To be fair, this is more of a comp-stomp map than a competitive one. It also gets much harder when the difficulty is high enough for the AI to start cheating with its resources.

Probably easiest to defend as Germans/USA. Panzer Elite struggles due to a lack of proper infantry MGs and mortars, combined with the fact that they're a smidge more fuel-hungry on average. British is probably the most gimped when it comes to defending because emplacements don't play nice with cramped spaces.

It's good, but totally in favor of the axis:
Starting as allies you have to walk a lot until you get to the resources on the beach, while the axis can quickly secure their resources, ramps and even the ammo points of the beach.

Allied bases are grouped together so they can be bombarded by nebs and off-map artillery and if they get attacked it's very difficult to keep the production, meanwhile the axis bases are split up so arty can only hit one at a time and if one gets focused the rest can keep the production.

There's invisible heavy cover in the beach. If germanw get across the ramps they're quite basically unstoppable. The allies are uncovered after the ramps excluding the trenches.

Allied AI will always get stuck in the left ramp.

Just an idea of how easy this map is for axis, all my games have been 4v4 with AIs:
US: 75-120 minutes.
British: 40-90 minutes.
Wehrmacht: 20-50 minutes.
Panzer Elite: 25-50 minutes.

Awesome map but these little things make you get tired.
wolfsnase 20 Jun, 2020 @ 1:10pm
Cool map. The AI is pretty aggressive here.
Age 9 Aug, 2019 @ 5:37pm
AI is fucking retarded on this map, US side cant do a damn push without blocking one path while the other ramp gets flooded by germans, great job

Good map.
Enrico 10 Mar, 2018 @ 3:26am
if you go americans and go aribone. Build Mortar and then wait for supply drop at the end of the line you get much fuel and ammunition best tactic for me. And Germans can go Blitzkrieg also strong on this map!
Garlic & Herb Tuna 22 Feb, 2018 @ 12:02pm
It's an great map, but it seems like the two slopes going up turn into murder zones when playing against the Panzer Elite; Their scout cars can murder most infantry before you start to upgrade to sticky bombs, thus your only chance of success is a ranger/airborne group or MG team if your American while the Vickers upgrade on your Bren Carrier is your only true option as a British player.

It's honestly kind of strange seeing the Germans just charging the Allied beachhead with nothing but Scwhimmwagens and Panzer Grenadiers.
roguecpl 13 Jan, 2018 @ 7:17pm
I enjoy the map, as mentioned before, more fuel points needed.
Josua 9 Jan, 2018 @ 12:27pm
nice idea but the map is pretty bugged since mg-teams on beach have higher supressive value to units in the cover near bunkers. also mg teams in the added bunkers tend to have not such a high range to supress than mounted mgs on the beach. tried it with only infantry.
ReichVictor 17 Dec, 2017 @ 7:36am
how did you remove the water? and how did you open the campaign map?

LordMonty666 14 Jul, 2017 @ 8:26am
*Largest invasion by sea. The largest invasion was Operaion Barbarossa.
Fierce1 2 Jul, 2017 @ 3:47pm
I have only 2 complaints... First is that the fuel amount is so tiny that no matter which side you're on it takes forever just to get anything built or upgraded. (Yea, I realize historically fuel was kinda problematic that day, but then again there WERE tanks that landed during the invasion).
The other problem is the 2 paths leading up the ridge. The British have a nasty habit of setting their buildings up RIGHT in the middle of it so neither side can move up or down. Other than those 2 things, this map is really epic to battle on! Great Work!
Captkirk 2 Jul, 2017 @ 3:39pm
i think pacific landing was much larger.
Lavrentiy Beria 2 Jul, 2017 @ 10:01am
Invaders should get a manpower bonus for this, otherwise it's stupidily unbalanced.

love it
ParkTheBus 28 Jun, 2017 @ 11:46am
while the history mentioned in the description might be wrong, idc, just want the allies to have a manpower bonus. Maps like these with assault/defense positions are much needed. Thanks for the map!
VVP 28 Jun, 2017 @ 11:02am
cool
Sour Patch Kids Cereal 28 Jun, 2017 @ 10:03am
I agree with finus, manpower for invaders is too low
finus 28 Jun, 2017 @ 3:49am
invasion team need more manpower bonus!!
SSG BOOTH 25 Jun, 2017 @ 5:40pm
At the point of the invasion. The allies had the man power advantage of 2 to 1 defenders or better. There for with fuel bing off shore waiting with all the other logistics to come. The allies here should have at least 5,000 man power in order to create the continual arrival of landing creaft with engineers, mg and mortor teams to support the infantry and assaulting ragners. The gane play for this map is backward as German armor reserves never made it to th beach head areas.
visions 25 Jun, 2017 @ 12:19pm
This map is a constant rush to break a tie. It'll take a lot to defeat the Allies, while it'll be impossible to defeat the Axis. Plus, a 4v4 equals a slowly, boring-ass lost game for the Allies.

Basically, unbalanced.
Imperatoria Custodum 25 Jun, 2017 @ 3:52am
'Largest invasion of the 20th century' also 'There were enough boats there to make a bridge across the channel' those were both taken out of my copy of Stephen E. Ambrose's D-Day book

like they start caping it but it just goes back up to full
Hydrolaevea 25 Jun, 2017 @ 3:33am
there are bugs with attacking troops not being able to capture the points thta are close to the ridge
fix that
地瓜之秀 24 Jun, 2017 @ 8:51pm
VERY BUG MAP
Jackbrick 24 Jun, 2017 @ 11:29am
The attackers should get a manpower bonus. It's too easy for the defenders.
Rager_Beater 24 Jun, 2017 @ 7:36am
the number of men on operation overlord that landed that one day was 156 000 soldiers, not a million.

Weevil 24 Jun, 2017 @ 3:37am
