@Gabriel: Well done. I love it, when players find their own way. That's the kind of brain, which Portal 2 is all about. Thumbs up.
Gabriel 25 Apr, 2021 @ 12:52pm
Great map. After solving it we watched some solution videos and are pretty sure we did it totally wrong:

We didn't notice that you can bring the Ball from the very first room. This means in the drawbridge room we were short of one ball, so only one person could cross the river in the normal way, for the other it was blocked because we needed one of the balls to open the door. So we thought the second person must jump over the river. First we put two portals for an infinite fall in the blue goo room and then used the portal spot above the goo room (the one you must shoot later from the "7" to reach the blue goo room again) to shoot the second player over the river. That jump is quite glitchy, it does not always work because the speed varies... But sometimes it does.

"It is not stupid when it works" ;)

During the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak my wife and I just did this test chamber and one of the earlier Sunbury Chambers. Had a blast. Cheers from 8 years in the future. :steamhappy:

Lol, me and my mate solved this map in probably the most incorrect way ever. We didn't even use the portable laser because I didn't realise it was a thing, lol. I have no idea how we even solved it to begin with but it was a nice map, good job.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 30 Dec, 2017 @ 3:14pm
@MrTekila97: Too easy? Hmmm. You may like to try chamber 16 - starts easy and increases the difficulty sligthly (just fails to jump back into the main menu at the end, but that issue should be acceptable).
Teki 30 Dec, 2017 @ 9:34am
Really cool map but too ez for us ;)

Artisan Canid 6 Jul, 2014 @ 8:25pm
Me and my friend mostly use this for a cheat map. When we tried to solve it we got stuck :(
BierPizzaChips  [author] 31 Oct, 2013 @ 8:45pm
@SmokeySmudgeStudio: There is a button outsite which open the door to the room with the nice view. If that's your 'backtracking', you did perfectly well.
Pseudonym 31 Oct, 2013 @ 10:01am
I did some backtracking to get the cubes from the first indoor bit to the outdoor bit to activate the draw bridge. Was this right or is there a solution we missed?
Pseudonym 31 Oct, 2013 @ 9:51am
@BierPizzaChips aw we should have recorded it. Nevermind. Took us a good hour though and we couldn't do the next one in the series afterwords as both of our our brain capacities had completely depleted. Good job though, will attempt number 14 at a later date after having a good nights sleep and after eating chocolate.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 30 Oct, 2013 @ 11:17pm
@SmokeySmudgeStudio: Congrats! Most players struggle to find the boucy gel. Which makes you be one of the top players. Well done.
Pseudonym 30 Oct, 2013 @ 8:14am
This map is amazing. It was challenging but we could still do it without a walkthrough.

WOW JUST WOW
BierPizzaChips  [author] 9 Jun, 2013 @ 5:26am
Good. The purpose of the light bridge should only be to deliver a portal for splashing the paint at the lasers position. The tricky part is to position the floor portal correctly for catching the paint in a specific entry angle. Therefore that portal needs to be placed with the back to the laser's wall and not from inside the room.
dEzZe ツ 9 Jun, 2013 @ 2:55am
I dont have a screenshot of that but I think we did it as you describe. We splashed the wall right behind the light bridge where the laser hits the wall with paint so we were able to place a portal on the wall instead of on the light bridge and get a straight angled laser into a portal and on the other side.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 8 Jun, 2013 @ 6:55pm
@dEzZe ツ: Awesome, guys. Looks like a good paint job :-P
I wonder if anybody at anytime got the solution right in the split chamber by using the portable light bridge from behind to splash paint at the laser's spot?!? Its important how you place the second portal onto the ground to get the angle right ;-)
Avida Dollars 18 May, 2013 @ 1:13pm
awesome! :D
Lumphie 15 May, 2013 @ 3:39pm
Long map, had to restart it three times! Cool! Greetings, Mclumphie and Epischesnor
YegormeiΣter 12 May, 2013 @ 2:04pm
I just played this map, for about 3-2 hours.
Got stuck everywhere, fell out of the map to the skybox underneth it.
Had to use kill commands.

But we had so much fun and laughes with the Blue gel in the small lazer box thingi near the window.

You should work at Valve.
Lizard Wizard 10 May, 2013 @ 12:01am
Pretty chalenging and my friend and I broke the level a couple of times by locking the bals in a different room as us XD. But noclip saved the day and it was fun even though we broke it! But we still figured it out fairly.

Seriously seriously impressive. The only real complaint is the same as others have mentioned: dying takes you to the beginning. Very good use of textures and surfaces. Worthy of medals.
Kathleen 3 Dec, 2012 @ 6:28pm
That... was amazing. Thank you for this series, it rocks.
WiggleNips 24 Oct, 2012 @ 2:07pm
CATS belive this map was very interesting but dogs say woof.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 12 Oct, 2012 @ 5:42pm
If you are interested in playing COOP maps via Steam, you may have noticed that it can take sometimes ages before a map had been downloaded due to Steam’s interesting performance.
Therefore it is even more important having a good map to come, if you and your mate are waiting for it to be downloaded. But how to learn which maps are worth playing?
I recommend the walkthrough videos of Iviv and LyLy:
http://www.youtube.com/user/2Nightmaren
You may not like to watch it all before the map had indeed been played, but watching the first two minutes should give you a fair impression. And if you and your mate stuck in the map, have a look for the rest of the video. Highly recommended.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 9 Oct, 2012 @ 12:48am
UPDATED:
Fixed a shortcut identified by Iviv LyLy;
added messages regards doors to be opened from outside;
added lightpointer for external portal surface;
modified light settings.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 30 Sep, 2012 @ 8:20am
Thanks to Iviv and LyLy for the video. Awesome to see you guys in action. And you found brand new solutions - cool. The lightbridge is portable from both(!) sites - the sphere upstairs enables a portable plate outsite to come back from the glue chamber, which could be used to make the jump upstairs. I really like how you took the lift instead - nice.
Sage 22 Sep, 2012 @ 12:08pm
Thank you very much. I apologize for not seeing this. I shall give a thumbs up and check it out :)
BierPizzaChips  [author] 22 Sep, 2012 @ 12:17am
Hi Braleven: That's why i implemented two doors which can be opened from outsite by a team mate. The doors have numbers to ease the comunication. You just have to care for each other ;-)
Sage 21 Sep, 2012 @ 9:33pm
This map was fantastic. BUT. I have to thumbs down mate. When you die you respawn at the very beginning! Sorry, friend. It needs a fix. Other than that it is beautiful.
BierPizzaChips  [author] 20 Sep, 2012 @ 2:48pm
Currently a third of all poeple voting are giving this map a thumbs down.
Looks like i have to give you a fair warning ;-)
This map requires some well organized exploring and advanced Portal experience e.g. the knowledge of how to move up on a single light bridge. If you just started with Portal, i recommend to train first with my SP maps starting with Sunbury Chambers 4.
