I am experiencing the old problem of this mod causing problems with some maps in YnAEMP.

- Tried to replicate reported issue of CTD occuring upon construction of the Archimedian Claw building - but without succes. Fortunately, I have never experienced CTDs happening bc of the UB and have only gotten one report on it.
IMPORTANT:
- This - and previous - versions contains a bug I have not been able to fix. The issue has to do with the UA and means that under very specific conditions the game *might* CTD. These conditions are that the player must be human (i.e. it will not happen for an AI player) and the player must expend two Great Engineers within only a few turns of each other. I am aware that this sounds weird - it is! - but unfortunately I have not been able to solve the issue.

urgh, sometimes Steam doesn't add the changelog after an update. So adding it here instead:
- Generally optimized code.
- Changed decisions text to JFD’s formatting.
- Fixed issue with two of the Archimedes decisions where the player wouldn’t get engineer and scientist points as intended.
- Changed UA such that you will now also get engineer points when buying siege units, where before this only applied to trained siege units.
- Changed the Syracusia unit to not be a special type unit (great person unit). It should still provide the effects of the great admiral tho, but this will avoid issues where city states can suddenly request or gift the Syracusia unit.
- Changed the flavors for the Archimedian Claw such that the AI is more likely to construct it.

When starting a game with just this mod and Ynaemp, when I try to start a game with ynaemp, there aren't any options to select any civs, or map options.

Weird, never been a problem for me and haven't heard about it from others. I would need your logs (namely the lua log) to be able to look into it tho.

Played as Syracuse, but when chosing the Claw city it crashes.

Apologies for the repeat messages, but I noticed a somewhat irritating bug: if the Syracuse mod is active, the Syracusia appears on the tech tree at Sailing even though I'm not playing as Syracuse and don't have E&D active, and city-states will request that I create a Syracusia as a "generate a Great Person" quest. Barring a lucky Patronage finisher gift, I don't think it's possible to do that, making the quest near-impossible.

@2Miles5280s,call it a compromise :) I couldn't find anything suitable that I liked I then just kept the Tartessos music on as a temporary placeholder. I thought it would be better than no music.

If you can suggest anything, then I'm all ears

Why don't they have the Book of Peace? I was kinda disappointed it wasn't based on the Syracuse in Sinbad. Still, the archer was awesome.

@TonToE, you are right about that - in my games I haven't really found it a problem, but let me know if you do and I see if I can't balance it further.

@Jc Is Petty, yes, it is compatible with IGE - I think you can actually see in the screenshots above, that I'm using IGE as well ;)

Looks interesting. I'll have to try it sometime. Only concern is that great engineers are pooled with great scientists, thus raising the requirements for a scientist when an engineer is born. If the points granted by his UA are enough, it could offset this issue.

Well my first game was on my Admin profile and I think I add some mods which conflicted. I went back to "my" profile and used all the same mods I had been using along with this mod and I didn't have any problem. So now I need to reconcile which mod conflicted.

Oh and troodon25? I think until Civ V can have mods like Planetfall, Dune Wars and Fall From Heaven II that it will always lag behind Civ IV.

it's nice to see some modders still working with Civ V. No matter how Civ VI gets updated, I will always consider Civ V the best game in the series. WIth it's maps, (The civ historical range maps) it's art style and overall gameplay, I just feel like it's one of those near timeless games. Consider this a heartfelt thank you for continuing to make Civ V mods.

I practically only tested this with the CP enabled, so yeah it's compatible. Haven't tested with the balance patch - vox populi or whatever it's called. It's also compatible with all of JFD's gameplay mods.

Are you using other mods?

Why does the map look so weird? Great to see it released. I was worried that no modder would release any more mods since the Civ VI mod tools were released a few months back. The loyal few shall remain.

omg, look what i did see, a new civ in May 2017.... I thought we would never have new civs again from elite modders.
