@desertmomof5 No, there isn't. I intended for it to be, but the framework changed with the updates and I couldn't get it to work with the new versions.

But, someone else have made a better mod!

Is there a 1.0 goblin race mod? This Dungeons and Dragons mod I have needs this mod and a Kobald mod, but the Kobald mod is 1.0

@Tiny I haven't removed anything from the workshop. The Trolls in this mods are still there. However, the mod is severely outdated and will not function with newer versions.

Hey! I noticed you removed your troll race mod from the workshop. This has fucked up one of my saves making me unable to load it up. Any chance you could provide a download link for it so I can make it playable again?

@Bosh it is most likely not. The framework is updated and I had a lot of bugs when I tried. That, and I'm currently not modding very much. However, I thank you for the interest.

I would be happy to update them to b18, I however only have basic experience with the Alien races framework in B18, but I will do my best. I also have only done some work with C# in rimworld, but I am proficient in some other coding languages so im sure it wouldn't be that hard to learn.

@TuckerMan Hi, and thank you for your interest. As it is, the dwarf mod is allready released (not updated though). As for the Simple Elves, I have the files mostly ready if I remember correctly, but never got around to update them to B18. If you would like to do a collaboration, that is fine for me. I can send you the files, and you can see if you can get them updated to B18 and working properly. Sounds good?

If you are proficient with C# however, I got another mod idea I need some help with :)

Not sure if this was an error. I was getting back to back to back raids from goblins, and medieval factions, plus modded medieval vanilla factions (fully medieval play-through with goblins for more flavor). Figured maybe your mod recognized it was time for a raid, and the game did too, but they didn't acknowledge each other. So I got a double or triple dose. Working as intended?

@1001YellowDaffodils If I remember correctly, you can make peace with goblins to the point that they won't attack you. You will never be able to have an alliance with them, or become friendly with them, but I think I made the cap low enough for them to stop attacking if you are friendly enough. This mod, at least to me, pairs wonderfully with the Love craftian cults mod.
Would make sense lesser, primitive goblins would worship the old, forbidden elder ones. lol

You aren't being harsh for toying with the idea of everyone hating Goblins, in folklore they are considered the lowest of the low. However, solely for the sake of game pacing, it would be a good idea to allow for Goblins to make peace with other factions, albeit by no means easy. Another idea would be to make the goblins lesser beings compared to humans, the only positive being a faster heal rate.

Thank you for the info, but I would not advise adding or removing the mod to an existing save due to how the faction systems are added in the world generation. Thus, it will almost certainly create a faction issue.

Just for the info, tried adding it to a save, worked fine. But removing it did not. :P Might've been because of the goblin corpses/blood on the ground. :D Got a weird cleaning bug mid game, so tried removing it to check if that was the problem.

No, unfortunatly, the armor wont get just right. Luckily, I heard rumors of a large scale LOTR mod, which will most likely be a lot better than this addition

This mod is great! Playing as gobbos is a nice challange. I recommend using it with mods that remove tech factions and guns and add medieval stuff.

I just wish armor looked right. Is there any way to adjust that?

@yamagata they are slightly faster and more dangerous unarmed than humans. The added trait possibillity of bloodlust is also good for your warriors.

As far as I know it should be no mod conflicts as I am not changing the formula, but adding new codes.

I would recommend starting a new save because the mod adds factions. But I havent tested it on existing saves.

I would love to add uruks, but they demand a lot of textures to armor, weapons, face and body, so if Im creating the uruk hai mod, it'll be a little while.

@Hawkefire I tried altering it, but as I thought, I only managed to affect the effect of alcohol, meaning that humans and other races would get the same bonuses. However, I added a new thought restricted to dwarfs, giving them extra buffs from parties :)

@quietcardinal Yeah, it seems like people want it. I'll see if I can make it this month (I have a full-time job, so it can take a couple weeks even though it's easy to make).

@hawkefire I like the idea, and see if I can make it so, yet I think the effects of alchohol is constant, so if I change them, all races would be affected. However I will try.

I would love to have dwarves! If I can give some possible ideas, I would make them immune to the negative effects of alcohol (still get the positive effects). Not sure how hard that would be to implement.

@Smuffle, I am referring to the Elves and Dwarves, honestly a race that fits with the medieval setting is a great idea in my perspective, adding two more races to the board would be a nice idea in my view.

Oh well, I am enrolling in programming high school in a few months. I'll be trying to make such a mod myself on Rimworld with the spare time then. Maybe we could work together when it comes to that but that's still a while to go. I'm happy you seem to like the idea yourself too :) I'll try to see how it goes now with myself too for the modding cause I haven't really looked into it yet myself :p

@blackjacketrocco I think opening a discussion for creating backstories and coming up with names and faction names would be great! I'm on holiday now so I cant give exactly the xml format, but essentially what you want to include is title for backstory, description, and skills removed or improved. Also wether its from childhood or adulthood.

@laxus dreyar It would be cool, but that would need very much effort to make, ranging from weapon and armor to race and faction. It is possible that I might make something of the sorts, but Ill come back to that after creating simplistic dwarves and elves.

Thanks for the previous response. I was suggesting that there backstory can have some influence from the shadow of mordor game. I might start a discussion about it, given some time and a lot of smoothing of this rough idea, into a brilliant piece of content. :D

@Smuffle yeah, I planted potatoes for making kibble for the wargs, but then my cook made simple meals out of them using only potatoes. goblins eat them without issue.

Hey Smuffle, very nice mod and got my interest. I won't be getting it yet (still in an old save) but I will keep myself updated on the progress. Maybe it's very grand to think of it but consider adding a LOTR like mod? Gondor, Rohan, Isengard and all that in the game as factions?
