Okay, fair enough, I just wondered if it was intentional or an incompatibility with any of the other mods I'm using.
I just lost due to a critical failure on a 5 percent failure chance anomaly within my starting system, isn't that a bit extreme?
- Slower colonization
- Less colonization competition
- More realism but playable start
Space Station instead Spaceport
- Slow start
- Less powerplay
Only science ship from the beginning"
I feel like these two additions, while interesting, should probably be a seperate mod. You basically have 5 major changes packed into 1 mod that's meant to be dealing with ship sizes, with only 3 of them being relevant to the title.
You have to work hard on a capital ship. ^^
Sure ... a higher build time is not a problem. Costs and hit points are ... the balancing between the whole mods is the problem. It would be the next step. I think about it.
Is there any chance you could make a mod that makes ships slightly more durable to make them last longer, but also increase build cost to make them less disposable and encourage smarter fleet deployment?
1. Change Destroyer from 10 to 8. Keeps with 4x multiplier of lower tiers.
2. Make RS Dreadnoughts 36 rather than 40. They are really "between" Battleships & Carriers based on stats.
3. Change SCX Superdreadnought from 80 to 85, leave NSC Superdreadnought at 80. SCX has 4000 HP on NSC here, needs to be "shown" in capacity.
4. Titans are NOT equivalent to Superdreadnoughts. Not even close. Therefore, I recommend the following: Titans = 120, Leviathans = 150. Erebus, Avatar, Ragnarok are okay for now.
5. Change the NSC Flagship from 100 to 150 at least. It's more powerful than you think.
For the most part however, this listing is pretty good. Unfortunately, you cannot ever get real balance because of different mods, but this should get your pretty close. Good luck.
If you have any specific suggestions for balancing, please write them down.
Then I think about it. ^^
Overall, pretty good values. I would argue a few need to go up/down (NSC Flagship for instance), but this is as good as you can do without balancing out each mod.
Finally, any chance you would add SCX to your support? That's the only other major ship class mod.
