Hi there! I love this mod, but can you make this for the franks, please? And if you can make some walls (or almost take the original ones -or maybe better the north European-) and change the color of the stone to fit with the others? Thank you!!!

This mod is great; it is one of the few that I can use to get some of the ideas I have just right detail wise. I wish there were more romanesque and thatch and masonry type buildings so I could do more of the early period stuff I am thinking of. My only problem is that some of the buildings seem out of proportion with original graphics like the monastery, and the towers have a slimming perspective that is a little distracting, but I like the idea and the details are great. Wish there were more different designs like this.

To those who still has a very good Spanish mod I say, don't panic: In order to make it work again all you need to do is to give that mod HIGHER PRIORITY then this one.

As many requests it, this mod now changes both Spanish and Portuguese. As for walls, I won't make any for this particular mod, because I didn't create anything here, and this is not the kind of graphics I'm confortable to work with.

Will you ever finish the walls?

I like this mod very much, but I think it was much better for the Spanish, like it was originally. Could you change it again or make it for both civilizations?

make it for multiplayer!

On towers: there is a good italian tower mod on steam that actually uses the same turrets in the corners graphics as the Feitoria: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=798821389

Agreed on the stone/fortified walls/gates. The current ones unfortunately do not do justice on how great this mod is. This architecture pack would also be a much better fit for the spanish than the existing WEuropean set or even the italian set for the spanish IA. :-)

This is my favorite of your IA mods! Just one question: Will there be an update with new stone/fortified walls/gates? I see the note that there are none currently. The same with upgraded towers, are there any plans for an update? Thanks!

Yes I precised it in my description and explained why.

@ecl-inc : After being gone for a long time, this is finally done ! :)

@Redkirby @Dynamo128: Good news: The New Version of Independent Architecture (IA 5.5) now supports a seperate set for the Portuguese. So that is possile now.
Horrorvacui 28 Jun, 2017 @ 2:24am
Definitely the best architecture mod I've ever seen on steam workshop. You did just a perfect job, keep going! Any possibilities there will be a west-european architecture set for britons, celts or franks?
Ruderaeco 21 Jun, 2017 @ 5:41pm
This would be an incredible mod if it was completed (would fit both the Spanish and Portuguese). Alas, it is not. The lack of walls makes me feel like I have OCD :\
Redkirby  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 5:00am
@Dynamo128 : Portuguese civ isn't compatible with IA yet, you'll have to wait a little bit longer ;)
Ozhara 9 Jun, 2017 @ 3:32am
Take a look at my mod manager. It enables you to convert mods into IA compatible mods for the IA civ of your choice. :)
Dynamo128 9 Jun, 2017 @ 3:08am
hey man. I think it'd be really good if you converted this set so it can be used for the portuguese. so we can have the aragonese set someone else published for the spanish and this for the portuguese, that'd be amazing and I'd be grateful if you could do so. Thank you.

oui sa marche tres bien

@ coquerelcorentin : Spanish = Espagnols. Mais tu auras besoin du mod Independent Architecture, tu as réussi à le faire fonctionner finalement ?

For me the point is the original developers [Ensemble Studios] decided to convert their black shadows (from alpha, beta and small buildings in release version) to the transparent ones. Okay they did not convert every shadow, but that was a time/money decision. So the question is ... shall we continue what they began or not ... I say we should - because it looks so much nicer.
[your opinion might differ]
Redkirby  [author] 1 Jun, 2017 @ 4:23pm
@Ozhara I published a new set today, but it was almost finished when you talk me about your tool. Gonna test it very soon :).

@blk_panther For me, the point isn"t if I like it or not, it's just that I'm a little bit cartesian sometimes XD So in my mind, if others original sets got black shadows, the ones I'm building had to have black shadows too, I follow the same rule. (Except of course for Castle, Monastery, Docks, Mill, Town Centers, Walls and Towers).
blk_panther 31 May, 2017 @ 11:43pm
You can reunite shadows without the need to blacken them with Advanced Genie Editor! [Or do you like the black shadows better?]
Personally I like this mod better than other spanish ones - but hate black shadows!
Ozhara 31 May, 2017 @ 6:24am
You can also mark mods that your mod depends on with my tool for example.
In one of the next versions I'll add a load order helper that activly takes into account those information (and others), so people can't mess up their load order.
Ozhara 31 May, 2017 @ 6:17am
As written, my IA conversion is limited to existing mods for now.
You can 'trick' it by creating a local mod and adding all new graphics though.

You can then use that local mod as a base for my IA mod conversion.
This way you need to do some work manually (for now) - but you at least save the time of renaming all the files.
Ozhara 31 May, 2017 @ 6:13am
I mean this one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=195195570

You can open a dialog there, that enables you to choose the IA civ the mod is supposed to cover, a default civ to fill up missing graphics if needed/wanted and a source mod that you want to convert into a IA compatible format.
(For now you can only convert existing mods, later you will be able to create them from the ground.)

You can then assign single graphics to the IA civs entries, or let my tool do this automatically - or in a combined way. It's all explained in the manual.
My tool will then create a new local mod with all the chosen graphics having the correct slp numbers for the chosen IA civ.
Redkirby  [author] 31 May, 2017 @ 5:16am
Yes, I have 2 others sets in mind, 1 perhaps today, and another one later cause it needs some work before beeing published :).

Are you talking about this ? => https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=267618740

What do you mean by create them automatically ? If it can be useful, I will gladly test it of course :)
Ozhara 31 May, 2017 @ 2:47am
In case you plan on doing more IA compatible building sets - I added an option to my mod manager to create them automatically.
Any 'real' feedback (other than from the testing that was done) on it would be great. :)
