This mod does not have that feature.
thanks

The mod only affects your client.
You can position yourself so it looks like you are sitting on their head but if they move you will not move with them.
Everyone has different keybinds so it wouldn't be accurate for me to say a specific key.
That being said, you need to press the appropriate buttons that match your bindings.
"enabletech" : "Usage /enabletech techName. Unlocks the specified tech for use."
"maketechavailable" : "Usage /maketechavailable techName. Makes the specified tech visible and available for purchase."
It won't equip it onto your character but it should enable it.
/enabletech sonicsphere
/maketechavailable sonicsphere
However, FU is known to have a lot of compatibility issues.
You could try installing both and see if it works.
Worst case scenario the game crashes with an error log saying X happened.
Or it just wouldn't work properly, both of which would answer your question.
Please do read it over, and if you have any further questions I will answer them.
It sounds like you might have your subbed mods mixed up.
If there is no conflicting mod installed, it should work.
Also, remember that this mod works on the sonic sphere only.
I am not sure what it could be.
Perhaps you have another tech equipped that conflicts with this one;
or another mod installed that conflicts with this one.
"Also, Special 1 == ActivateHeadTech!
The keybindings for the functions are:
'Special 1' to use the sonic sphere.
'Special 2 + up' to toggle No-Clip Sitting.
'Special 2 + down' to toggle Normal Sitting."
It's meant to do that.
I suggest you read it carefully.
However if you still need clarification, feel free to ask a more specific question.
I will try to respond to any questions as soon as possible.
Me and my friend Grimm (commented below) were trying to look for a mod that allowed us to sit. A friend of ours on Discord recommended this mod.
https://community.playstarbound.com/resources/apples-roleplay-tech.3191/
It ended up making the key to turn into the ball J for whatever reason.
My problem was not related to this mod! It was another's. Sorry for the confusion
There's nothing in the mod that tells the spike sphere to use the modded lua file.
Please note: the function keys for the Special 2 and Special 3 were removed in Starbound 1.0 so I made a patch to readd the bindings. You need to rebind the keys before trying to use the functions. Go to the control menu and at the bottom of the player menu the keybindings will be found there.
Also, Special 1 == ActivateHeadTech!
