It is an old layout, and follows the Spilskinanke school of track design where there's a difficulty spike at some point along the course.

Cairodrome II smoothens out the difficulty curve by getting rid of the very punishing tunnel section while increasing the difficulty elsewhere on the track.

it's curious how this track is both rather easy and also incredibly punishing wiht some collisions lol

This track is one that will punish you *harshly* if you don't keep a consistent line. Irregular rock faces in the outdoor sections and jutting sections of wall in the (DARK!) interior section towards the tail end of the run are very easy to plant your nose into.

The pitlane is also punishingly long; avoid combat here unless you want to lose a couple seconds taking a long detour.

There seems to be a somewhat recent bug with the game regarding scenery collisions. I'm not sure if this is fixable.

I have had a couple of crashes on this track (Windows 10) This is the only track though, I tested all your tracks over the past couple of days while putting them into the mod folder so I could categorise them. This one seems to crash every race for me.

There's a bug with custom tracks in general and Linux.

This track always causes the Linux version to crash about halfway through a lap. No idea what's causing it.

This is so awesome! I remember playing this track for hours on end at night time, trying to master the last section on hyperspeed.

Looks very good tho. Because of it's track design, it looks like a mix between Florion Height and Temtesh Bay from WipEout Fusion.

Great map, one suggestion, the first turn that leads into the tunnel could use a light.

Brilliant map. You could probably do something similar with Beetle Adventure Racing's Sunset Sands, from the textures used.
