Lost_Gecko you are right I did not untfy trunk and branch normals. updating fixing trunk normals for a smooth finish

I think it's not a problem of geometry but rather that smooth shading doesn't seem to be applied to the trunk (so that the shadows act like it is circular). I'm only basing this on the screenshots because I haven't tested it yet in-game. I don't know if what I'm saying is clear :D

So playing with the texture didd not work. the shading issue is because the canpy is large its shading the trunk. i will need to add more tris to remove it. let me know in the comments if you think it should be done. thnaks. might be 50 to 100 more tri

Turjjan I will be retextuing the truck so its not as noticeable. but yes most trees in CS are made with 5 sides

Love the crown of the tree. The hard edges of the very bright trunk (is it a pentagon?) make for rather hard shadows that stress the angles though.

@Lost I need to fix the texture so its more seamless :D
