Sorry for the radio silence, by the way. I don't like to comment on things when I'm working on stuff in the background, I feel like it sets up unreasonable expectations.
This mod is in a state of limbo at the moment, because I keep wanting to make some kind of come-back and put out this huge update that adds a bunch of stuff like furniture and NPCs - stuff that is actually already done and just needs to be spawnable - but I managed to do something really dumb and stop myself in the middle of an important step that needs to be taken care of.
I'm working on re-doing the ship, as I've gotten a bit better at art over the years and I feel like I can do better. The problem with that is, if I put out smaller updates to fix some things and add small things like furniture pieces or whatever, and then I update the ship, that's going to mess up everyone's save since the layout is different. If I wait to get the ship done, you guys wait. It's the main thing holding the next update back; that and I kind of lost the heart to mod Starbound for a while due to bullshit with FU trying to bully me and some acquaintances a while back.
There's also something happening to the merchant...?
Ius?" if these guys are Roman-esc, as they seem to be.
Best Description for a bug ever.
In regards to the bugs with NPCs despawning, I'm aware of the issues and I'm reasonably sure I know what the problem is. Instead of crashing your game like when there's an issue with item or quest code, Starbound just kills NPCs so you can keep playing. I believe there's problems with dialogue, specifically defensive/running away dialogue, and I've recruited some friends to help me jump in and sort this out.
I've also been spending time with Tiled and I hope to have some small stuff out soon so I can go ahead and push a bug-fix for the dialogue isses.
Thanks for being patient!
getting that alot in the server logs, also Fenerox and several other NPCs die when you talk to them regardless of your own race.
Bugfixes are important, don't hold off on releasing fixes just because its a minor change :(
