Brilliant! Took me a long time to figure out what the elevator was for ;)

Nice puzzle! Trickier than I'd thought it would be. I never thought to double-loop in the floor-ceiling pair for max height through the flip panel, and instead opted to achieve near-max height using the high angled panel and hit the track button at the peak of my jump

Really nice map, fun portal management and flings :) Fun challenge: solve without using the portal surface next to the fizzler-button that has the arrow pointing toward it.

Awesome map, thanks for your work. Good use of portals, and flings to get cube to exit. Fav.

Also, now I'm gonna make a puzzle at some point entirely on throwing cubes across walls and into portals.
Prototypical 25 Feb, 2019 @ 1:55pm
No, it's a good puzzle! I got super stuck once I had the box, and I hatched a plan to try to get the box up by tossing it from the 2nd layer through a portal and out the ramp. Sadly, the cube can't get enough momentum doing that to make it, as I learned after the ~5th attempt.

I mean there's only so far I can or am willing to go to prevent a thing like cube throwing, as often absolutely making sure any possible insane toss can't happen will require some compromise on other areas of the design, and also on that first room because it's a tutorial area. I'm glad you don't think it's intended. It pretty much never is in logic puzzles anyway. Thanks a lot for playing!

Otherwise, Excellent puzzle!

seeing this and using it as an example, 1st room I yeeted the box into the area. Gonna solve it the right way tho, cause yeets are no fun.

I've seen experienced players take upwards of an hour to make sense of this map, which is why I set the difficulty like that. It's more of a heads up that this might take a while, and not to recommend it for very new players. It's a little more complicated than I usually make. Difficulty will vary per person of course.

Very nice momentum puzzle. I would put it more towards the medium end of the difficulty scale.

excellent map!

It definately sounds like the intended solution. There's a solution video up if if you want to check. Any exploit or variation that I care about has been edited out of the map after the contest, which is why it looks worse now, aesthetically ;) Thanks for playing man!

Also late thank you @libbybapa!

Yes! I finally got it! That was pretty sick and had to take a break before I could wrap my head around it. Assuming I did everything correctly, the part with jumping off and flinging onto the moving platform was genius and unlike anything I had ever seen before. No wonder it took me a while to get it. All in all very solid map, and all the steps were logical all the way up to the final steps that I got figured out first. Favorited. :)

Very nice puzzle. That took me a long time to solve. Thanks.
Mr Vapour Waterhandle  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 5:45am
Thanks! I don't think I can remove that, I've tested it and you can do that with just the angled panel even. It was intended to work your way backwards yes, although people seem to solve and enjoy it anyway :) I'll probably add a cube pictogram to the wall after the contest is done.
Rector 9 Jun, 2017 @ 4:37am
That was a fantastic puzzle! Though it was hard to work backwards for this since I only figured out what I was supposed to do when I was at the penultimate step. I did everything in the video as intended but instead of infini-flinging to get up to the high track platform area, I went through a portal and climbed up the angled panel, got on top of it (since there's a block there) and jumped from there .

I've added a temporary solution video. Lots of annoying glitchyness in the video, sorry for that. I'll try some other recording software later.

Alright, I'll take a look. Though I'm not sure you can link demo files in the discord? I'm fine with it being here if that's the case.

@Fumbly Bumbly
Forgot to say thanks a lot again!
K7 Avenger 28 May, 2017 @ 8:09am
@Mr Vapour Waterhandle Wow, I completely forgot to just put the cube there myself. I always do things the hardest way instead if the easy way for some reason, I'll link it in the discord.
Mr Vapour Waterhandle  [author] 28 May, 2017 @ 8:05am
I'm honestly having trouble understanding what exactly you did to make that work, unless you did everything the intended way, but then didn't drop the cube into the infinifling setup by using the wall surface, like in the introduction area . The intended solution doesn't require much timing at all. Can you do a demo file?
K7 Avenger 28 May, 2017 @ 7:32am
Excellent puzzle, took me way longer than I expected. The last move, (if I did it the intended way) did require me to be very fast. I had an orange portal on the top portable surface of the cube fling thing. a cube on the button that disabled the fizzler, so I could shoot my blue portal on the surface below the cube dispenser. Then I activated the button to drop a new cube, and then very quickly moved to the button to the disable the fizzler and shoot a blue portal on the bottom surface of the cube fling thing. That way the cube got in a loop, and then I could shoot a portal on the angled panel so the cube flies to the exit. Again I'm not sure if I did it right, but the part where I had to shoot the blue portal on the bottom surface the timing was very tight and has to retry a couple times.

Another excellent map! Thumbs up and added to my favourites :)
