Why is everyone so obsessed with Civ V. Persia defined by red and gold borders clearly does not represent at all persian culture. Civ VI represents that culture much more realistically.

Is this mod compatible with the Improved Civ Icons mod?
Majestät 10 Dec, 2017 @ 3:00am
I've looked around in the data files and I haven't found the border in-and-out system.

It bothers me how Firaxis did it. over 200 hours and I still cannot tell the difference on who is what by border in quick hindsights. I mistake Japan and England the most.

Im not entirely sure where in the game files. But I do know that the backgrounds are actual premade images.
Majestät 9 Dec, 2017 @ 5:51pm
OK, how about the background color for loading screens in Dawn of Man? Some civs got different colors like England and Aztecs, where could I find that?
otto  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 5:48pm
It's not exactly something I can do. It's automated process tied into the game, I cannot change it.
Majestät 9 Dec, 2017 @ 5:48pm
Would it be possible to change? Where do you think the system would be located in the data files?
Majestät 9 Dec, 2017 @ 7:09am
Hey, how about making the borders original as well? The secondary colors are inwards rather than outwards.
Chloe 5 Nov, 2017 @ 4:26pm
That's very odd but good to hear it isn't a bug!
otto  [author] 3 Nov, 2017 @ 1:48pm
It's not intentional, nor unintentional. The icons in the menu are actual images and not game generated.
Chloe 2 Nov, 2017 @ 10:10am
It took me a while to realize it only changes them in-game and not in the menu. I hope that's intentional.

Updated! Added Indonesia, impoved the Poland color scheme to actually match the one in Civ V.

Hey dude, awesome graphic mod! I'm really liking the colour changes, especially with Arabia and Australia. Though I do have to inform you that the viking civ in Civ 5 was actually Denmark and not Norway as Norway is new to the series. So perhaps you could change the description for it to be based on Denmark's colour scheme? :)

Please, please keep up this great work.
Piff 20 Jun, 2017 @ 6:19am
@Dragline It's called classic borders for a reason. The whole purpose was to make the broders the color of the Civ 5 counterparts. I dont see anywhere else saying that it does anything else. So please stop being ungrateful towards someone who actually makes mods for the comunity to enjoy.

That is the whole post, to knock a simple mod???
I mean ... whoa, what a super great and cool post. You must feel very sharp and cool to adchieve that!
Huntsman 19 Jun, 2017 @ 7:46pm
@Dragline Mate, some times it is some of the simpler mods that can really improve a game. To just say. "Oh. Just THAT?!" is really sad.
otto  [author] 19 Jun, 2017 @ 6:49pm
No need to be rude, Dragline. I don't claim for it to be time consuming or complicated, because it is extremely simple, i'm not denying that. Its just here to give people alternative border colors that match previous games, don't understand the need to be hostile over that.
Dragline 18 Jun, 2017 @ 5:13am
That is the whole mod, to replace the border colors???
I mean ... whoa, what a super great and cool mod. It must have taken you months to adchieve that!
Cimrie1302 9 Jun, 2017 @ 6:53am
theres a glitch where the aztec is green and black, instead of the intended colours, apart from that, great mod
otto  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 5:19am
Eva-kun poland were darker shades of red, but the shades of red in civ vi are so similar that trying to replicate those colors were impossible, so I went with the next best thing.
Eva-kun 8 Jun, 2017 @ 11:32pm
Wasn't Poland a different color in Civ5? Besides that, everything else looks great.
Library of Alexandria 8 Jun, 2017 @ 5:29am
Could you release a direct download please?
kevinhann 7 Jun, 2017 @ 9:53pm
Thank you, Gabe. Appreciated.
otto  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 8:08pm
Also, the collection is finally published so you can find where all the individual versions are.
otto  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 8:05pm
Added Arabia.
otto  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 8:05pm
I'll try later kevinhann, but no promises.
kevinhann 7 Jun, 2017 @ 4:38pm
Could you please do preview screens with "before-after" for convenient comparison?
Hellrick 7 Jun, 2017 @ 2:49pm
very great good job
Piff 7 Jun, 2017 @ 12:59pm
Meh don't really care for cosmetic stuff like this but ok then.
otto  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 6:35am
Yup! I intend to be adding Arabia later today.
Aqualung 7 Jun, 2017 @ 6:18am
Awesome, I've been hoping someone would make a mod like this. Could you maybe make a version for Arabia as well?
