After finishing work on all those quest mods, I've finally started work on my bigger worlds project, as will be present within my newest collection: Epic-Sized Worlds Collection , of which this mod would be included within.

In addition to the Alternative Early-Game Quest Line for the Outpost mod that I've mentioned before, I've recently released a new mod that'll make dungeons more plentiful, yet no longer resource-intensive, for these kinds of epic-sized worlds: Village and Dungeon Biomes .

Stay tuned for more mods to come!

so i guess this also works with already existing characters just go to area that hasnt been explored

Well, I think I've finally found (or rather made) a mod that could make this mod more desirable to play:

Alternative Early-Game Quest for the Outpost , which replaces the quest to search for and repair ancient gateways on the surface of garden planets with a quest to repair the ship's long-range teleporter (which would still require core fragments), which would grant the player the ability to teleport to the Outpost using SAIL, the same way they could teleport to mission locations.

Or maybe something to vastly improve the size of existing dungeons? Meaning when you do find dungeons it can take hours to explore and they feel far more valuable and thus giving the incentive to explore massive worlds with fewer dungeons

I love this mod and like the fact that I almost never will have explored the whole surface, it makes the planet feel like well "a planet" The only thing that I don't like is how dungeons and towns have become so rare, I just want some way to slightly boost the numbers of them like instead of 2-3 larger towns (like normal) maybe just have like 6 or 7. Maybe something like that already exists and I just can't find it?

This mod is pretty sweet.
I've noticed a bug where are all planets appear larger than gas giants on the nav map, though.
Walter das Trevas 12 Feb, 2021 @ 1:05pm
Still works?
cant figure out a name 9 Dec, 2020 @ 1:04pm
it took me an hour just to get to the outpost teleporter.... I LOVE IT :steamhappy:

I walked around planets all the time. I figured I'd increase the size so it wasn't the same 2 step and planet hop it always was.

that 10x is way bigger than it sounds, I made it all the way around once and I think I may drop the size :3
Nox the Shadow Dragon 28 Oct, 2018 @ 7:25am
Only problem: is you play survival mode and die, you're royally fucked
Nox the Shadow Dragon 28 Oct, 2018 @ 7:25am
Oh honey, I love so much about this.
NoctisTheBogWitch 25 Jul, 2018 @ 7:09am
jfc thats huge
Dunker 24 Jul, 2018 @ 6:46pm
now make a mod that makes planets 100x the size lol
NoctisTheBogWitch 2 Jul, 2018 @ 11:21am
Can you make a version where the planets can be anywhere from 5x to 10x? like theres a 1/3 chance or so to be 10x, but they are normally 5x?
Double  [author] 14 Jan, 2018 @ 12:40pm
still can't figure it out
Kordharin 13 Jan, 2018 @ 6:12pm
Your welcome. Oh, and that thing with the UniNav (Universe Navigation, used to jump from Solar System to Solar System, and travel throughout.)... the planets (they appear larger than necessary), have you fixed that yet? Or is it still taking a bit to figure out?
Double  [author] 13 Jan, 2018 @ 10:07am
oh I'm totally gonna make a "realistic planet sizes mod"
Kordharin 13 Jan, 2018 @ 8:41am
Planets have a couple dungeons on them.

1 on Small and Very Small planets.

1 to 2 on Medium.

and 2-3 on Large.

It'd be neat if this author could figure that out, and I'm rooting for 'em. Take your time.

Also, I did some calculations. Without any Planet Size mods, Medium worlds are 12 7/8 miles across. I'm betting Earth is a Medium planet, so to make it more realistic, a 2k Planet Size Increase mod would probably be in order. Though... I'll just wait until you can sort some things out.

Cheers!

no idea how to do that, but might look into it in a bit
I think I know how to do it, a bit
crash fan razer63 11 Jan, 2018 @ 6:47pm
can you do a planet size mod with extra dungeons?
crash fan razer63 11 Jan, 2018 @ 6:45pm
does this add more dungeons becuse of size increase?
Kordharin 31 Dec, 2017 @ 7:46am
Thanks. I wanted to rebuild the Protectorate in a way that didn't require item-adding mods, and the planets are just too darn small. Also, have you ever tried to build a Cosmic Shipyard (where ships are built in certain... universes) in a modless Starbound?
Double  [author] 30 Dec, 2017 @ 3:20am
sure, though I think it could be a little overboard, as for me on my 100x planet size mod walking around the whole planet takes hours of dedication
Kordharin 29 Dec, 2017 @ 4:04pm
If you could find a way to fix the issue regarding the Solar Maps (planets & asteroid fields appearing WAY too big), then could you make a 1000x Planet Size mod? It'd feel a bit better for me once the planets are that massive.
Unnecessary Violence 25 Nov, 2017 @ 4:21am
Yaaaas. Thnx.
Naraksama 17 Sep, 2017 @ 11:30am
sry, it wasn't your mod...
Naraksama 17 Sep, 2017 @ 11:04am
no FU compatible

planet size mods are really simple
Double  [author] 4 Aug, 2017 @ 9:04am
I don't have the skills for the second solution, but well enough for the first one
Smash-It Steve 3 Aug, 2017 @ 9:49pm
I have a suggestion, actually. Perhaps make it so you can click and drag in the solar system map like you can with the galactic map? That way this wouldn't be an issue.
Smash-It Steve 3 Aug, 2017 @ 9:35pm
This has issues with the current map system. You can't click on the planets because you auto zoom out. I don't know what you can do to fix that, but perhaps have a mod that's only 5X bigger planets? Or making it so you can edit variables?
Double  [author] 3 Aug, 2017 @ 4:23am
Yeah, it also describes pretty much how starbound planets feel to me xD
Nice to see people notice what book it comes from though
Your Local Space Marine 2 Aug, 2017 @ 2:44pm
I like how you have a little picture from 'The Little Prince'. It's cute. c:
keylocke 26 Jul, 2017 @ 10:29pm
increasing the number of dungeons/villages proportionally to the planet size could be fun. more places to loot/explore and do quests on.
keylocke 26 Jul, 2017 @ 10:27pm
since planets are larger, will it generate more dungeons/villages?
Double  [author] 5 Jul, 2017 @ 6:08am
Soulless Jelu 4 Jul, 2017 @ 4:15pm
Hell for Terraforming =\
Jinarra 21 Jun, 2017 @ 10:23am
This mod does not work well with the current UI. You cannot see/transit to the orbiting bodies past the first one. :<
Double  [author] 16 Jun, 2017 @ 5:20pm
I made a 100 times mod (because somebody could possibly want it)
That'd be problematic with the gate
Rathlon Tobias Riverwind 16 Jun, 2017 @ 12:31pm
Though this is a good mod due to the fact it ups the sizes of all planets there is one major issue.
I've spent roughly 3 hours reaching the gate to be able to reach the outpost.
ppaladin123 13 Jun, 2017 @ 11:15am
But does the gravity increase as a result?
Mathspode (Qc) 11 Jun, 2017 @ 7:46pm
how can you see the planet size indication ? it disapeared with 1.3 :/
VinierAardvark1 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:52pm
64,000 sectors? Jeez, thats only 4,000 more than the default times 10 but still good xD
Double  [author] 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:00pm
Also, I made a mod that makes only the 6000 sectors big planets 10 times bigger, to make it more... possible... to work with servers
VinierAardvark1 11 Jun, 2017 @ 11:34am
It adds its own but I've had normal planets with a giant scale factor. Like my starting planet on my new Floran was 10,000 sectors big, and the default biggest is 6,000...
Double  [author] 11 Jun, 2017 @ 11:33am
actually FU just adds it's own, bigger planet sizes, I think... doesn't it?
VinierAardvark1 11 Jun, 2017 @ 11:31am
Well not this mod but it has huge planets
VinierAardvark1 11 Jun, 2017 @ 11:30am
FU has this built in for anyone else wondering.
Double  [author] 11 Jun, 2017 @ 11:16am
