Any news when this will be updated?
Also any webs which are outdoors should have a short lifespan verses webs inside a cavern or indoors due to weather and the elements.

Arachnophobia is definitely not working correctly on 1.1. It throws constant errors. It needs to be updated, but it might be playable for you. Consider becoming a Patron!

I think my second planet will be with out spiders too. That is too bad, but my crew and spaceship ll be ready for landing on the planet of spiders not very soon after the explosion of a nuclear reactor and fuel tanks...

This mod has most certainly left quite the impression on me. Back in my 1.0 game I stapled them into the Drow faction as fellow combat units. First rough raid on day 2 had me saying aloud, "Those are some weird looking elves Randy." Ended up being overwhelmed by the horde of tiny spiders who then carried my lone pawn off the map. Wasn't even mad as I was too busy laughing. One dropped my pawn midway to spin a little web and another spider swooped in to pick up the slack.

Jecrell's currently updating their Call of Cthulhu mods, so this one should be updated sometime soon, hopefully.

@Target You actually can harvest Spider Webs if you draft a colonist and melee attack them, same story with empty cocoons IIRC. It's a bit cumbersome, but then again spider silk is very good so it's worth it. If the harvesting of them was made easier one day I wouldn't be mad, but it's prolly pretty balanced atm.

Maybe if they dropped a reduced amount of silk when they expired would be a good balance for a lower amount but with less maintenance so people could choose whether they wanted more maintenance of higher returns. Trying to recall if that already happens but it's been awhile since I actively silk farmed.

Not here to pester for updates. Just here to say I love the mod and your stuff in general. Most of them I only enable for specific themed runs (especially the Cosmic Horrors, obviously), but this one's a staple I always run with.

My question is this... would there be a patched version of this that allows for versions of spiders that will always cocoon live prey rather than killing it's victims, to feed later on? This sort of matter gives you a chance to rescue and capture prisoners from raids rather than have outright kills. It may also be possible with such that a spider may see a sick or injured member of your colony and cocoon them to make them rest and recover (and feed on them if it turns out they die).

Just food for thought.
