I wasn't that difficult since I figured it out and upload a Updated Helltaker Species Mod.
I want to give the Code to the Mod Author so they can update it but I also could just update/upload it myself. What Should I do?
I stopped to play Stellaris for months now so i don't know if i have to check to see if it's working fine.
Maybe things have changed since but i'm not aware if it's the case.
Go to:
C:\Users\(Username)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod
Create an empty folder with The Lycans - A wolf species portrait mod
Go to:
C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\925597904
Copy the content to the newly created folder.
Copy the descriptor mod and put it in C:\Users\(Username)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod
Rename it to:
The Lycans - A wolf species portrait mod.mod
Open it with Notepad or Wordpad
Add the line:
path="C:/Users/(Username)/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod/The Lycans - A wolf species portrait mod"
Don't forget to change (Username) with the one of your PC.
Frankly, i downloaded few others mods that add new races and i didn't found any differences with what i wrote.
It just works on a local disk but not with Steam.
There is probably a problem with the update system..... again. I'll see what i can do.
Updated to 2.8 by the way.
Still, that solved my problem, a thousand thanks to ya. :D
First take note of this:
- I don't own Federation yet (waiting for a sale).
- I have no other mods installed so it's also quite possible there's an incompatibility.
Now the solution:
- Go to Steam\steamapps\workshop\content and try to find my mod.
- gfx\portraits\portraits and open 01_Lycan.txt
You should have right at the begininng this (that's my set up):
character = {
#2d Portrait position
icon = {
orientation = down
position = { x = 85 y = 0 }
scale = 1.0
}
}
Increase the x = 85 value by any number like 100 - 125 - 150 to move the icon to the right until you are satisfied.
The portraits look like this: They are sort of "scaled down" and aligned to the left.
Thanks. :)
I could search but not being a programmer, it's hard to tell if i can do something.
The portraits are very small and sized down somehow, I know you might be busy but can you help me look into it a bit?
Thanks. :)
Maybe it's a problem on your side, are you running an older patch of the game? Some people prefer to run the 2.1 and 2.3 version of the game.
I have to say that i am waiting to see if the upcoming Federation will broke everything again.
I can confirm it works with 2.3.3 AND 2.1.3.
I will test the others builds at the end of the day (in France)
I tried to update the mod when the 2.5.1 came out but it failed.
I will try older versions of the launcher tomorrow to see what can be done.
@vmjbm please update when able, i hope you'll be able to find a way around the problem that is occuring and get is working again. i really appreciate the work you've done and have enjoyed your mod thus far
thanks for trying. i really appreciate it.
So if i want to play the game again i have to overcome my hate for 2.3. *sigh*.
Either that or not playing. Can't play without the wolves anymore.
It's not that i don't want, but i can't. Taking a look at the forum, it seems that some people tried the same thing and fail.
and now it doesn't work anymore with 2.1.3 ..
i really hate 2.3. and don't want to play it. Any possibility that you can make it workable with 2.1.3 and 2.4. ?
greetings
