This is working, you just need to select the "Skip gathering of animals" options in the mod settings. Makes it so colonists will automatically load items into whatever caravan animal is near them, rather than waiting hours for everyone to assemble.

Guys, I haven't played Rimworld in over 2 years. I hope this mod still works for you. It looks like most of the problems with caravans has been fixed in the base game by now, but if you're still having trouble forming caravans I think this will help.

Please do not count on future updates! If you want this mod updated, then be the change you want to see in the world. This is the first mod I've ever made, and I pretty much just followed the tutorials for making a C# mod. I didn't even know C# when I made this mod. If you have ANY CODING EXPERIENCE then you should be able to update this mod. Grab the source code from the github page: https://github.com/jopejope/BillysCaravanFormation

I've added comments to the source code that ought to explain everything. You might have to dig around the Rimworld source for the caravan forming code, and debug it, but it really isn't that bad.

Is there still a possibility of a mod update?

Since RimWorld is considered complete now, I doubt there will be another major update. So mods that get updated to [1.0] probably won't need to be updated again to stay usable for a long time.

unfortunatly this mod no longer works correctly. It Blocks carvans from forming, you can choose whos going and set a destination but if disables the go command.

The trick to loading a large caravan (aside from using this mod) is to add everyone to the caravan and subtract the people not going before they leave. This way everyone helps with the loading.

Please update this mod. Building large caravans are almost impossible, even if you pack them with only the bare necessities.

Ugh... loading caravans is so broken! Pawns not sleeping, eating or washing (Hygiene mod) while waiting for 2 DAYS for the caravan to load is KILLING the game...

Caravan loading still sucks in B19 please update. I've been watching my caravan member "wander" instead of actually loading for two days now.

@cammillotto managing areas is fairly easy to do, i personally don't mind, but muffaloes not auto-unloading their stuff is actually good news... i used a mod just to prevent just that.

I can tell you that caravan unloading sucks. Muffalos just graze and pawn have to cross the prairie just to unload them. I don't like having to micromanage allowed zone to make it easier. any tips on this anyone? thanks!

I suspect that Yes, Vehicles B18 and most vehicle mods are not compatible.

Seems to not work with misc robots hauling robots. They no longer load the caravan.

Could you add a little something that loads everything and all colonists onto a caravan? Like with wildlife tab and shift click at the top being hunt all/hunt none.

This mod breaks the caravan formation using "Yes, Vehicles'. With this mod activated, truck (in my case) would gather all supplies for the travel, after which he would start wandering about, doing zilch.

I made a caravan recently and the two colonists I wanted to send along both slept on the ground, outside, in the heat etc. because their bedrooms were probably too far from the caravan spot. They both had mental breaks because of this. Does this mod fix this problem?

This mod is a lifesaver! Got hit with toxic fallout and my giant animal herds were getting hungry. I tried forming a caravan a couple times, but it would take so long that the animals would start droping like flies.

Installed this, and got almost all of the animals out safely! My 7 huskies, 10 red foxes, 60 chickens, 86 chinchillas, 1 buck, 1 turkey, 11 alpacas, and 16 muffalos thank you as well =)

Thanks "billy". I just did my first caravan last night (i havent really played since A8) and ran into all sorts of problems since it took 2 days for my caravan to form up. grrr.

TY! I'm subscribing now because this is already awesome, but I *really* need this for transport pods. Ideally when I'm loading up a transport pod with 2 pawns and some supplies then all pawns could help, but I'd be thrilled if both pawns[b/] loaded the pod.

I suppose now it runs the risk of double-loading some supplies. Not sure how to get around that...

Currently does not affect transport pods, but I plan on adding that feature soon. You're right that it doesn't make sense to have only one pawn at a time loading a transport pod.

Does this affect loading transport pods as well? Only having one pawn loading items in is quite tedious, especially since other pawns just stand around and starve.
