just make it so you can change to anything you want.. This is pretty much useless as of now. Not to mention the Utopia DLC missing bug

Converting other species to a sub-species of your main species is now impossibly bugged. One of the requirements is that the Utopia DLC is not enabled. I have no idea why.

I've tested it with the current version. The only problem I've run into so far is that sometimes the game just *stops* (as if it's in some kind of inifinite loop) when converting xenos to your own main species.
Everything else seems to work for me.
Also would love for this to be fixed, if savegames (though those would be heavily modded) are needed for that, would be happy to provide.

It's a decent mod, but not quite what I'm looking for. Though it did delete 94 of my alien pops when I modified them lol. Does anyone know of a mod for Hiveminds that assimilates all Xeno pops into the founder species pop so I only have to deal with one pop? You know, aside from purging them.

Does the mod still works for the actual version ? I just tried it today for the first time, tried to create a new template for my empire in the "species tab" but I still have the old window, which prevents any portrait editing, etc.

I also tried "event genemodenh.661" in the console. Too bad it looks really cool :(

Worth noting the ability to change class doesn't work, in that you are left only with an option of your original. If mammalian, you only have mammalian. Portrait change works though!

Hi mate,

Could you please make modding rewrite unique traits? Or rewrite target with template with unique traits? Juest as it wasa in 2.8.1?
Endless multiplication of variations of species with special traits killed joy of playing anything except swarm or civ with techno-ascension.

I don't normally use all of the functions, but in the very least the portrait change, founder species bits, and namelist changes all work fine far as I can tell.

Been a lil busy with other games. But i'll look into adding the new species pack over the week.
Have you tested all functions? And they still work fine? If that is the case it makes updating it a lot easier on my end

Not sure if this is the correct forum but for the custom portraits mod, can we add additional portraits beyond 15? I have one mod that adds a lot of different species portraits (28, not that I'd use them all) that I have manually installed.

Looking at the events file I can see the format that would support more than 15 but just want to check that it's not a hard limit.

If i remember right, tho may have changed in recent patches. There was no easy way to specify which leaders to apply the change to. So it currently changes all leaders that match the same race.
I guess you could manually edit the save game afterwards to correct the changes.

hey, quick question. is there anyway to modify leaders and not have your custom leader change. every time i edit my faction and change leaders (all other leaders are untouched) but my cool ass leader i made in Empire customization gets switched to a different phenotype or models and as such gets all messed up. is that unavoidable? or is it just me?

Yeah, been a while since i tinkered with the mod, so can't remember 100%. But assuming you have the right advanced gene modding tech, you should be able to do that.
If you don't wanna research the tech, then you can activate the cheat mode command and you should get that option

So i cannot fuse all my sla.... i mean less motivatet workers into one? but i could make them all to a supspecies of mine, fuse them to ne subspecies and the turn them into there own thing again?

For everyone who encounters this problem as well: The fix is to create a descriptor file in C:\Users\xyz\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod which points to the mod path. The descriptor file is a simple text file with the .mod ending: ugc_922791015.mod. It needs to contain the following information:

name="Enhanced Gene Modding"
tags={
"Gameplay"
"Species"
"Utilities"
}
picture="thumbnail.png"
supported_version="3.0.3"
path=".../steamapps/workshop/content/281990/922791015"
remote_file_id="922791015"

In path, you need to enter your actual steamapps path. Hope this helps :-)

Hello, does anyone else have the problem that the mod apparently doesn't activate in 3.0.3? I fixed the "missing descriptor file" problem by creating one myself, which allows me to select the mod for a playset. However, in the game itself the mod is not active. When entering the events from the description (e.g. "event genemodenh.369"), the console reports that it couldn't find the event. Any idea on how to fix this?
