Thats weird i havent had this issue on my end, but ill try updating later today. You can also press the console buton ~ then type snd_restart or unsubscribe and subscribe again for the mod to build up again.

after the new update for some reason when I have this installed I get a really loud screeching noise

Sound for MG42 is kind of ridiculous, way too heavy bass but still sounds alright.
