@Minaro, @Banana - does anyone know how to edit this mod so that riposte/guard work for two turns? I think the highwayman mod suffers from the same error with riposte, it only lasts 1 turn when it should technically last 2

@Banana: This is due to a change Red Hook made back in ~june when CoM was released - there was a massive patch with lots of changes to the core game, one was the change of when the duration checks for buffs, debuffs and similar is made. They made changes as appopriate to all the core abilities, but anything in mods would be off compared to before. Effectively buffs made to others would have one more effective turn than before (as it would end before he could use them), while anything affecting the character themselves will last one turn shorter.

However, a lot of modders have either not picked up on this or made changes to take this into consideration - this modline is one of them. I noticed myself after picking up an old 'Unchained' save, some abilities that only effectively lasted for one turn will last for "two" (effectively often 1½) and while any selfbuffs lost one turn.

I don't know about the other characters, but MAA's Riposte and Guard abilities only last for one round. In the files the duration is probably listed as "2", but this value includes the turn that the ability is activated.

I don't know what it is, but a majority of hero mods seem to have made this same mistake. I'm just baffled that nobody has fixed them yet, and it's becoming frustrating.

Siempre sentia injusticia cuando mi arbalestera / mosquetera era atacada cuerpo a cuerpo y yo con el cruzado o el hombre de armas no podía. Aun no pruebo tu mod pero espero q la marca se da cuando activas proteccion a un aliado. tipo el hombre de armas se acerca para cubrir y le encarga al aliado cubierto q mate primero al enemigo marcado, no se, sinceramente espero mucho de este mod.

Can the Guard and Riposte be made longer? Its weird as 1 turn event. Happy to edit your work myself but dont see a length/turn trigger in the files.

I have been using your mod and I have checked that the protection of the crusader and the other mercenaries wearing heavy armor does not raise the protection you mention, could you please check

my dude you need. NEED. to nerf Bolster. +10 dodge all battle for one action is busted (especially if youre running a pair of them and/or an antiquarian)
i'm sitting at 30+ dodge across the board with a level 1 party, it's kind of insane.

Hey guys I have updated the mod and it should now work properly with the new Color of Madness DLC. I am sorry you had to wait but I haven't even tried the DLC myself yet :steamhappy:

If it doesn't work try to unsubscribe, restart steam, and then subscribe again.
If you have an in-game issue after you've done that, leave a comment.

I did not add the new abilties and stats changes from the DLC (except for the new buff you get when you crit) and I do not plan to add them anytime soon. If you want to make these changes feel free to use the files from this mod and upload your version (just put my nickname somewhere). I can also update this mod with your modifications, your work will of course be credited.

I actually approve of these good worth. Still against natural prot and dodge debuffs all over the place are a tad unnecessary.

Love the added mark, it makes so much sense lore wise because he's the commander of the group who singles out a foe for the others to attack.

I can also confirm @Loklin's fix. His suggestion restored the man at arms and helped fix another issue with the musketeer unchained.

@Loklin's workaround fixed the problem. At first it didnt seem to work but it appears that setting the UNCHAINED mods at the top of the load priority is what finally solved the issue. cheers!

Try this: Unsubscribe from the MAA: Unchained mod, then go to the Darkest Dungeon workshop folder
(Windows(C:) > Programe Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 262060)
and delete the "927385404" folder.
Finally try subscribing again.
Make also sure the Unchained mods are at the top of the mod list (in game)

@Fatalista the riposte is now on the "Defender" ability.

Hey, just a heads up. MAA unchained stopped working for me today. i love the mod but it seems like it broke somehow. I've tried a few things but none fixed the issue.

It's not really about the weapon and more about the fact that he is a war veteran, he acts like a commander making his army's attacks more precise.
As for the Hellion she hits like a fury and destroys the opponen't armor.

i think it would make more sense to have him reduce protection instead of dodge with his attacks. Since he has an armorpiercing weapon (Mace)to begin with. And the Hellion's weapon should reduce dodge , since it has higher reach and can slice tendons with it.

(ex : HP, DMG, Crit)

Finally, it was a problem on my side. Somehow, it didn't happen again after 3 runs with a BH (same evening). Strange but everything is alright now. Sorry and thanks again for your work !

Hey, I was wondering. Why does Man at Arms can mark, while Occultist and Bounty Hunter can't mark anymore (with your mods) ? Is it a minor bug or did I miss something ? ^^'

Your modifications are amazing, really good balanced, congrats. Have you thought about change the ability which activates the counterattack? (I don't have the game in English so not sure about its name xd). I do not understand why can't it be used from row 4; should be perfect with the ability to protect another hero, the two team-buffs and his shield that only works in the 4th row. Has no sense that exists the trinket but only 3 abilities for row 4 :unterzee:

@Helion139 Buffing his dmg seems like a good idea but I think buffing his riposte would just make him way too strong. I'll do some testing though, thanls for your comment!

Welp he is the heaviest guy 20prot is a joke should be in range of 30-40 you should buff riposte and normal mace attack to enable alternate dmg playstyle
