I swear Crushing Blow is already the name of the MaA skill... either you influenced the vanilla game in some way or I've just subconsciously given the abilities cooler names than they have.

The changes don't feature grammatical errors (what a relief xD), the names are improvements over vanilla, what more could you want!

Yeah, it's a little difficult. It's been a while since I've done this work, but I think you need to run the localization application in the windows folder of your Darkest Dungeon folder. Let me know if that makes your edits appear in-game!

Subscribed to this the other day. Thought it was an excellent idea and it inspired me to try tinkering with the names of other abilities (and even the names of some of the classes). But it doesn't seem to be as straightforward as editing the effects or damage of abilities. So my question is what all did you you modify to change the ability names? Because in this mod file, there's not much to it other than the localization folder containing the string tables and the different language files. When I edit the string tables, nothing changes in-game. And when I edit the _english file, the game crashes on launch. Any tips or pointers?

I've done some digging and seen what you're talking about - unfortunately, I don't know any way to get this mod compatible with any changes that UI Enhancement makes to the "heroes.string_table" which this mod changes (which is mostly the flavor text, but also some changes to camping tooltips). Sorry for the inconvenience!

Do you mean the flair descriptions in the Blacksmith? I personally run UI enhancement as well, and I can see them myself.

Oh damn, it only works partially. The flair description for weapons and armors does not work, perhaps some other stuff breaks as well. But on the whole it does work :D

I've placed UI Enhancement below the Immersive Ability Names in priority, if that helps anyone in organizing it.

@Joker - I tried a different structure to make the mod less intrusive (using a .override to only add in the files I've personally changed, rather than the whole heroes_strings xml). I guess that doesn't work for XMLs, so I've just changed it back to a proper version. Should work now!

I've also decapitalized the word off, it does look better that way.

Great improvement on the atmosphere, thanks for this mod.
One comment before I go, "Bit Off the Top" I think should be "Bit off the Top" (Off isn't capitalized).
Sorry if I'm being a little pedantic, if you feel it suits the mod as it is you obvisouly don't need to change it.

Great Mod! Good heavens the writers at Red Hook must have been tired when i came to naming their attacks, the repetitive language really didnt fit with the rest of the game. Thank you!

Really its more like "more consistent" naming since you really just fix all the badly named abilities but im just being pedantic. Nice mod, definitely gonna subscribe.
