Adding sound is an interesting thought, but I'm not sure what sound I would add. If I added a generic soundscape of ocean sounds, it would create a visual and auditory disparity where the sound of the wave would crest and crash, but the visuals are stuck in time, never reaching the completion that you're hearing. Conversely, repeating the sound of a wave cresting would just be white noise, and hardly enjoyable.

A different option would be to add the song 'Wipe Out' by The Surfaris, as it fits thematically with the visual and overlooks the problem of trying to match sound effects to a perpetually repeating image. But even ignoring the copywrite issues that would present, I would have to cope with the immense psychological burden of the thousands of suicides that would follow the song's addition, as users are forced to listen to that horrible song over and over again on their desktops.

As it stands, I see no clear audio solution.
