I don't think the time is enough to open all the 8 ports, at least not in the 1st try.
Thank you though, for encouraging me to check the source files for the first time to look for fstopICaRUS 22.15.293.240
Also I've found a cheat server, check it if you need. 666.666.666.666
Next I'll play hellSec
-Each time, the ending has felt urgent. You built the tension well and the time you put into testing the timers really shows.
-The stories you've crafted for your extensions are phenomenal. I was thoroughly invested each and every time. Even when something was buggy, I was happy to push through it because I wanted to know what was going to happen. Your brand of humor brings life to your NPCs, even if they are only text.
-Having played four of your extensions, I was excited to see the evolution of your development and your growth as a creator.
Thank you for the hours of fun.
But, overall, a fantastic extension!
2) You can't avoid it. It's scripted.
3) Deleting logs won't work. It's scripted.
Watch a playthrough of the extension (spiderbenb's is the only one I think) and find the ISP section to see how they managed to get through it. The main thing really is just to type faster. There's the tab button which will auto complete commands to help with that. If hundreds of people can do it, you can too.
Still excellent extension, feels like it does belong in the game, though after the end... its feels like we are not yet done.
other than the mail server which has a whitelist on it.
Maybe you will see them in another extension... hmmmmm
Otherwise, I'm grateful. This was a pleasant gameplay session with a believable story. At first I was reluctant about actually shutting the AI down, but the "malware injection" part convinced me.
And only because you provided TraceKill at the start , I will let those goshdarn 10 gazillion symbols long firewall passwords with 0-s in them slide by. Otherwise you would have had to burn in the hell you created yourself :D
@Kwiper, you should've put the last cracker not only into one of the Gauntlets, but also somewhere else. It took me a second re-read of the guide and two hopeless attempts on Core 1 to figure this out.
I did have a lot of fun though, and I thank you for making this. :)
The ending is quite the heart-pumping adventure. Rest is a bit slow, but that's expected of something developed as quickly as it was. I feel like this could be quite impressive, given a dedicated dev cycle. There are some unique plot points that can get you invested, and it's more Hacknet, so what's not to love? It also uses a couple tools you might not have gotten to use before, which is neat.
Character development really helped sell the original product, and it's a bit lacking here. There's also the needlessly long firewalls - without TraceKill, it'd be one thing, but since you have that from the start it's somewhat redundant. You can just sit there with it active forever without consequence.
All that aside, it's a fun little journey with some interesting forensics - nothing on the level of Labyrinth's, but it'll still give your noggin a good twist if you aren't prepared. Also, make sure you know terminal usage, because you WILL need it.
