Physical threat pirates still spawn for the monthly pulse event "pirate.4". This mod disables them but doesn't disable trade route drains.

Pirates are now "abstracted" into a drain on unprotected trade routes rather than an overt physical threat. I don't know if I'll reactivate this for now.

Will this also disable pirates for ai empires? I'm having the issue where I basically win the game for free because pirates wipe out any ai empire as soon as they go to war with somebody

Any chance to allow the first pirate event, but not the repeatables? I didn't mind it when it was just one early game event.
