it's sound level adjustments. It doesn't increase the volume by changing the waveforms, it changes the volume that the explosions are played at. It also turns down the ambient sound.

so the difference between this and your original warm sounds mod is the explosions correct?

theres a restriction on the file soundmixers.txt (because it lets you adjust volume levels, so it may have something to do with that)

Hello there. Why explosion sounds are not working in multiplayer? Everything is OK when I'm playing solo.

Omg. As a Squad fan I just played the game and thought it was too much like BF4 sound design wise. Everything compressed to shit. I go on the workshop and find this mod. Thanks for making this.

I said that in the desc- that file allows you to change audio levels, but NWI doesn't want me doing that. Why can't they just let us live in audio heaven?

i cant join any servers because of "soundmixers.txt"

Ooooh now I get it

sound waves have a volume limit on themselves, but you can adjust the dynamic range by increasing the volume of the speakers and decreasing the volume of the waves, a game like squad has amazing sound (you just have to turn it up).
Shotgun 14 May, 2017 @ 3:34pm
It's like, sounds have a noise limit to not make them sound much more than they actually do?
Sigh-Ops  [author] 14 May, 2017 @ 3:32pm
you mean distorted? loudness is what you have a volume knob for.
Shotgun 14 May, 2017 @ 3:12pm
I still think that firing sounds should be louder

much better explosion sounds now. Thanks!
