Thanks for the link!

Honnestly, It that was my map, I would fix this "solution" because we just missing the fun part!

@Talisac: Oh, nice alternative solution you found there ^^ Not intended but yet interesting to find, I think I will let it in :) About the F4F tags I should remove them as I don't really have time to play Portal 2 at the moment ^^" But this tag is quite usefull when you look for quick feedback on your maps, feel free to use it too ;) Here is the thread where it was created .

First I read "Bump!", saw blue gel and 45° panels and thought: "Ok let try this..."

Then I've found an ultra easy solution without any "bump" and was quite disappointed :( Was that intended?

1) 2 portals on 45° panels (one up, one down)
2) drop a sphere into them: getting infinite vertical velocity
3) portal on floor, facing funne. Sphere just go out with 45° angle and.. that's all folk.
No blue gel, no cube, no bump!

Reading the comments, I figure it wasn't the "good solution" (which is quite original, if I've understood correctly).

(sorry for my approximative english. I'm new with F4F things, but if you can test one of mine and give a feedback, would be nice! :) )

Amazingly easy to do. Panel was perfect for orientation of object. great puzzle. Thanks.

Great puzzle in it's simplicity and complexity.

Recently, I had a very similar idea for a puzzle named "Batter, up!", but I haven't got around to creating it yet.

ooOOooh, ok, I wish I had used them for that, would have saved me a few tries. Awesome, thanks.
Geneosis  [author] 31 Mar, 2013 @ 4:43am
Angled panels were there to help people orienting the cube in the correct position X)
@Mitch McWiggins : I think you got it ^^
buff00n 30 Mar, 2013 @ 8:35pm
I managed to get some decent horizontal velocity with the sphere, but I couldn't get it going in the right direction. I had a good laugh when I finally figured it out. I can't for the life of me figure out what the angle panels are for. If it's misdirection then it's brilliant.
Mitch McWiggins 30 Mar, 2013 @ 2:32pm
Loved it. Really had to think hard at first. Just read some comments--not sure how the angled panels would work, but I think I know... anyway, I did what I think the intended solution is, right? The map's title.

Good one! Thanks.
Geneosis  [author] 28 Mar, 2013 @ 5:36pm
Added the maps to my list ^^ Maybe I will play them this weekend, and if not it will be in almost one month...
8MMW 28 Mar, 2013 @ 3:55pm
I have also added the next map .

I thought a little about this map and Ubiquity and I created a map which uses somehow similar idea . It is much more obvious than yours and the idea isn't that original (probably even used in one of many of your maps which I didn't play :), but maybe you'll be interested in it. I have also nearly prepared a next part for it.
8MMW 28 Mar, 2013 @ 2:02pm
Wow, I couldn't figure it out for a long time until I read your hints :) Before I tried many strange ways of throwing blue ball, I didn't even think of painting the cube. As for the angled panels - I actually used the gap between them and the wall to do what theye were made for :) I think puttting there only one panel would suggest somehow what it is for. Their current placement strongly suggests that they are needed for some kind of fling throw, at least for me.

Ok sure :D in that case I would like for you to try my maps Nr4 and Nr7. They are my favourites, both are medium/high difficulty puzzles. My map Nr10 is a "fun/easy puzzle" map, u might like it.
Geneosis  [author] 16 Oct, 2012 @ 2:57pm
@NiclO : Glad you played and liked a lot of my maps ^^ Feel free to propose to me some maps you made when there is #F4F in the description on my maps ;)
NiclO (- - ) 16 Oct, 2012 @ 2:38pm
A lot of fun :D
Geneosis  [author] 27 Sep, 2012 @ 4:13am
Thanks all for playing, glad you liked ^^

@atommalac : Well I use to find really strange uses for testing elements in my puzzles ^^ If you want to try more like that I suggest playing some maps in my Misc. collection ;)

@mood3rd : As said before : the pannels are here to make it easy ^^ But if you used minervx solution you may not need them.
mood3rd 26 Sep, 2012 @ 5:37pm
good map
so hard
so simple
don't understand what the panels are for ?
I have done major update on my 2nd map, please let me know what you think ?

haha. at first i almost gave up, and then almost downrated, but then i looked at some hints here and solved it. Really nice solution! I love it when people find alternate ways to use the test elements.

I solved this one following Geralf's Messenger' advice. Nice work!
mikemoody 15 Sep, 2012 @ 4:27pm
Hey nice little puzzle. Blue goo can do magic when put on a cube.
mpent 12 Sep, 2012 @ 12:21pm
Couldn't figure out what the angled panels were for. Managed to solve this without them, but it's good I know for future what they can be used for, should I ever need similar mechanics :P
? 12 Sep, 2012 @ 10:06am
angeled panels are not necessarily part of the intended solution (but can be used for it).

My solution Serve it like a volleyball
Geneosis  [author] 12 Sep, 2012 @ 2:10am
Well the angled pannel is just here to make it easier ;) Glad you found the idea anyway ^^
Stagger Lee 11 Sep, 2012 @ 6:16pm
Oh, I didn't need the angled panels, btw.
Stagger Lee 11 Sep, 2012 @ 6:15pm
Nice puzzle. I was stumped for a few minutes but then it occurred to me that even if I did manage to get a rubberized sphere to the other side, it wouldn't help me much. I'd have a different problem. So I used another approach and it worked nicely.

Looks like I'm not alone in my solution.

Great puzzle Geneosis. Challenging, but yet so simple.

Hints for players who are stuck.
1. There is no flinging, momentum or ninja tricks involved.
2. Think about which object you want to get to the other side first

The solution:
Use the blue cube to bounce the sphere into the funnel.
Geneosis  [author] 8 Sep, 2012 @ 12:53pm
Lol, will try that later X)
StayTainted™ 8 Sep, 2012 @ 10:24am

no :p
Geneosis  [author] 8 Sep, 2012 @ 8:04am
Does anyone figure out this map already?
Geneosis  [author] 5 Sep, 2012 @ 3:33pm
And about the angled pannels you should use them but not as usual... If you are really stuck read this hints :
1) Try to paint the other object and not the one you painted
2) Holding a cube oriented at 45° could be a good idea
Geneosis  [author] 5 Sep, 2012 @ 3:29pm
Map updated ^^ You can still use your solution, but you will not be able to exit if you do so ;)
StayTainted™ 5 Sep, 2012 @ 3:25pm
will you make a video about how to do it :p i want to now.
Because i did not needet the angled panels?
Geneosis  [author] 5 Sep, 2012 @ 3:22pm
Well this was not exactly the expected solution... But this is really close ^^
Will fix that anyway to avoid multiple solutions ;)
StayTainted™ 5 Sep, 2012 @ 3:19pm
Good test but I think I have not solved it as you ment. I let the ball go in momentum and then I trowd the cube against the ball :p so that the ball landed in the funnel; here you have some screenshots, I wish i knew how i could make a video, it was quite impressive what I did :p
