This is the old Radical SR3 RSX from 2017. S397 and Radical already released the newer SR3 XX a few years ago with updated everything.

Radical should force S397 to update the audio of its cars. This one sucks, it's one of the worst car sound ever. If I was the developer who did this, I would be ashamed of myself. It's embarassing.:steamthumbsdown::steamthumbsdown:

FFB is awful, this car is no joy to drive:crying_yeti:
g.astori 3 Apr, 2024 @ 10:18am
I've started to drive the SR3 just recently. 2 times so far and during both times the car stopped in the middle of the training session but I have not got any physical damage. Fuel was 7 liters at least the last time. What can it be?
[FR] RapApaR 13 Feb, 2024 @ 4:21pm
I cannot stop smiling too
Rail720 16 Dec, 2023 @ 9:27am
It's like driving only on rumble strips for the entire width of the track. I now have numb hands, thanks.
caiopolus 26 Aug, 2023 @ 1:10pm
Great car but the sound kills me from inside.
Cyclewolf2 17 Jul, 2023 @ 1:25pm
This car is made for the Targa Florio 1967 Track BUT, why isnt there a handbrake? I can see it next to me in VR but unfotunately it doesn't work. Please add the Handbrake to this car to use it on a Course that's build for it!
acincheyenne 11 Dec, 2022 @ 4:22pm
Does anyone have the template?

Studio397 please fix this and paid SR3XX, both have horrible ffb, awful sound......... Please.
Du-Blow 10 Feb, 2022 @ 8:09pm
Love the car, hate the engine sound. Sad that even the RADICAL SR3 XX in the shop has the same sound, otherwise i would purchase it...

I race these and won the champ in '16 so know the car pretty well, this is a good model for practice and is a good way to engage the brain before a test or race weekend. I don't get time to use this very much but its easy to jump into and just do a few laps. It really needs some adjusting to make it closer to my own setup, but I probably wont ever get around to that and it doesn't hurt the experience. I always use it on my Oculus and cant complain at all. I haven't noticed any glaring issues, it just seems to work well and I'd recommend giving it a try.

@shaundoddmusic
A driver who races it, said the physics are pretty accurate:

Very poor. Example of a neglected and unfinished car. Sound is appalling and there is something catastophically wrong with the physics which makes the steering wheel jerky - 8-bit steering? A shame because they have done all this work and it is so close to being finished but there are these two stand-out problems which make it a disaster. Please update this thing!!!
akramura5 19 Aug, 2019 @ 8:53am
FFB is bad,an impression of rolling with stone tires, instead of selling dlc, should already improve the cars that already exists!!!!
Harolf 16 Sep, 2018 @ 5:11am
Hopefully we get the SR-1 too :)
Hot Doge 9 Jul, 2018 @ 6:04pm
I can't download this. rFactor sync seems to be ignoring this vehicle, I tried restarting and sub and unsubbing. Anyone know a fix for this? Would really appreciate it:steamfacepalm:
Spectator6 2 Feb, 2018 @ 10:53am
Now it is correctly listed in game as 2.0 and I can drive the latest version of the car
Spectator6 2 Feb, 2018 @ 10:52am
I eventually corrected the issue by going into the below directory and deleting the 1.0 version of the car

F:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles
buddyspike 2 Feb, 2018 @ 8:45am
It's weird in Change notes the last version is 1.96 and has the same description as previous one ("Added newest CPM. Corrected lateral CG (center of gravity").
Something is not right
KalElRedK 1 Feb, 2018 @ 8:00am
No, it's version 2.00 now.
Spectator6 30 Jan, 2018 @ 8:13pm
When initially launching rF2, the launcher also indicated an update was installed when it was syncing the files with the Workshop...
Spectator6 30 Jan, 2018 @ 8:12pm
Weird... According to Steam the car downloaded an update, but when selecting the car ingame it still says it's verion 1.00. I tried unsubbing and resubbing but still the same result. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
buddyspike 16 Jan, 2018 @ 2:28pm
>. It's generally not just a case of recomputing the tyres, as other parameters have to be tuned as well
So for modders it's not as simple as setting CalcPointAccel=1.0 and running tTool after all. Additional tuning has to be done at least for some cars? As I understand, if it was so simple then all Studio 397 cars would already use new QSA model.
buddyspike 16 Jan, 2018 @ 3:07am
I will continue my "testing" but sure it doesn't slide and doesn't oversteer at high speeds. I think it's one of the easiest to handle. I also tested Honda Civic BTCC but there's something wrong with it's FFB.
buddyspike 15 Jan, 2018 @ 3:31pm
Thanks! So far I didn't see much difference, the car already had a lot of grip and was quite forgiving at pretty much any speed. Perhaps the new QSA model doesn't have such significant impact on handling as I thought.
Michael Borda 15 Jan, 2018 @ 1:50pm
You guys are correct, and there is no co-incidence, indeed :)
Hope you enjoy the updated car. (the lateral CG fix is just for the left hand drive). The GT500 has a different construction and older spec tyre compared to the other GT's. It's generally not just a case of recomputing the tyres, as other parameters have to be tuned as well.
buddyspike 15 Jan, 2018 @ 1:14pm
I just saw Radical (and i.e. Nissan GT500) has been updated today with changelog:
"Added newest CPM. Corrected lateral CG (center of gravity)"
So it seems the fix has just been released(coincidence? :)) Assuming CPM stands for Contact Patch Model then it would suggest Radical is already using point based acceleration update.
LokiD1978 15 Jan, 2018 @ 1:11pm
sr3 has just been updated with new cpm? with new rf2 update!
buddyspike 15 Jan, 2018 @ 12:47pm
@michael borda
OK Thanks. Yeah It's better to test the fix using real telemetry data etc. Worst case scenario would be if the "fix" breaks something else in existing cars, that handled perfectly fine before. Anyway, as I understand modders may already use CalcPointAccel=1.0 (or 0.5 if suitable) to enable new QSA model, or is it not stable yet?

> Formula E, GT3 pack
OK, so right now only recent DLCs have the fix. Any ETA for other cars?
LokiD1978 14 Jan, 2018 @ 12:05pm
@michael borda

thx micheal for clearing this up ive asked on bothe discord and the forum. im glad ive now got the answer!

also will the ai" too great top speed" issue be fixed? sry
Michael Borda 13 Jan, 2018 @ 5:55pm
@opteron apologies for that. Bit of a mix up, we have this done internally, we just need to get this properly tested and released publicly.
So far then, it would just appear to the the Formula E, GT3 pack (McLaren, Callaway, Radical RXC, Mercedes-AMG, Bentley) and Honda Civic BTCC.
buddyspike 13 Jan, 2018 @ 6:46am
@michael broda
Thanks, I was expecting the model has the QSA fix, but I see the car was last updated 1 July. As I understand the feature is supported only in latest builds.
Anyway do you know which cars are updated to support the new QSA model?
Michael Borda 12 Jan, 2018 @ 9:52pm
This car does have the QSA update.
buddyspike 12 Jan, 2018 @ 2:38pm
Is this car already using point based accelerations in QSA tire model:
https://www.studio-397.com/2017/12/6512/
? How about other ISI cars?
Marcus Kruger 10 Dec, 2017 @ 12:35pm
I LOVE IT !!! :steamhappy:
GTRLIVE 29 Nov, 2017 @ 7:03am
Many of us are very fond of the RF2 platform and have already bought GT3 packages to feel the high quality! Thank you very much for my commitment to the development of formula racing car, and I particularly support the F1 fans as F1 fans!
But I prefer the F1 equation more. Will the F1 car be produced in the future? When will the new UI and weather system come? RF2's future is worth looking forward to, come on, thank you!
Kollo 12 Aug, 2017 @ 4:31am
Fun to drive but maybe no fun to race against AI. I don't know why AI is so fast on straights. I don't want to try for hours what setup could be as fast as AI. Frustrating...
Dirty_Harry 22 Jul, 2017 @ 3:35pm
"Yes ! Ok. I got it ! You are right" : This car is great for any track. Awesome !!!
Skull28 14 Jul, 2017 @ 4:11pm
Can you make a electric version of this?
Alex 5 Jul, 2017 @ 7:40am
No but there is a rough problem with FFB, but they are working on an update now. To me it feels good on 6 smooth, but when lowering smooth its very rough and many drive without smooth at all which works on the other cars.
imp 5 Jul, 2017 @ 5:32am
use 56 car specific .smoothing 20 and lower pump to suit what you like . i find this feels ok with my ffb i use a very low pump like 5.5% i dont like heavy ffb and white finger lol
Alex 4 Jul, 2017 @ 1:07pm
I lowered FFB smooth a little and yes i feel the rugged FFB too. I was on smooth 6 so it felt good, but lower it a little and its very brutal. However im afraid the super tight, no FFB deadzone will disappear with FFB fix. Hope not.
north_ranger 4 Jul, 2017 @ 2:25am
We cannot feel so satisfied after DRM in rfactor. BTW we need wet tyre.
Donnie 3 Jul, 2017 @ 3:27am
Just had an online race last night, with 33 drivers ... That was awesome \o/
Perfect car for close action !!!
Thank you S397 :)
Geoff Baker 2 Jul, 2017 @ 11:16pm
I can't drive this for more than 30 seconds without rF2 crashing.
oliver.johann 2 Jul, 2017 @ 2:11pm
Has potential, but the FFB feels horrible, unlike any other car. A bit dissapointing after the magnificent USF2000
Alex 2 Jul, 2017 @ 11:37am
FFB feels AWESOME! Dont mess with it.
Nick Winkler 2 Jul, 2017 @ 1:08am
Studo 397 Rocks! Thank you.
