Blindrun
Must say, this was the easiest map yet. Still fun, but on the collection page I did remember you making a pledge that there would be no “ninja moves” involved. Granted, I may not have done this as intended, but the moves to get the laser across the gap's a little finicky, mostly the part where you have to avoid the faith plate bouncing you right back.

It’s interesting seeing people complain about broken glass just “letting them through” and in-universe how that doesn’t really make any sense. I think with the first one it’s reasonable to assume the test may have been designed that way initially, if only to test our willingness to do whatever it takes to proceed. (Not to mention there were sequences like this in the campaign.) I will say it’s odd that the cube can break the glass but not the player themselves. I get that the author’s intention is to get the player to try different things, but the physical justification... just isn't there :P

I initially thought the second broken window was lazy too but with the absence of fizzlers on the way in it’d be dead easy to get out and it’s more of a convenience thing anyway. It seems that the very first one that restricts access to that room as a whole “mysteriously” turns off when the glass breaks though, maybe it would’ve made more sense to just have the button that spawns the weighted cube connect to it normally.

Also, I dunno what’s up with the broken floor at the end. Strafing sideways while walking on it results in a very jittery motion, very akin to what happens to the player’s movement in the Far Lands of old versions of Minecraft. Seems like that’s unintended to me.

Difficulty: 3.5/10
Enjoyed: 7.5/10

Im confused about the end part. I tried to jump up a bunch of times and couldn’t, and then suddenly I could. I don’t understand what happened lol. Fantastic map otherwise tho

actually guys, everyone is complaining about the fact we had to break the glass with the cube but really no one remember that in the actual Portal 2, that was possible? i think in the chapter "The Reunion", in one or more tests we had to do it, by covering a companion cube in blue gel and letting it jump near glasses, so that is real
Muzozavr 24 Nov, 2022 @ 1:58pm
Never realized you could break the glass with the cube at the beginning , so had to solve the first part with a bullshitty laser shot, but it was still FAR more manageable than the ending of the previous map, so... after me having to play THAT, you can't blame me for being slightly better at laser shots than before. :P

Second and third puzzles were very nice individually, but I'm not quite sure about the progression at the end of puzzle 2 -- stuff just breaks and that lets you through? In-universe, back when this test was fully functional, how would that even work?

Anyway, I actually had fun with this one, the laser field bit in puzzle 2 was pretty neat. Thumbs up, even if the beginning is cryptic enough that I had to cheese it to solve the map.

So. Many. Parts.

Insufficiently challenging and below its potential. Too bad :-/
Calwin 5 Oct, 2019 @ 6:59am
I managed to use the blue force field thing to get all the stuff into the last room. I had an extra lens cube at the end. U could incorporate that into the last puzzle to make it harder.
I managed to use the blue force field thingy to get to the companion cube, but it refused to loosen...seems like it is stuck up there. Good puzzle, less challenging than part 0 for sure. Just a little bit confusing in the beginning as to what to do in what order, then it all goes pretty easily. Getting out of the first part could have been made more difficult if the glass didn't brake. I was kind of nervous as to whether I got out of there. This map has potential to be a lot harder, if u wanted to.

Some cleaner, no rubbish floor would be better, and floor cave away after the exit is definitely not welcomed.
KØ414 B33R 30 Jun, 2019 @ 10:42am
Nice.
Tronsx 27 Jun, 2019 @ 5:12pm

awesome chamber
michaeleo 3 Mar, 2019 @ 6:14pm
Are you kidding me?!! That was awesome :D I love portal because it makes me think and Lonewolf2056 really made me think outside of the box, heck I was even trying to break the other window in the second office lol. Great work and btw loved the easter eggs at the start of the level, nice touch. Keep up the amazing work :)
Habijob 27 Dec, 2018 @ 3:41pm
Wait, you are supposed to break the glass with the cube at the beginning? Lmao. I solved it rather cryptic
Extornal 19 Dec, 2018 @ 4:27am
That was pretty good wp sir
Carpe_Wade09 24 Nov, 2018 @ 3:25am
To be honest, I agree with Lepo. I don't know how to solve it because no matter how I try, it never works!
So I won't disagree with Lepo.
Lepo 2 Oct, 2018 @ 3:42am
Sorry but i really don't like when there's unique mechanics to solve test. Never saw a cube breaking a glass. Was stuck just because i had no idea i could do that.

Quite a tricky puzzle. Well done. Thanks!
BehindPortal 9 Sep, 2017 @ 4:17am

Cakeface 13 Jul, 2017 @ 3:38pm
Brilliant. Nice job! Enjoyed the environment and medium difficulity puzzle. I will have to search out others in the series.
XIII 20 Feb, 2017 @ 1:13pm
I loved it until I put the wrong cube to the room and got myself all stuck and really didnt feel like repeating the #2 steps.
torax+***** 16 Feb, 2017 @ 4:47am
Now I will have to play through all of the maps in this series. Let's just hope I don't do them all in one sitting. :)
Petutski 16 Jan, 2017 @ 5:07am
Fun map. Great looking. Thanks!

What a toughie, Thought i'd never finish. Thanks
Zuntak 23 Mar, 2016 @ 12:24pm
It is getting better and better, I was especially amaized by the breaking of the glass in the begining :steamhappy: :spirallove: :p2turret:
Spaceminnow 9 Mar, 2016 @ 2:00am
Easier than part 1 in my opinion. I tried to get the companion cube. I guess it's just for show. I was very close to it and it didn't react to the e key at all...
Boxkiller9000 23 Feb, 2016 @ 5:14pm
i don't know if im just getting used to your tests but this felt like it was a lot easier then the first two
kaczynski 18 Jan, 2016 @ 3:29pm
@TS_Mind_Swept, damn you are not only all over youtube, but steam too?

gillianstarr 4 Nov, 2015 @ 5:45am
difficult. I thought that I had goofed when I was finally able to get locked door open ( ane then fhe floor collapses? tricky, tricky.
lfairban 19 Aug, 2015 @ 9:00pm
Very good. It took a lot longer than it should have, I kept walking up unproductive paths.
clutterArranger 11 Jul, 2015 @ 10:19pm
Hey, i managed to bypass the part with 2 dots. Here is how. Somehow land on that thin breakable glasses bottom edge (i did it by flinging from outside). Pop a blue portal to somewhere beyond the gap. Hop inside(the side with laser). Pop orange portal to laser. Walk in. Replace blue to open 2 dot door. Use your already claimed ball to gain the laser cube from there. Walk out with both without solving the rest of 2-dot room. Now you have 1 old 1 new laser cube. 1 ball. And laser on your portal. So you can finish the map. You should somehow make that edge unlandible. Maybe adding killer lazer to bottom half can help. So you can still pass with faith plate. But cant stay on edge somehow. But cool map!
Sir Rathc0cK 8 Jun, 2015 @ 11:21am
love it!!!

Ani 10 Apr, 2015 @ 9:25pm
If I hadn't looked up a walkthrough, I would NEVER have known that glass was breakable. Ever. Something I'm noticing in these maps is that there is a serious lack of clues when we're expected to do something weird.

Chelliste 28 Nov, 2014 @ 1:48am
Spent too much time trying to dislodge that companion cube from the ceiling near the exit. It's just there for decoration, won't budge, though I found a way to grab it (if it could budge). The key to the whole thing for me was the faith plate. Once I used that correctly, everything else flowed.
PaperTib 24 Jul, 2014 @ 6:35am
good
TS_Mind_Swept 23 Jul, 2014 @ 2:30pm
there was a bit i had to do, but it was kind of fun. I didn't get stuck on this one like the others and I think this is the best chamber so far. 8.5/10 :p2aperture:
Nat 16 Jul, 2014 @ 9:28am
Had a lot of fun with the "A-HA" moments in this one.
mailjohnmorris 19 May, 2014 @ 12:48pm
Enjoyable test chamber!
joe 13 May, 2014 @ 5:04am
Beautiful but I found this an annoying backwards and forwards carrying three objects boring and unneccessary.
ZAEROS 5 May, 2014 @ 7:30am
My heart sank when I saw the portable wall behind the dropper in room 2 was gone! Took some time to find a work-round but got there eventually.Great fun again, Thank you.
BerSeeker 2 May, 2014 @ 9:35am
good map. but wall on top of room 3 need to be unportalable. you can shot from the first laser room to top of this wall. after grabbed the sphere and grab the first cube and cube from room 2, open room 3 and finishing the level without going through room 2 feezzlers
