I got the feeling I'm watching a fan-fic about DS9 every time it happens !
I'll also be fixing a lot of cues that don't trigger properly by updating the mod to use robojumper's voicepack script.
Because I've a team with gul dukat, Kira Nerys and Bashir and Gul Dukat congrat a good fire of Nerys in a very flirty way and Bashir with a "wel done, doctor"
EPIC
Maybe one day - these take an insane amount of time to produce. I'm currently working on a Babylon 5 cast voicepack. Hoping to have this ready in time for War of The Chosen DLC.
Because a separate Benny Russell voice would be pretty sweet, but it could also be good to use Benny when Sisko is disoriented or panicked.
(I swear to god I heard Janeway say "shields up" when Kira went into overwatch though. Not sure about that, I must have mis-heard it)
As for the other crew piping in, I could see how that might be cool if you had each of the potential speaking characters in your squad (alive and well), and you were dressing them to essentially be their ds9 counterparts, but that's not what I was hoping for.
Anyway, I wanna at least say I did enjoy the rest of what I'd seen of the voice mod, specifically Quark and Dax as they were the two I used the most in my most recent playthrough, but I was intending to use their voices as a match of sorts for the non-ds9 characters I'd already created, which is generally what I do with voice mods (With the exception of Bob Ross and Tommy Wisau... they're just... themselves). Maybe I'm just weird like that.
>>but I wasn't trying to recreate the crew of DS9
Weeelll that's exactly what I was trying to do so this probably isn't the mod for you!
>>Rom complimenting Quark or Worf praising the Dax voice every time they got kills.
I haven't even play-tested this mod at all aside from creating the demo video - but I think you might be overstating this.
Dax: 15 kill lines, 2 of them are from other characters
Quark: 40 kill lines, 6 of them are from other characters.
A few characters have a higher percentage (Rom, Bashir, Kira), some less (Sisko, Weyoun, Winn)
I could make some adjustments to make other characters speaking on kills a rarer event? No plans to remove them entirely though. The whole point of this voicepack is to have a "DS9 squad" - this is particularly useful in Long War 2 where you actually have defined squads of around this size and receive bonuses for keeping them together on missions.
When a character gets a kill, I've noticed that for some reason other DS9 characters compliment them, which... makes no sense, it's like the unit has multiple voices. Also, in some of the lines the character mentions their own name (like the Quark voice will say Quark in one of the lines). This might be okay for some people, but I wasn't trying to recreate the crew of DS9, I just wanted them to share their voices. It's unfortunate, because most of the voice mod is actually quite good, but I finally couldn't stand Rom complimenting Quark or Worf praising the Dax voice every time they got kills.
Any chance of a Breen voicepack? It crossed my mind very recently that their speech would be great for a SPARK, or someone wearing a full helmet.
But Morn never shuts up!
