I figured it out. You have to upload it from your sys directory to the upload server. Then you can reply to Ben.

Same here as for MantarTheWizard. But I'm playing on Windows.

I'm on the ransomware mission other people on here have been stuck on. I've decrypted the 3 files, removed the 2 ransomware filed from the \sys folder and uploaded those 3 .zip files to the drive along with the other files on there like the IRC logs but it still hasn't completed the mission

Also stuck on the Angelwing Database. Same result as Arbiter, whose UnivSearch.sys looks like mine.
I believe everything's right, including uppercase where warranted (i.e.: MEDICAL); I quadruple-checked every single entry versus other people's versions posted here, and I can't find any error. I uploaded it, but when I reply to Ben it just says "incomplete mission."
I am on Linux, maybe that has something to do with it?

That's nice to see the premises of Hacknet changed like that. Bonus points for not being too far from canon (essentially an AU).

Fun extension though I am unsure of one thing when you get 285.731.ERROR how you are actually supposed to get the rest of the IP without xml searching Other than that was a pretty unique and fun extension. Thank you for making it.

On the mission Client: Leo, encrypted Admin.dec gives incorrect information. It says the user is "admin" with a small "A". Using a small "A" makes logging in fail.

I enjoyed it, but the ending was abrupt. It'd be nice if you could continue the adventures of Ben and the player, fixing people's systems while getting to know how to use Hacknet proper in a sequel :)

Excellent premise and writing which raises this extension above the rest of the workshop. One of my favourites.

@(VGW)TRUKZ!LLA*BE* use the code you found after DEChead-ing the eOSAuth on the e-book (or sth) to log in into the phone. Scp all files with a .dec extension and upload them into the server. the mission should be complete.

And yes, x-server.sys is in my root directory. I've tried `upload /x-server.sys`, `upload /x-server.sys /sys/x-server.sys`, and all variations... still didn't work.

This jumpscared me at least four times, with the incoming-connection attacks plus the surprise opencdtray.

10/10 would "cd /usr/underwear > upload usr/bowels/poo.dat" again

seriously my cd tray just freak me out when it open XD ( nice way to use the internal command of hacknet ;) ) and taking control of my terminal when i want to retrieve my /sys file, it really surprise me, so yeah i love this good job man :)

@Hman745 I have the same problem here. Stuck on the database mission with the same state.

All works fine...

Didn't like it. Couldn't log into Leo's PC (second mission). I had the username and the password from the mission e-mail, but it did not give me access (i tried like 10 times) ... :(
And it's not like I'm compleatly daft. Already finished normal game + labyrinth. Which were great! :)

@Hman745 I was having the exact same problem. Try replying to ben's email about the formatting if you haven't.

I want to thank @Sout'um for his efforts in constructing what can only be described as DLC for this magnificent game. If I had money to throw at you, I would.

Cannot wait for the sequel, and I'm going to wait patiently for the next chapter of this wonder of storytelling brilliance.

Huh. Totally understand, why you got an honorable mention for the writing. Nicely done. Don't really understand the ending, but everything else is pretty good!
Though I find it a little strange that it's possible to cheat yourself through the attacks, which should delete your sys folder. Including the final one.
What happened? Badly placed Auto saves?

@Face You're supposed to delete the whitelist.

I'm having issues with the Cyber-Com mission... My best guess is to put all the IPs on the whitelist list.... but after doing that it didnt update with a mission complete... any tips?

This extension is pretty good. I haven't finished it yet, but the idea is new and it kinda reminds me of one of my old projects (That never actually worked.) 10/10

@Soup'um Yes, I'm playing on Mac OS.



When the game crashed, Mac OS simply said it quit unexpectedly. The game never generated a crash report. I think it was because of a rare timing issue. The game got a CrashComputer trigger (due to the fact that I ran out of trace), but also a HackerScript trigger from the extension at the exact same time. I think it crashed because it didn't know how to handle both a Computer Crash and a HackerScript simultaneously.


I redid that scene again, and never got a second crash.

@xMomox Can you provide a screenshot of the software ? Steam has a screenshot function, it's set to F12 by default.

@dkapeller It happened in a admittedly roundabout way, but you've technically completed the extension.

You said you think you know why it crashed, can you elaborate? Did it display a error window, or just close the game window?

By the way, are you on Linux or OSX? Remote Desktop apparently does not play well with other OSes due to architecture differences.
