please update!
The_Penis_Genius 6 Jul, 2020 @ 12:20pm
With the introduction of Hussites the mod no longer works. Is there any chance that you could update this? It's one of my favorite mods.
The_Penis_Genius 18 May, 2020 @ 3:26am
Do you plan on updating this?
Sea Catsnake 15 Feb, 2020 @ 1:04am
Is it possible to update this into the new format so it works with current EU4? I really like the colors this changes things to but it doesn't seem to work with the new launcher.
Smartguy725 13 Apr, 2019 @ 10:37pm
I mainly meant like giving color to the CK2 religions, though that'd still be out of the range of the mod
reddbane  [author] 28 Mar, 2019 @ 10:24am
@Smartguy725
No. Technically I believe the religion file is dynamically created based on the status of the CK2 save, as it needs to take into account some things, like the possibility of the papacy mechanics switching religions or entirely being disabled.
reddbane  [author] 28 Mar, 2019 @ 10:18am
@Nik
What appears to be the problem.
Smartguy725 27 Mar, 2019 @ 10:01pm
I don't remember asking this, but have you thought of coloring the exporter religions, or stuff in CK2?
Nik 27 Mar, 2019 @ 4:27pm
Doesn't appear to be working anymore sadly
Lehvant 4 Mar, 2019 @ 2:51am

Updated to 1.25
New Anglican Colour added.
reddbane  [author] 8 Feb, 2018 @ 10:54am
@Smartguy725
Most likely Sarum Blue, since it is unique to the Anglican church.
Smartguy725 7 Feb, 2018 @ 10:40pm
Guess Anglicanism's going to need a new color via this mod
reddbane  [author] 7 Jan, 2018 @ 11:46am
Updated to 1.24.
Agnitio Ex Machina 2 Jan, 2018 @ 1:23pm
I think that, because the Copts are predominantly in Ethiopia, the Copts should use the colors of the Ethiopean church. Unless what you meant by "varies significantly" means that there is no cohesive color for them.
reddbane  [author] 19 Nov, 2017 @ 7:54pm
Update to 1.23 probably won't occur until December at least.
WIXA 19 Nov, 2017 @ 6:50pm
update to 1.23
reddbane  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 11:47am
Updated some colors to be more accurate or increase visibility.

In fact Shito is Japanese folk belief like Animism.
It was absorbed by Mahayana.Buddish made it became a part of Mahayana.So japanese still worship it.
And Japanese culture was dominated by Chinese Culture after Taika Era reforms.Bushito is base on Confucianism(More use Mencius's thought rather than Confucius).Tokugawa Shogunate also use neo-confucianism to manage state stably.
So I think it should be similar with Animism or Mahayana or Confucianism.
Nowdays Shinto was separated in Meiji Restoration and be used to brainwash Japanese people in WW2.After WW2,there happened much in Japan,and Shinto became a part of culture of Japanese people's life.:IF_VII:

@Norse Modder
Mahayana is the most poplular religion in China and Japan.
You may think Buddish is a low-tolerated as Christianity,but infact,buddish hardly make another religion disappear.
If there was Buddish not Christianity missionized in Scandinavia,the Norse won't be distroyed like today.Buddish usually make another religions' myth system become a part of Buddish's world,just like Shito and Taoism.You can still found Bon(Tibetian folk belief),Shenism(Chinese folk belief),Shito(Japanses folk belief),and Korean religion in Buddish.
But as a political theory,Confucianism object a religion become too important in goverment,so it limit the power of Mahayana.:china_icon:

@Norse Modder
Chinese and Jpanese don't trade it as religion.:steammocking:

In fact black mean much in China.
Just because of Baoqingtian.
Unluck you know.....
Death you know......
Erudite because of ink.

Alright sounds reasonable and you can be sure I'll download that one too
reddbane  [author] 22 May, 2017 @ 3:06pm
I'm saving Maya Azure for an upcoming Nation recolouring mod, for the Mayan tag obviously. I choose Jade because of the religious Symbolism in Mayan culture.
agu 22 May, 2017 @ 2:46pm
May I suggest Maya Blue for Mayans? :)

Ironman is broken, I'd recommend adding that to the description.

The checksum is changed since the edited file is not a graphical file, but a .txt file in a subfolder of common. The Wiki (slightly outdated but works) says that all .txt files under common (including subfolders) changes the checksum.

I must say I LOVE the colors in this mod, but since it breaks Ironman I will have to go without it.

Good work otherwise! :)
reddbane  [author] 21 May, 2017 @ 5:19pm
In regards to the Hindu, I choose color Sampling from older, darker, "Saffron Flags", at least as they are recorded by certain flag historians. The Redder Saffron also helps distinguish it from the Yellow Saffron of it's Buddhist neighbors.
reddbane  [author] 21 May, 2017 @ 3:08pm
Confucianism is now a slightly lighter shade of (and a little Blue tinted) Black, so as to prevent "Blackouts" on Transparent Map modes. I will post an updated Screenshot soon. I also might change Shinto to better differentiate it from Orthodox and Vajrayana (for the Colorblind). Anyone with any expertise on Shintoism and Japanese culture could make some suggestions in the Suggestion Thread.
rocks? 21 May, 2017 @ 3:00pm
The new yellow looks pretty good, and gives off a better essence, to what I assum you were origanally going for. The reason I found the yellow off putting to begin with was because it resembled overly preserved corn, such as frozen corn, a but to much. Anyway good work on this.
Norse Modder 21 May, 2017 @ 9:33am
@我他妈摸豹 it is a relgion...
The Last Royal 21 May, 2017 @ 7:21am
Good job.. Just a small correction. The colour is deep Saffron for Hindu. Its little too reddish at the moment.
ciji 21 May, 2017 @ 3:33am
Nice work! You did more than I would ever do on this kind of thing.
reddbane  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 10:19pm
The Mod has been updated with some new colors for Animists and Totemists. Totemists are now a more subdued shade of yellow called "Harvest Gold", and Animists use a more subdued shade of green called "Rainforest". I also changed the Ibadi color when I realized the color I picked also has ties to the Persian (and Shiite) Safavid Dynasty, and used a slightly brighter Green occasionally used by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, a Pan-Islam group.
安非他命 20 May, 2017 @ 9:33pm
I don't know how you reached the conclusion that Confucianism's color is black.In fact,black is the representative color of Taoism.Confucius considers red is orthodox(Of course, Confucianism is not actually a religion)
Voltaire! 20 May, 2017 @ 7:11pm
this mod is a mod i never knew i needed, but i needed it.
CorsarioFantasma 20 May, 2017 @ 5:45pm
Could you put the original color of the Reformed again? I think it looks prettier, and I think it makes a better contract with the dark blue Protestant and the white Catholic.
reddbane  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 2:38pm
It changes the "00_religion.txt" file, so no.
Fellelin Gohkhwkhip Pi Kopqi Sú 20 May, 2017 @ 1:31pm
ironman compatible?
reddbane  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 11:26am
@Turpasauna
At the moment this is only for the default game religions, Suomenusko does not appear in the “00_religion.txt" unless you import a game from CK2, which functions in-game as a mod that replaces the vanilla “00_religion.txt" file, along wih other things.
Gothera 20 May, 2017 @ 9:50am
Great mod, love the work that went into it, but with so many hours put into Eu4 this just looks wrong. XD
Larry1391 20 May, 2017 @ 5:17am
Charming
Draíocht 20 May, 2017 @ 1:26am
@reddbane
My compliments! It looks great, and I love the historical reasoning for the colours.

If you're taking suggestions, I'll admit I was actually rather fond of vanilla's gentle brown for Totemic, and thought the earthy colour was well suited, but that ignores the colour-blindness issue, so please feel free to ignore me =D

Good work.
Turpasauna 20 May, 2017 @ 12:33am
Will the ultimate glorious true faith of suomenusko remain as shit brown forever
reddbane  [author] 20 May, 2017 @ 12:27am
Perhaps I could experiment with some Darker Yellows.
rocks? 19 May, 2017 @ 11:46pm
Thats fare. The yellow is just off putting to me, overall though this mod is great for what it is.
ᄆᆞᄅᆞ 19 May, 2017 @ 10:48pm
I think it does not compatible with ironman.
But It's a good mod.
