tbf, I haven't yet found a dice tower which will do D4s.
Lav 11 Dec, 2022 @ 4:47pm
It's beautiful and useful, but sucks at rolling d4
cagethelonewolf 25 Dec, 2020 @ 2:31am
it be cool if you added some kind of lancher, it's hard to throw the dice in such a way it spins around as it going down like thoses dontation coin banks, other than that i prefer this over many rollers that just hit the r key one time for you

Pretty great roller, but more than a couple hand fulls of dice down will get them stuck.

Weird. First time I loaded it, worked like a charm. Second time it couldn't load. Restarted my game, tried again, it definitely seems broken now.

I've tried out loading this dice roller in game, and haven't run across any issues. Please let me know if it still doesn't work

I'm sorry! Maybe something in the update messed up the file. I'll see if I can take a look at it.
IWendigo 18 May, 2019 @ 1:56pm
so when loading the mod in game the file for the model doesn't import
Visceru  [author] 12 Mar, 2019 @ 4:37am
Thank you so much for the tip, HugePinball! I'll definitely try that if I get back to it. I think I sensed there was a way to do it at the time, but was too noob to figure it out
HugePinball 11 Mar, 2019 @ 3:49pm
Cool model. FYI, you can create colliders so it doesn't have to be locked, with a compound mesh. Create a collider made up of separate non-convex mesh objects, then export as one .obj file.
Visceru  [author] 1 Mar, 2019 @ 7:29pm
Make sure you lock the object, Cosmo, then it should use the full collision that's inside it. :) Good luck!
Cosmo 1 Mar, 2019 @ 4:28pm
The dice just stay on top of an invisible floor ontop of the model.
Visceru  [author] 20 Jan, 2019 @ 12:00pm
If you save it to your saved objects collection, then you'll be able to drag it out and lock it on any game you're playing. If you can't click on it in the workshop item, unlock it first.

how do i spawn it on a board?
Francisca 11 Jan, 2019 @ 1:13pm
I hope you can find the time in the future. ^o^/ I'm excited to see more goodies like that. Best wishes from Germany! <3

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I would love to get back to TTS and model more things. I've learned so much. I just need to find the time.

Reminds me of those snake statues in "Mystic Towers". I just tried it and it looks awesome and works fine. :))
Francisca 11 Jan, 2019 @ 5:32am
It looks so cool. xD
Uncle Baby Billy 15 Nov, 2018 @ 11:31pm
Only dice tower I've tried in here that works with 10+ dice!
SaltyO 27 Jan, 2018 @ 12:44pm
No point in this comment, I just want to say that I still love you.
Go_Postal 25 Jan, 2018 @ 5:22pm
Ahh thats why it wasnt working I assumed it would work straight from loading it. I hovered pressed L and now it works. This is great! Thanks for the quick response too btw!
Visceru  [author] 25 Jan, 2018 @ 5:18pm
Hmm I just tried loading up the snake tower again, and it seems to work as well as normal. Could you maybe try checking that you have the dice tower Locked using 'L' or the right-click menu? And make sure that physics are set to 'Full' in the game options? Thanks for trying it out :)
Go_Postal 25 Jan, 2018 @ 4:13pm
Why is it none of these physics based dice rollers work anymore? Anyone know a work around?
SaltyO 27 Dec, 2017 @ 6:17pm
Scaling works suprisingly well; physics based objects like this often have issues with this. See "cube tower" attempts on workshop and see if you can solve the puzzle hehe
Visceru  [author] 26 Dec, 2017 @ 11:37am
Thank you! Feel free to use the model and scale it down using the in-game scaling tools like the Minus button, or the scale tool. Although at smaller sizes, normal size dice will likely get stuck inside.
Giganewton 25 Dec, 2017 @ 10:05pm
This is a great-looking model, but it's a little big for my screen. Well done overall.
SaltyO 13 Sep, 2017 @ 4:29am
I don't even care if it works. It's going on the table.
Coward 11 Jun, 2017 @ 12:12am
Alright. This deserves more comments than it's getting. Fan-Tas-Tic. My players are going to love this. Fantastic design. It can even roll D4s if you throw em right. Very creative, very skillfull work. I appreciate your effort.
Visceru  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 8:40am
Yes, exactly! It's more fun than 'R' to randomize, and kids sometimes have trouble shaking dice with their mouse, but the kids that use these really get a kick out of watching the dice spew from the lizard-thing's mouth every time
Baryonyx 9 Jun, 2017 @ 8:38am
I see the advantage of dice rollers in that you need less horizontal space to do a dice throw. Sure, in the game you can just press R to let the dice jump up but I always think pressing R one time doesn't quite randomise the dice enough.
Visceru  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 8:35am
No one needs them, that's absolutely true. :) For me, it's a fun way to let the physics engine in TTS show off and have some thematic decoration on the table. Everyone in my family prefers to drop the dice in than to throw the dice without because for us it adds a sense of importance or ritual to the occasion. :steamhappy:
Cryptic 9 Jun, 2017 @ 7:41am
why do people need dice rollers? to me, its a waste of space, a waste of money if you bought them, and just plain unnecessary.
Baryonyx 7 Jun, 2017 @ 8:17am
Although physically impossible, it looks nice indeed. I found it helps to prevent dice getting stuck by increasing their bounciness.
darleth 6 Jun, 2017 @ 11:58pm
nice, thanks.
