No, what I'm saying is that if you want a few hundred times the speed of light, you would go to before the big bang, therefore the sun wouldn't exist. But, what I'm saying is that if you go faster, you wouldn't hit the sun, it wouldn't exist.

You easily could build something faster than light if your PC is able to handle it.
Build a cram cannon with 600 Motor Driven Barrels.
At least if that's not fixed yet - and I think it isn't.
If it isn't, and you fire this cannon, you should be able to make the distance from earth to sun in a time that is actually that short it throws you so far in the past you will fly past the sun - as you arrived before it even existed.
That's at least how I like to explain that the sun in FTD isn't solid.
