Nice puzzle, took a little while to figure out the mechanics, who did what to whom, etc. (It was Professor Plum, in the library!)

yes the white fizzler is because i made this with an old version of bee that forgot to pack the custom fizzler texture

Pretty simple. I've stumbled upon a map like this once, forgot the name, I only remember portal gun buttons didn't render at all and didn't generally work (I don't have BEEmod installed). These buttons work but there's a weird white opaque rectangle instead of the exit fizzler.

Very good map. I thought it would be really simple (just a basic concept of portals aren't closed when you walk through a fizzler ) but it ended up taking more thought than I had initially expected. Thumbs up and favorited.

First I got that cube, second I shot a blue portal at the laser switch, then I throwed the cube on the button while I was going through the fizzler, xd

@bullfrog: Under certain conditions, there may be a problem if there is more than one orange button in one puzzle. Crawling through fizzlers, without Portal Gun can not remove portals, this is the normal feature of PORTAL2. Fizzler is tied to Portal Gun. Nothing less I've created for this concept an "Absolute fizzler" item that ignores the Portal Gun but detects player. This fizzler is here in the exit corridor, unfortunately not shown here, because there is missed texture. Clever map again. I'm always a little confused with this concept by crossing the flizzers if the portals disappear or not.

Well that was fun! The only thing I didn't think should be the way it is is the portal-gun-giving field behind the exit door - it's white and textureless.

Yeah, I think the buttons might be a little buggy. Not really much I can do (the button instances are made by tuleby, not me)

If you don't have the portal gun, you're supposed to be able to walk through the fizzler :B1:

This is the first time I've come across this concept in over 900 maps – loved it. BTW: on my first attempt, I was in the entrance room, laser hitting catcher, exit open, portal gun in hand but cube not on either button! Eventually, after stepping on and off button and pressing cube dropper pedestal button a few times the portal gun eventually disappeared and I could walk through the fizzler without destroying portals! I’ve been back several times and can’t recreate this! Perhaps it’s my machine?

I'll have to decompile your map. I do not understand why the fizzler texture missing in the corridor. BTW ... very nice minimalist puzzle. :p2chell::thumbs:

quaternary: I'm glad to see another author who uses this concept and that my lot of hours of work was not unnecessary. You could still use the fixed package "clean_style", play the music after loading "savepoint". :yazdwink:

Nice map, well made and sufficiently lit. It took about ten minutes following your explanation. Odd occurance at the exit, it was all white until I passed through. Thanks for your efforts.

I concede. I apparently need portals on either side of a fizzler that cannot be deactivated, or at least not by any means that I have tried. To add to this I have a button that enables the portal gun in a room where no portalable surfaces can be accessed. I have a feeling I'm going to kick myself if and when I learn the solution.
