is there a way to add dinopethicus to the list? I don't see it on the list of dinos, so i think they can spawn in? not sure.

you can't breed where they cover, or the babys are removed

So if I go in to the "allow settings" I can add creatures? This might be helpful except I am playing on Primal Fear which will cause even the most gentle of creatures to be "evil*" is there a way around this? (*Such as bunnies, equis)

it deletes from the inside, aswell as anything outside that touches
last time I used this it was perfectly functional - other than the fact other players could interact with it which is highly inconvenient caus they can just turn it off, so I had to place inside a box room and admin lock the door

If this mod is not being updated to include the DLC creatures then at least make it open source so other modders can continue the mod and even improve it.

I don't quite get it. This mod seems to be more complicated than it should be. Despawn when touching the barrier? I have alphas spawning inside my base, what if they don't touch the barrier? Why not simply STOP dinos from spawning, rather than letting them spawn and then let it to random whether they touch the barrier or not?

Hey just wanted this leave this as a note, the spawn blocker (from what ive seen) doesnt have options to turn on/off critter spawns (what i call small shoulder mounted passives). Built a base and i still wanted to see the tiny friendly spawns in it. Is this a planned feature or am i doing something wrong? thanks! =D

I think this mod should only prevent spawns from occuring in the zone. Stopping dinos or worse destroying dinos that enter is, as you said, OP.

I think the added bonus potential of being able to filter which spawns it stops could be very useful for a lot of reasons, but I think it should be an option in the .ini to allow player to do so or not as it could be very OP as well.

Also, for the breeding questions, it's not intentional for it to prevent breeding. And for some dinos it works just fine, but we have noticed and others have as well, that sometimes it despawns the baby dino before you can claim it. So for now, until we can figure out how to fully fix it, I would just stick to the safe side and either turn it off or breed outside of the barrier.

@Godith Shadowind You should be able to add the fish to your exception list in the menu and then they won't despawn. Then if any birds spawn or fly into it they should despawn. So it should keep your fish safe. Unless I am not understanding the issue?

Nice Mod and please let a option stay for dispawning wild Dinos that walk in the shield Another question is it possible to get it work with Extinction Core Dinos? My Base seems like near a Spawnpoint of Apex Raptors and they shred my Metalbase in Seconds would be nice if i could block them also.

It would be rather pointless if it ONLY despawned what directly spawned in it yet the very dinos we desire to despawn can simply walk right into the despawn field. What would be the point of that?

Unless it's only purpose will ultimately be for placing inside base walls for the few who have trouble with dinos spawing within their base perimiter?

Is there anyway that you could add like a remote for when the beacons in a hard to reach place? Or make it recognize baby dinos (ones right out of the egg un-imprinted) and not despawn them

Fate: I only WISH that worked.

As I mentioned in my first comment, we tried removing them via .ini as YES! THAT is what we wanted.

For some unfathomable reason it does not work. I can't figure it out for the life of me. I have have even moved those commands:

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Eel_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Ammonite_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")

From mid-level to top.
I have tried copy/paste and manual input.
I have checked and rechecked the codes.
I have wiped dinos 4x and wiped only those species at least 4-5 x

I'm at a loss.

The should NOT be spawing on the map.

I have numerous NPCReplacement commands in my game.ini and they work just fine, these are the only two that do not.

@photonutt wouldnt the best method of been to remove them entirely.

Also what he means is all WILD dinos get despawned the second they touch it.
Your tames are perfectly safe.

But again i'd just have edited the code for the areas to make those 2 dinos crazy rare or removed them entirely.

NOTE: Currently the beacon despawns ALL wild dinos that come in contact with the barrier, we will be updating it to allow wandering dinos and ones that have spawned elsewhere to run through the field, so you'll still want to set up walls/fences/etc. for protection from outside the barrier.

What do you mean by "wandering dinos"? You do not mean tamed dinos on wander, right?

This will never despawn a TAMED dino under and circumstances, right?

As far as allowing dinos that have spawned elsewhere to run through the field, will this be an option configuraable in the .ini? A "Dino Free" zone, or at least non-passive dino free zone.

I love the idea of picking which dinos you want despawned when coming in contact with the field -- ALWAYS -- not just when they happen to spawn in it.

If I am trying to, say, keep out eels, I want any wild eel that spawns anywhere and wanders through the field to be despawned, not only the ones who spawn directly within the field.

This mod literally saved our server. We have a strange eel/ammonite overspan that will not budge with any .ini settings (we replace, manage, or elimiate about 15+ dinos, so we know what we are doing).

We have done multiple dino or elle/ammonite wipes but they spawn back as quickly as we get rid of them --- and each wipe crashes the server because there are umpteen THOUSANDS of them at any given time.

It's CRAZY. Drops our fps to stuttering depths after a while. Then we wipe and it's good for a little while till they overpopulate again. Wipe. Crash. Reboot. Play. Wipe. Crash. Reboot. Play.

I just installed about 25 of these yesterday and it has created an amazing work around for this unsolvable problem.

dunno if its been reported or not but i just lost a 255 fertile fire wyvern egg because the barrier despawned it, can you fix so the eggs themselves don't get despawned? it was pretty upsetting

@OmniSpecter Yeah that's not a bad idea, we may look into that a little further down the road.
@FuffyFan Thanks for the heads up! I've been able to recreate that happening for the raft as well, for some reason they are being classified in the same category as dinos, until placed. We'll get a fix for that in the next release.

The spawnblocker prevents the motorboat placement, you "consume" the boat, yet it disappears. Placing it outside the blocked area I can then safely drive it inside the area without issues though.

Annanuki does add new dinos, most are based off the vanilla counterpart, but there are a handful that are completely new to the game also. While i'm sure it would be a ton of work, it may be a good idae to work with the authors of annanuki genesis and make it fully compatible with your mod, as that's the highest rated and subscribed mod for ark, so many..many people use it

@OmniSpecter I'm actually not sure which custom dino mods, if any, will work with this one. Depending on how the custom dino mod is set up, if the new creatures inherit from the same "blueprint" type that the original creatures do, then I would think it should work, but if Annanuki was created completely from the ground up then it probably won't.

Does this mod conflict with Annanuki Genesis at all? or perhaps allow baby dinos to spawn inside the barrier? I have my base walled off completely, with these spawn blockers inside it, however i notice that baby/juvenile/adolescent dinos still spawn anyways, both herbivore and carnivore.

I do have Annanuki Genesis installed among other mods, but that's the only one I have that adds/alters dinos at all.

@Bakora I'm not sure about the bats and spiders but I have seen something similar, generally with larger creatures though. It's based on collision with the beacon area and I think sometimes it doesn't detect it and fire right away. From what I've seen they should always get removed before they can move or attack anything, if you see otherwise though let me know. And you got it, if the name bar is red, those will be the ones it blocks, and any that are green are allowed to spawn. We've noticed that they have been changing the in game names slightly for some creatures though (i.e. Carno show as Carnotaurus now), we tried to make sure they all match up to what is used currently but if any aren't working correctly just let me know and I'll update the listing. What ive noticed is the onyx bats and the spiders in ragnarok castle seem to spawn regardless of this spawner however they DO despawn as i get close enough to agro them, Is this as intended or
is this the bug where wild dinos despawn and the mod isnt affecting Onyx and spiders???
seems to be one of the more useful addons ive seen so far in theory
also the dinos name is meant to be red in the settings to actively work on them right? or have i done that wrong? :steamfacepalm:

Would like to see the range andjustable in foundation saize instead of 3 preset ranges. Also a more ark like interface. Other than that great mod.
