Try Events.OnNewGame.Add ()
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 1 Dec, 2017 @ 1:12pm
Got It. I see this too now. The event is something like OnCharacterCreate, which I thought was only when you start a new game.

***For now, To use this mod, enable for character creation at game start... then disable it, before you load the game again*** This probably means that it does not work for MP. I will see what I can do to workaround/fix this.

Can confirm, the Additive on game load issue is still there
Slappy 20 Aug, 2017 @ 2:19am
Where can i download this outside of steam ?
Mossman180 30 Jul, 2017 @ 5:35pm
This is great.
L!ttle 28 Jul, 2017 @ 4:53pm
No, i have a few other mods active but I haven't tried it alone.
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 27 Jul, 2017 @ 6:23pm
does this happen if this is the only mod active?
L!ttle 27 Jul, 2017 @ 1:04pm
I'm having the same issue it would seem.
Equil 29 Jun, 2017 @ 10:16pm
37.14 which I believe is the current build
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 29 Jun, 2017 @ 5:22pm
weird. is this with stable current build? or a test build of PZ? The event is oncharactercreate that should not be fired unless you create a character.
Equil 29 Jun, 2017 @ 12:26am
I'm having a strange issue where this mod seems to be additive on game load. On a fresh save I'll have 5 guns skill and 3 electrcial, all good. But from then on everytime I load that save it will add another 5 gun skill and 3 electrical, so by the 4th load of the save I suddenly have maxed out electrical and gun skills, lol.

@Atlas1205 The average Chinese person spends 6-9 years learning English and usually 3 years learning a second, second language. That's far more than we (at least I am) Americans spend learning any other language (pre-college, about 3 give or take).

It just happens to be a funny coincidence that the more time people spend playing video games, the more they generally aren't very good students. For those people, even their native language tends to suffer, as said demographic is also massively disproportionately male and in most cultures, boys focus on more mathematical and scientific things...like playing computer games.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Good Luck with this Mod and all your future endeavors.
Colonnel Von Wilhelm 7 Jun, 2017 @ 1:43am
Really cool
Atlas1205 3 Jun, 2017 @ 9:02am
Stupid Chinese never learn English. Just ignore him.
Ives 3 Jun, 2017 @ 7:12am
So wait? This mod removes the absolutely useless guns by making them actually usable? The only thing I'm wondering is why this mod wasn't invented sooner.

中文有没有?
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 6:52pm
Its OK. I would put the mod folder in the C:\Users\<yourusername>\Zomboid\mods folder, and unsubscribe/remove the steam one. See if that works when you create a new character.
icarus the improviser 2 Jun, 2017 @ 6:47pm
i cound't fix it, firstly i must admit with embarasment, that the file was there, i just din't see it before,Now i come disgraced with the update that the mod isn't working, the file is there, it just won't work, i verifiyed the cache, but nothing saddly i don't know what could be causing such an issue, i already disabled all mods and tried running it alone, but it still doesn't work, it was working before,i think It must have been some error during gamplay that must have corrupted something in the mod, i will try to solve it still, and i have some ideas on what could be done.

your help would be most welcome if granted, i do know it can be getting tiresome at this point, or naggy, so if you wish i am offering you some steam cards for your help.

it is not working unfortunetly, could you please create an alternitive download link?
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 3:29pm
wierd, so this is a steam workshop problem? I usually unsubscribe, and the re-subscribe to force steam to delete then re-install. If that doesnt work, I will create a new link for you.
icarus the improviser 2 Jun, 2017 @ 3:19pm
i think i found the problem, the mod file ins't in my computer, and i am unable to download it, that is why its not taking effect, i can download it and zomboid will acknowledge that and will display it, but without the mod file, it will have no effect, i will ask a favor of you, if you would be willing to endulge me, could you make an alternitive download link for your mod file?i don't know how i will arrange it in the workshop, but i think it might work.
icarus the improviser 2 Jun, 2017 @ 3:07pm
no i know that, what i am trying to express, is that the perk ins't there for me to add, even after the md is enabled.
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 2:36pm
@icarus: no, dont disable it. just have this mod enabled, along with all the other mods. My point was that this mod needs to be activate/on when you create a new character (typically at new game). Thats when the perks get added. You cant enable the mod after a character is created and have perks added then. This is the only way I can think that this failed for you.
icarus the improviser 2 Jun, 2017 @ 2:07pm
@ddraigcymraeg, i am on the latest stable version, 37.14,i did not understand your instructions, it needs to be enabled everytime i am ought to make a new game?do you mean i am to disable and enable it again then do the new characther???uh..i did not understood.
Awesomeexplorer 2 Jun, 2017 @ 1:39pm
dude. stop using the cars mod. they released public testing of the vehicles. in the steam news, it can tell you how to add cars.

ddraigcymraeg  [author] 2 Jun, 2017 @ 11:40am
This will work everytime you create a new player (new game). The mod needs to be enabled as you create a new player. What version of PZ are you on?
icarus the improviser 2 Jun, 2017 @ 10:51am
hello mod aouthor,, thank you for the mod, its great, and makes my escort missions as a bad ass military guy that much cooler, but i am having some problems with it, as it happens for some reason now, i started the game up again, went to make a new game, and the perk ins't there to choose, even if i redownload it, or disable/enable it, its still not available to me, do you know how to fix this?or why its happening?
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 1 Jun, 2017 @ 5:49am
yeah, a broken generator, one that needs repair, that makes sense. I agree an electrical/mechanical skill is needed there. I would of preferred to no give 3 perk levels to users, but mod another way, to get the player to use good generators w.o. perks, but need them to repair. But this was the easiest way for me for how I like to play.
-Logan- 31 May, 2017 @ 10:34pm
lol i love this mod and agree most genarators will work straight off the shelf even after 5 years of sitting there, however statement (iii) seems false. can you find and fix a governor, exhaust system, piston rings, and valves all on your own? this being implied of a generator sitting for quite some time that someone has already used. for this a electrician/ small engine degree would work wonders.
xixol 31 May, 2017 @ 11:46am
Using a generator is not really hard in real life. Fill it with fuel, connect wires and switch it on.
neededlotus5 30 May, 2017 @ 11:49am
just pick the elite survivor mod and you are a jack of all trades:steammocking::steamfacepalm::steamsalty:

amen
ddraigcymraeg  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 10:04am
Yes, I totally agree. I use the power pump mod to use generators to get fuel for cars on gas stations after the power goes out.
Totally Not An Illuminate Spy 29 May, 2017 @ 7:47am
Heh, it always sort of bugged me that generators require a relatively high skill threshold. I mean, a typical off-the-shelf(metaphorically) emergency generator is extremely simple to operate - they are *literally* plug-and-play.
