Some of your Blocks are "Ghostblocks". You can walk through them and they don't transmit power. Can you please fix that? I noticed that especially using vertically curved cables. Also junction- /wallboxes seem not to transfer power.

No, I found a workaround. THIS mod works, but your ModPack doesn't - the blocks in THIS mod, Power Cable Blocks, do not render in your Pipes and Wires Modpack, but by loading the PCB mod above your P&WModPack, the issue is solved.
Bit of an odd workaround, but as I said, it fixes the issue, since both mods uses the exact same 3-pipe blocks.

I'm not modding anymore. If this mod stopped working I can remove it from the workshop. There are still 22,549 subscribers so I'll hold off for now.

This mod still works. The Pipes and Cables Pack does NOT work entirely - the pipes in THIS MOD work, but the same pipes in the MOD PACK do not work, they stop rendering at times.

@Gabriella, do you have the fixed version with all the block visible in G-menu available somewhere?, I'd like to be able to see the junction/button and the PowerCell other than scrolling in the +StraightCable

As of now I don't plan to make any updates or changes to this mod. I currently have no time to mess around with this stuff and I don't know when or if I will in the near future. I'm glad so many people enjoy it, but I just don't have time or the know how to do the things you all want. I would be happy to hand it over to anyone who would like to take this further.

These are still wonderful.
I wish there was an additional mod where armor blocks did NOT transfer power, so that wiring up systems was part of the game.

Rather than implementing full conveyor behavior I'd like to see these cables double as pipes for only gasses and liquids.

I agree. You would need to script it so it can be a block but not be part of the grid and transfer power. That is way beyond anything I could do.

removing the power pasthrough from all other blocks, so you have to connect all functional blocks with cables and junction boxes in order to actually function would be the ultimate thing.
The junction box could deliver power to all functional blocks in a specific area like 5 blocks in diameter and receive power from powergenerating blocks like reactors/solar/etc with the same area limitation.

if you want to do the ULTIMATE thing, go ahead and make these cable be conveyors. i personally dont "really" need that but that would make these things actually usefull other than pure decoration. i really like this mod, always a nice thing to have some immersive stuff ingame

@ lancce [WolfCraft Industries] I will consider your ideas. I really wasn't very pleased with the junction boxes I made originally so I like your ideas. I didn't think anyone would leave them hanging in the air but that is also a possibility to make some without the mounting rings. That would be an easy addition.

what i would like to see is:
Cabel / junction Box with Light
Junction Box with LCD screen
button panel with LCD screen
Cables without mounting rings on so if you have some cables hanging in the air it doesnt look weird.
perhaps a big junction box like the ones you can see on the streets

The progression system was added after I made this mod. I personally think it's quite stupid and adds nothing to the game, so I won't put it in progression. As for variants, I'm always open to suggestions.

@Gabriella. So you only want my blocks to show up in it's own category and not appear in the large and small blocks area? I can do that if others agree they would like these blocks to only show up in KaosKorp location. I was hoping for someone to tell me how to eliminate the blank spaces so that the blocks would still be available in Small, Large and All blocks categories.

One of my friends said he is getting a warning on the server that says textures don't exist.

The warning looks like this:

Is anyone else getting these warnings in SP or Server games?
The textures still load ok on the server but I would like to fix it so it doesn't create the warning. If you know how to fix it, please post here.

PCU is roughly based on the potential lag and performance cost of the object. Something that is simply destructable costs 1. Blocks that can store items tend to be around 10-15. Objects that can inflict damage like drills and weapons tend to be around 190 or more.

Some vanilla items are just wrong, like the small battery costing 1 so use common sense.

Occasionally game balance can be a factor (Survival Kit, Refineries, weapons) but generally it's minor.

These ones are actually super easy since their functions are the same as vanilla blocks. Any battery should really cost 15, and these are closer the large batteries anyway. The button panels should cost the same as 4 button panels since the 1 button difference isn't that signifigant.

Everything else should cost 1, since as you say, it's basically armor (which should transmit power, just not make or use it).

No, they are just blocks and act like light armor blocks. I intend to do an update for the beta release that will add PCU costs to the blocks for servers as soon as I figure out how that is calculated.

I guess we will have to see what happens when they leave early access. Keen has the uncanny ability to mess up everything. I will probably do an update and maybe even make some more mods if they can manage to leave the game alone for a while after next week. Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best eh? :steamhappy:
