whenever i dig any of the trenches it forces me to build it right under me and if i cancel it to continue digging behind the trench it wont give me any option so im forced to be out in the open is there any way to make it dig infront of me?

For people having an issue with the overlapping of their names just switch your Ace Interaction to display it as a list.

I'm finding it difficult to identify the different trenches as all the ace trenches and enhanced trenches are clustered together and overlap the names. is there a way I can put the enhanced trenches into a separate radial menu?

So I did some more testing and found out that if you look straight ahead and select the foxhole, you can place it just fine, but if you look down you can't.

@Jaiden If its directly under you, your player collision is likely canceling it.

I've been testing the mod, and an issue I'm coming across is that whenever I try to place a foxhole using ACE Interaction, it'll place it directly beneath my feet, and then de-select it. I assume what is happening is ACE detects the 'ghost' object as invalid terrain and cancels the digging.

@Lance Link @MylittleNyx if these are the enterable bunkers, this is expected.
These are technically "vehicles" and arma does not like them under the map.

Most of them float when placing. Once you start building they are on the ground but they are above my head blocking most vision when trying to place.

Listen Mr. Kitten, My unit went through a fantastic defence operation using these trenches and it was bloody awesome! Thank you for creating this mod because default Ace Trenches just would not have cut it otherwise. Thank you from the 82nd Krieg Hellfighters!

@Dalrona There was, but since the ACE update it kinda broke it.
Havent figured out how to inherit ACEs changes to that.

@ Dont apologize for bug reports, its fine. I believe the UI issue is due to having your ACE set to a circle and not a list, this is changable in the addon options for ACE. This is however a workaround, the issue is ultimtely how many items are on the list and how long the names are.
I plan on making a separate tool but im having a hard time getting it to work.

Are you using the latest version of ACE or an older one?

Alright I apologize for bombarding you with bugs but when building the trenches auto cancel when you walk over another trench, and when building the foxhole, it auto cancels when moving your mouse. Again I apologize.

I was able to replicate both issues using only those three mods. Like in the screenshot below, (hopefully it works) the bunker and foxhole "preview" is above me, when I start building I get hurt and when its finished the foxhole/bunker is right behind me. As for the UI issue its quite obvious.

Hey I keep getting hurt when I build the bunker/nest and in the ace equipment menu the buttons overlap so you cant read them

@Avilash A plausible thing I will look into is adding a new "Heavy Entrenchment" tool.
This way you can restrict kit.

@Avilash Not gonna lie...thats pretty funny XD. So thats controlled via the entrenchment tool.
Easiest way is to just tell them to have some self control.

The more complicated method would be to create a patch that removes the following entries.

ace_trenches_digMiddleTrench
ace_trenches_digMiddleTrench_Half

Hi @Infallible Kitten , is there a way to disable placing down of trenches and foxholes with ace interact from configs? i cant find a way. its making people make literal maginot lines with concrete bunkers in the middle of a firefight xD

@facundoalvarez73 Is this from an existing mission? I cleaned up the configs and file structure. The object exists, but the cfgpatch is no longer present.

Just create another blank mission > File > Merge your old mission.
Save the mission.

All objects will be present, again only a cfgpatch has been changed as it isnt used anymore.
