I really enjoyed this chamber. Quite an interesting switch? Though the second room was quite bananas. Took me a few tries to realize what I was supposed to do.

that was fun, interesting what a little change can do

I'd recommend putting the pressure button in the open in the last test into an inset so that it doesn't block the laser. I'd also recommend moving the button for the timer in the last test further back so you actually have room to aim the laser.

Also, imho making the dark textures portalable and the white textures non-portalable is dumb and pointlessly confusing.

Very creative, if a bit unorthodox! A couple of tricky jumps, but clever portal logic. I don't know about the music after the first chamber as it was so repetitive that I shut it off! Great work though! Thanks!

Didn't see any Easter Egg but this was one interesting map. The puzzle in the first room drove me crazy even after I figured out the portal situation. The second room was quite easy while the timed manipulations in the third room were quite frustrating. All in all an unusual map that more than deserves a thumbs-up or two. Oddly, I didn't even notice the music everyone mentioned. Maybe I ought to turn up the volume.

The portal and not portal surfaces threw me for a second. That's a way to throw the player off if they are so very accustomed to it being the other way around. It's OK but it really threw me off. The music was great. It's like a kid-friendly play-place feel overall. The puzzles were a ittle on the easy side because I've seen things like it before.

10/10 for audio + 10/10 for visuals + 10/10 for puzzle (this is hard). Subbed + faved. Must play! Outstanding creation.

Just played this map again, wondering why it isn't up there with that "Designed for danger" garbage. Still innovative as ever!

When I initially played this map, I wondered if there was some way to get trapped. Lo and behold I found a way: between doorways! I recommend three things to fix this. Either:

1) Use non-portalable surfaces everywhere in the transition hallways,
2) Use fizzlers on both ends (instead of just one) of the hallways, very close to the doorways, or
3) Reset the doorways and the world portal when the test subject tries to re-open the exit doorway.

Wow, I don't know how you did it, but the audio was amazing! I've always wanted that feature: as you pass each room the music changes according to the tempo you set. Loved the laser changing music is if your life depended on it, and it made me mess up too! :D

Let's not forget to mention the asthetics of the entire chamber, which was a welcome change to the usual. Excellent Job, square 0 square square square square square square square square square square person! ;P

Hey P2 nice map. A little tricky but very doable, must know how to make portal jumps real good. I mean like jump from high portal and shoot 2 portals real fast into floor to get up to the balls. I liked, so Thumbs up.

Took me a week but finally got there!
evan online 2 Oct, 2012 @ 12:40am
Wow, this was pretty fun to play. The beginning part is what had me stumped most, funny enough. But I liked it a lot!
Wolf bytes 30 Sep, 2012 @ 11:13am
Excellent job! This wasn't straight forward and a little hard/tricky.
But not so much so that it was discuraging. Nice!
Continue testing. ~GLaDOS

Indeed a most unusual testing experience. Proud to partcipate in your Aperture Science Enrichment Center activity. It seems like some of the indicator strips were malfunctioning though.

very nice. let's see what else you got here :)
Anachronistic ALLOS 25 Sep, 2012 @ 10:27pm
Man,the music when the last laser is active,it's just so...heroic! Like you're in the spectacular penultimate part of the test!
Dot Operator  [author] 15 Sep, 2012 @ 9:14pm
@James Eddings: Thanks! As the map's musician, I want to be able to use scripting instead of map logic that would allow me to do that in a future version.
Carnhulio 15 Sep, 2012 @ 11:35am
awesome
Jules 15 Sep, 2012 @ 10:04am
...Well, hasn't really talked about the music. "Cool music" or "It's bad" isn't necessarily critique.
Jules 15 Sep, 2012 @ 9:56am
It's very interesting that no one said anything about the MUSIC in this map. You really caught a feel for anticipation at the end, I'd say. Once I heard that harmony over and over again, I knew the chamber was going to end. I felt it. It was almost like the entire puzzle was in climax. It drove my mind crazy each time I failed to finish it in time, but once I did, I felt sated. I just wished that harmony flourished throughout the end after I go through the threshold into a more powerful ending.
tman507se 14 Sep, 2012 @ 10:40pm
Very interesting level. Had me stumped quite a few times. Kind of strange with the reversed portal surface colors, though. I liked the music too. Good job.
Jebediah Clang 14 Sep, 2012 @ 5:15pm
A bit non-standard... but i liked it :)

commander2005 14 Sep, 2012 @ 9:20am
nice to play, cool music (actually you have to load save point music starts again!) and very attractive design.... I have two questions: Is this the end? I got to the exit, but there is no way out: see picture: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=95998304
Timer in the 3rd chamber: Perhaps 1 second longer :) thx
Brad 14 Sep, 2012 @ 5:36am
Loved the music and the textures. Thanks man! I didnt finish it because i managed to get portalled in the air lock between puzzle chamber "2" and "3" walked out of the airlock step back into it through the portal and was stuck there :(
I Kinda Fail 13 Sep, 2012 @ 10:58pm
Very... interesting. It made me think, but not in that "WTF DO I DO?!" kind of way... More of the "So I need to get that, so I... need to... do that..." kind of way. :P I liked the retro music.
Warbear 13 Sep, 2012 @ 6:43pm
Too difficult, got stuck between doors.
Amaroq Leareth 13 Sep, 2012 @ 2:14pm
This is a great map, but I find the inability to shoot portals on White surfaces and the ability to shoot portals on grey surfaces... confusing.
zazaza 13 Sep, 2012 @ 10:54am
also, bananas :)

Could not get to cube in second part of map. Either something missing or broken.
