You can easily damage a filter and cause leaks, why else do you think people fill up their MIXA1 canisters with wood chips and glue? The thing has asbestos, and those old British canisters (Mk VI or something) have two ripe layers of blue asbestos.

So, no. It's best to take extra precautions as to ensure your health.

@king_creepalot the only way you could get contaminated is by drilling holes into the layers with them or ripping the whole fucking thing apart

A Polish lab did studies and did find asbestos in GP-5 filter canisters, this has been proven.

Asbestos doesn't cause hallucinations, nor was it proven they could be breathed in using GP-5 filters. Asbestos was used in the paint, but I can't imagine breathing the contents of GP-5 filter is too healthy for you regardless.
The SCP itself is anomalous, like he said, but it doesn't teleport you to Russia. It just does spooky shit that we can't understand. I love rebutting to posts that are months old, yknow?

@Josef, actually, GP-5 is actually anomalous. It teleports you to russia, that's mostly all. Asbestos is not hallucinogenic.
