I don't play SE anymore, but I hope it's still useable in some way..
srry that's how projector ingame works
Also, make sure to toggle handbrake off by using the first shortcut in the toolbar while in the cockpit seat.
Make sure you release handbrakes (use the first toolbar shortcut while in a cockpit seat).
When you are pasting the blueprint, be aware of green boxes around wheels. None must intersect the ground. If so, it will be considered as a static station and it won't move. So, paste it a few meters above the ground.
No idea about the reverse issue you mentioned. Maybe you had hanbrakes on, they prevent wheels to be powered but not from rolling when the terrain is not flat enough ..
Wheels are crappy in their current state but Keen is working on a major revamp so they may become a lot better very soon.
I may had hidden small thrusters to solve this issue and allow her to climb steep hills.
also is there an optimal carry weight for this? im not sure if its directly related to the other problems im having but at times the whole thing doesnt want to move.
If you build it through a projector, it won't project subgrids (connected ships and anything that is on a piston or rotor). This is the way the game works, i can't do much about it, sorry.
In creative mode, you can paste the blueprint (using F10 menu) and it will have everything.
If you want to build it in survival in a legit way, you have to build subships one by one (so you have to create blueprints for every ship first), and build the garage door and the lift by yourself... but it's not convenient at all..

Hope you enjoy the sillyness ^_^
