From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

I've never heard of this problem, try restarting left 4 dead, or Verify integrity of game cache.

and all my check on characters. none of my skins or modded characters change. And I made sure to have them checked on add-ons and not conflict

for some reason this doesnt work for me. I went to my add-ons and made sure it was checked. I also made sure there were no conflicting files
