I honestly don't know; the instructor hints worked fine all that time ago, haha. The first chamber requires you to infinite-run in the little gap, then shoot a portal onto the floor so the horizontal momentum becomes vertical. While in the air, shoot a portal at the angled panel, and fling across the acid.

Here I am in 2020, and I can't seem to get the instructor hints to show up. Did something change in the game engine that might have rendered them unusable? I do have "gameinstructor_enable 1", but no hints pop up. Thanks for making this, at any rate, even if it's almost 9 years old. :-) I'm trying to figure out the first chamber without cheating, and so far, nothing's working - I could probably really use the instructor hints! :-#

go to settings and go to keyboard and click "enable dev console" then press the tild key ~ then type this. bind "v" "noclip" (with the quotes) and then press v and move around and bam! your nocliping! hope this helped :)

Recently replayed this map. The space sphere part is very strange in that the laser cube on the button that I had to lift up to hit the laser rarely actually hits the catcher which is annoying. BTS area of adventure sphere felt quite unusual in that every time I've played it I've done things differently.

It kind of made sense with the character because in the single player story, Wheatley steals GLaDOS's chambers and claims they are of his creations. The way you presented it doesn't really tell a joke, or at least very well it doesn't.

wildgoosespeeder - Indeed. I've certainly improved from back then, and the stuff I tried to do with the turret and things was just weird. The Wheatley area was meant to be a joke, but I guess that didn't come across all that well.

What a strange map from the old ThinkingWithPortals.com days. I liked the Adventure Sphere area the most. It was just interesting. The Space Sphere area felt tedious. The Fact Sphere area was annoying preserving the turret because first time didn't see the laser coming. Wheatley's area was just Portal 1 promo video stuff.

Totally understand. This thing is dodgy as hell. It was my first Portal 2 project, and I'd only spent time doing mapping for the original at this stage. My train of thought was fucked up, and a large amount of it is dodgy as hell.

I don't knoiw what it is, but that one didn't suit my fancy like the other one did, it was kind of confusing in many places, and i don't think i did the first space core room right, it felt exploited. Also the part in the first room where you fall through the floor was kind of cheap, you hit the wall, and then started flying forward again, you may want to fix that. and that stupid turret died like a million times x.x eventually i thought to F6 after a made a little progress there. That's pretty much it with the complaints though, the rest of it wasn't that bad, I guess I'm just not really in a puzzle solving mood, oh well. I did like the wall designs though, I've done some design work myself and i know how long that takes and how overlooked it is, so I'm giving you some accolades for that. 8.5/10

"There is only one monitor that COULD be smashed even if I added the triggers." I counted at least two, maybe three. You could use a turret to shoot one of the fact core's monitors and fling to hit Wheatley's monitor.

Anyways, very good map. 4/5 from me.

@Kmatic - there are no voice lines for many of the cores to even bother including window smashing, so I won't in this case. And there is no Core Civ sign, the picture above was photoshopped.

@Inspirata - Have you gotten the turret to shoot it? You kinda have to stand behind the glass and get the turret to shoot at you through the broken pane. (Yes, its convoluted - but again, this was made a year and a bit ago when I was a bit rubbish at level design)

It may be enabled by default, but it might help to run it just in case someone, for whatever reason, has it set to 0.

Also, I can't seem to get the glass by the repulsion gel to break.

@Inspirata - I frustrated protoborg because he is an idiot, not because the map is frustrating (though it is, it was created last year when I was much, much worse at level design). You should try the original version on ThinkingWithPortals, its infinitely worse.

"gameinstructor_enable 1" should be enabled by default, its not my fault if someone turns it off.
