I am having problems with this models, they change brightness when you get further away from them and also they have some sort of a missing resource a texture or something that doesn't allow me to load my levels in game, the ones that use this resource

Do you know what may be causing this?

As a cliff aficionado, I can tell, that yes, these are indeed, without a doubt, cliffs.
