"hawkeye, care to explain how we ended up on an airship?"
stuChris  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 4:10pm
not the helicopter stated in the planned features, which would be the only vehicle, other than potentially a jeep, which also isnt currently possible
CanMann 5 Nov, 2017 @ 5:33am
not posible to add a plane
stuChris  [author] 15 Oct, 2017 @ 11:51am
i have been told it is not possible, sorry.
CanMann 15 Oct, 2017 @ 8:40am

stuChris  [author] 9 Jul, 2017 @ 7:37pm
well, thats kind of the point of the mod, so that this ISNT the vanilla game, but this is what i desired to make, mostly inspired by my favorite TV show M*A*S*H

and also, i cannot change the speed of it, or at least i do not know how to script that
Exceptional 9 Jul, 2017 @ 6:04pm
Hum.Are you sure the game is not to fast paced for your planned feature? It's already to fast paced for the repair workshop/sickbay to do anything, even on the tankiest ship..
How about a buffed,faster repair workshop/sickbay?
stuChris  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 5:32pm
its true though! at mash units they would often be left with the only choice to eat surplus food from world war 2! it was crazy!
Oiadine 22 Jun, 2017 @ 5:31pm
XD.
stuChris  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 5:09pm
well, the only mashed potatos you would find in a mash are leftovers from WW2 xD
Oiadine 22 Jun, 2017 @ 5:00pm
Well it sounds like MASHed potatos. XD.
stuChris  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 4:55pm
thats not actually why it is called this, it is based off of a real concept and experiment that the United states used during the korean war (wikipedia link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_army_surgical_hospital_(US) )
Oiadine 22 Jun, 2017 @ 4:17pm
MASHed potatos. XD.
stuChris  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 12:03pm
i dont quite understand, but...okay? thanks? xD
Natt4 22 Jun, 2017 @ 11:37am
Nothing to say but Nice
stuChris  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 9:14am
hmmm, maybe. ill think about how ill go about it
Xam Huad 17 Jun, 2017 @ 9:11am
Yes, but like I noted earlier, the scope of the m.a.s.h unit you're describing
is not addressing the perspective of the building.

Example: one doesn't attach a blackhawk helipad to a tiny fishing boat.
Or have a recipe for soup for 12 people when your household is only 2.

You want to scope down to have the parameters suit the environment.
stuChris  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 9:00am
actually, it can take several hours to work on many patients wounded in battle, only the patients with small damage take a few minutes (and even then, in the korean war Battalion aid stations took care of that, for the most part)

i am also basing the crew count for the mash on realistic numbers, a mash can have several surgeons working at once, and many nurses there helping them (figuratively, a mash unit can pump out around a thousand healed wounded over a months time, and even more during an attack)
Xam Huad 17 Jun, 2017 @ 8:44am
True, but you have to realize a building doesn't have 1K+ soldiers.
Then, not every hurt soldier requires (extensive) surgery.
Moreover, soldiers that did undergo surgery aren't immediately sent back.
Plus, 1 m.a.s.h-surgeon can effectively perform on several soldiers per hour.
Simple stitches & bandages are applied by the nurses,
just the indoor stitching and fragment removal is done by surgeons.

Well, you could increase work efficiency to 2 surgeons
and 4 OR nurses +1 per 15 to 5 for the hurt in the yard.

As for the maintenance, nobody will use it at this rate.
Better to build more shooting units than 1 leviathan that will still eventually die.
stuChris  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 8:07am
well, there are 4 surgical beds, fit for at minimum 4 surgeons, so as to get as many patients back to the battlefront as possible (which was the point of the REAL mash units)
the nurses do several duties, help the surgeons, move different types of blood, move patients in and out, take care of patients in the pre-operation room and post-operation room, which is why there are so many
the supply and maintenance are as they are so that the mod is balanced with the game, otherwise users could just spam these all over and never lose. also, it wont be a plane, as they did not use planes, they used Bell H-13 Helicopters :P
Xam Huad 17 Jun, 2017 @ 3:53am
Would make a nice addition to a large defensive building.

15 min 20 recommended is a bit much imo.
1 surgeon and 3-5 nurses (2 nurses in the OR, 1 per 15 to 5 hurt in the yard) should do it.
That's 4 min 6 recommended.
Then higher supply (12?) (medicine etc), lower maintenance (12?) (a broom and boiled water).

For a plane, maybe a kitchen to nurture hurt crew back to health. :HappyMask:
stuChris  [author] 15 Jun, 2017 @ 9:11pm
yeah, ill have to ask Zark if its even possible, but its a dream, at least
SoCaliber 15 Jun, 2017 @ 8:10pm
As of now you cant assign specific units to a specific module. And you can't transfer wounded between vehicles or building. But you can make troops that look like doctors and nurses.
stuChris  [author] 15 Jun, 2017 @ 7:50pm
yeah, i have no idea how i will implement them, but its a learning process! im glad i can replicate something that has been largely lost to american/korean history :)
SoCaliber 15 Jun, 2017 @ 7:46pm
Turned out great! Though those are some ambitious plans you got there
stuChris  [author] 15 Jun, 2017 @ 7:28pm
and great things, i will hopefully bring! the mod is, of course, still in brand new stages of development, however :P
chaosbread 15 Jun, 2017 @ 6:46pm
i expect great things stuChris
