@Rexous I bow in deep gratitude, my Liege! :income::steamhappy:
Rexous 27 May, 2023 @ 9:12am
i RESPECT this mod, have some points good sir.
MrMiyagi  [author] 1 Apr, 2022 @ 9:13am
Wow, that's weird! Everything is just fine. The pillars are missing - what's weird is that those pillars are from the default game, not the workshop, so... they shouldn't be missing. It won't harm anything at all, though. Magic floaty bridges? :laughing_yeti:

If you use the mod Move It, just wiggle the bridge ends a bit and a pillar should "magically" appear on its own.
Drewhue 28 Mar, 2022 @ 4:08pm
In my version for some reason all the things that hold up the bridge and railway are missing.. I subb'd to all the required files, and the bridges just seem to float? is there an asset I'm missing?
MrMiyagi  [author] 10 Nov, 2021 @ 2:46pm
It's an unforgettable drive!
rockemjochim 10 Nov, 2021 @ 2:23pm
Love that you put the Skyway in there. I drive over it all the time. Awesome bridge, especially at night time! :)
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Nov, 2021 @ 1:47pm
HAHA I've seen this game have such a glitch as well, so no worries! I was thinking the same as you. XD XD
Kaivian 9 Nov, 2021 @ 1:46pm
Oh, ROFL!

I've just seen other games have glitches like that, and it seemed so out of place! Good to know, thank you!
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Nov, 2021 @ 1:43pm
So, it's supposed to be there :winter2019joyfultearssnowman: sorry about that, it didn't click in my head.

If you don't like it, you can easily change it: round it off or do whatever you wish with it. Open it in map editor, make your changes to the land, press play fast forward, let the tsunamis go crazy and once they calm down, save the map with your own name and tadah! you have your own version without a square artificial land area. Restart game, start your city.
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Nov, 2021 @ 1:40pm
Oh THAT! The screenshot helped. Go to the last image above^and in the top row, middle square, you will see the two intersections and the square land. That's supposed to be an artificial extension of the land to accommodate a large port and industrial area with room even for an airport. It is in a spot that is strategically hidden from all the nicest views on the island. It's square so you can put a quay all along it.
This is common in real life landscapes that are similar, like Nagasaki's many artificial land extensions to hold its industrial and port facilities https://goo.gl/maps/uppbQrDhAJSMdahQ7

I tried turning off all mods and starting a new game (in both versions of the map) and it's present with both. I own all the major DLC, and downloaded everything in the sidebar. Can you verify it's working for you?

Kaivian 4 Nov, 2021 @ 9:55pm
No worries. I know how it goes. Maybe I'll try turning them off and on again to figure out which one it is. I'm mostly using Biffa's list with a bunch of intersections from MaxFx
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Nov, 2021 @ 1:32pm
Wow, that's a crazy one! Definitely a mod but I couldn't tell you which. There are so many possibilities for cross-mod conflicts that cause whacky things like that. :(
Kaivian 3 Nov, 2021 @ 11:13am
Could be because of another mod I have installed, but I have a glitch on the map about 3 districts above the starting district. Instead of having a coastline, it's just a square of grass.
MrMiyagi  [author] 11 Sep, 2021 @ 1:09pm
Oh NO! This is why I disable all disasters. Can't stand them ruining all my work. :lunar2020horrifiedrat:
Psygomin 25 Jul, 2021 @ 11:50am
was loving this map untill between my pc and the game it self i was hit by 7 tsunami's in 15 minuts of time. 3 actual major tsunamis and the other 4 where split between earthquakes and meteors. 44,000 population just scraped off the map. i shoulda quit a few days ago when i was getting 2 or 3 disasters at one time. place was beautiful and fun till i was told with out any control from me that i was done with that city
MrMiyagi  [author] 17 Mar, 2021 @ 7:46am
Hi clauscasti, yes, all maps will work with Sunset Harbor. The mechanic used by the game to determine the fish type is depth and current speed, so all maps will have fishing available.

Making money at fishing is its own problem, though. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:
claucasti 14 Mar, 2021 @ 4:45pm
Will this not work with sunset harbor? my fisheries don't make money
MrMiyagi  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 6:01am
Thanks Ventru!
MrMiyagi  [author] 12 Jun, 2020 @ 1:40pm
Thanks Teoz! Don't worry, I won't stop. There are two new maps in progress right now. :) I'm just slower at it as of late.
Snarky Puppy 12 Jun, 2020 @ 4:35am
MrMiyagi, please don't stop creating maps! I personally find them as the best maps for my personal gameplay. And having a look on YT, it doesnt seem I'm the only one loving them <3 Thanks for you job dude <3
MrMiyagi  [author] 31 May, 2020 @ 1:44pm
Yep, I myself reduced the height of the big spring (water spawn) because it doesn't look realistic to be flowing out of a central direction so hard, but it's there for newbies to make sure their water intake vs sewage flow doesn't run into trouble, which happens a lot. Sort of a fool-proof fail safe for beginners :D Since this map, I've started making access to two totally separate water sources instead of one shoreline so that I don't have to place unrealistic springs, and it's even more fool proof.
Oddible 30 May, 2020 @ 2:03pm
Looks amazing, can't wait to try it. Odd water movement issue right at the start location. Apparently there is a VERY LARGE underground spring right there so the water flows in both directions away from the start location :) Ideally the water would just flow one way past that island near the start.
MrMiyagi  [author] 13 May, 2020 @ 6:38am
Hurray, glad you found it. Indeed, it is almost always a mod. The other possibility is that sometimes when you use Move It to move a building like a harbor, passenger train station or airport, the invisible connections are broken, and then no ships / planes / trains come to your city any more. Gotta pick it up and replace it manually.
Playerguy11 11 May, 2020 @ 6:12pm
Ok so I think what was causing the issue was the Optimized Outside Connections Mod, still running some tests but ships are back!
Playerguy11 10 May, 2020 @ 12:47pm
I can't import or export anything via water on this map for some reason, been wrecking my brain trying to figure out why no ships spawn or come in... Will keep looking and post an update
MrMiyagi  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 7:02am
I haven't opened this map in a long time, so I'll be interested to hear what's found on it. :)
MrMiyagi  [author] 14 Apr, 2020 @ 7:01am
Yes, as long as there is water on a map, there will always be at least one fish (that is, if you have the Sunset Harbor DLC). What determines the fish types is water depth and current. Given the strong water flows and water depth variation on this map, I expect there to be multiple fish types even though this was made way before Sunset Harbor. Here's the formula:
Anchovy: shallow + still water
Salmon: shallow + fast flowing water
Shellfish: deep + still water
Tuna: deep + fast flowing water
Zyme 13 Apr, 2020 @ 4:55am
So there is fish on this map?
MrMiyagi  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 3:35am
Hi, maps don't need updates to function. :)
Zyme 12 Apr, 2020 @ 4:51pm
Can you update for sunset harbor? Thanks.
add_the_guard 10 Feb, 2020 @ 8:47pm
It's very attractive.. I have found there's not much build area and too many trees (there goes frame rate!)
belugabae 15 Sep, 2019 @ 8:53am
Is anyone else having issues with too many planes or is it just me?
Prand 14 Apr, 2019 @ 5:02pm
Oh sorry bout the long time, but I was actually using the vanilla tree remover and the map was with them D:
TY for the attention! Awesome map! :mailedfist:
MrMiyagi  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 4:17am
The corals have been restored. What trees are you missing?
Prand 21 Mar, 2019 @ 7:39pm
there is no corals or trees in the map, here the collection don't have these. The autor deleted it? :steamsad:
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Nov, 2018 @ 3:07am
Oh, ps. the reason why that land is square and has a heavy oil deposit is because that is meant to be your port area. It also has great access to shipping lanes. Putting oil industry there, with its big refinery containers, looks pretty cool in a port area.
MrMiyagi  [author] 19 Nov, 2018 @ 3:05am
Hi RocketmanChronicals, yes, if you use a map theme other than the one created specifically for this map, and the oil color that other map theme uses is really bold, then that oil deposit will look awful. You have three choices:
- go with the map theme for this map, located here (see 8th image for the nice, subtle oil and ore colors https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=928333414
- pick another custom map theme that doesn't have bold colors for oil and ore
- get the awesome No Radioactive mod by BloodyPenguin, which allows you to turn off all kinds of things like ground pollution, oil, ore, fertile etc colors, among other features.

Hope that helps and yes, I agree with your assessment, which is why I created the special map theme in the first place :D Happy building!
RocketManChronicles 18 Nov, 2018 @ 2:18pm
There is a spot one one side of the main island where you have a large oil deposit that is perfectly square in shape. It really looks out of place on this otherwise beautiful map.
MrMiyagi  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 8:00am
You're welcome LIDL! :)
cotte039 you don't need Parklife, this map was made before Parklife, even. What you describe is definitely a mod issue. Very frustrating! I use so few mods, and I suggest using no mods (meaning, anything in the "mod" category in the workshop). Custom trees, props, buildings and other workshop items are almost always quite safe to use.
LIDL 1 Sep, 2018 @ 12:10am
For this Beautiful map i am going to have to try it out
many thanks for ur hard work
Ideology 27 Jul, 2018 @ 4:57pm
Been having some issues with the map - I cannot see the water pipe blue or electricity blue areas, no cars or people are entering my city, and when buildings spawn they immediatly despawn. Tried googling this and couldn't find a reason why. I'm not plopping buildings onto the wrong zones. Just allowing the game to spawn them automatically. I do not have parklife so I'm assuming this is the reason why but could it be another mod messing with the map? I'm also thinking about trying the mod-free version to avoid these problems. Please help me if you know whats going on! Thanks. Beuitiful map by the way :)
Ideology 27 Jul, 2018 @ 4:52pm
Do I need parklife to use this?
Nally 13 Jul, 2018 @ 10:46am
I really love all your creations Miyagi, great job ! *-* Can you send us your saved game from screens please ? I really want it for build around :) Kisses <3
Videonauth 12 Jul, 2018 @ 11:26am
Did not work, they did not move at all down or up, only sideways. I just replaced them after deletion.
MrMiyagi  [author] 12 Jul, 2018 @ 11:24am
Crazy. Well maybe a quick solution could be to use Move it's Marquee selection (with only props selected), highlight the coral reefs, and then page down until they're back where they're supposed to be.
Videonauth 12 Jul, 2018 @ 11:23am
For me the solution was to remove the reefs and replace them, now they're on the place I put them.
Videonauth 12 Jul, 2018 @ 11:22am
I have no clue either, normally all my mods not caused any floating trees or props till i started yesterday a new game on this map. So i thought i show it to you so you can have a check.
MrMiyagi  [author] 12 Jul, 2018 @ 11:16am
WT... :D That is bizarre! It's got to be a mod, but that's the first time I've seen underwater things float. Trees and props in midair, sure, but not this :D Sorry that I do not know which mod this could be.
