I'm not sure but I think you need to decompile the .mdl file and then create the simplistic UV map in your modeling program.

You just need to make simple uv map and image of it.

Yes, I'm aware of this. The problem was that I don't have a good sound on hand, I'm recycling a sound for right now.

It handles better than any other car I've tried on the workshop, but the engine sound cuts out after about 10 seconds of holding W.

Could you bodygroup the doors, the trunk and hood so its openable in the bodygroups ?
For example : Hood (Open/Closed)
