Happens when enemy vehicles are in a sector where your forces a fighting for. Transport has more priority than cas, so it's just a matter of time.

Hi,
How did you manage to change the ground units spawning ? In the AI Spawn module I can only choose between vanilla faction. I'm trying to do one with Unsung myself, first time "modding"

Great work, lots of fun. I actually like the fact that the squads move out to seize the objectives, the war goes on, if you participate or not.

Two things that I think are missing:
- it's too easy, a way to increase the difficulty, for those that want it, would be nice.
- a way for players to gun for other players (in the Gunships or as Door Gunners).

A way to be part of the infantry squads for those that want it (even just as a grunt not a squad leader) might also be interesting.

This is really nice work, I'm really enjoying the mission so far! Would it be possible to add the newly introduced Black Hawk variants from RHS into this one? They've added dynamic loadouts and you can now mount the FFAR pods on the ESSS.

It's the normal "ground support" behaviour concerning sector capturing. And if the units won't capture sectors, it wouldn't be a good Coop or SP experience.

Did you command firing with ctrl+left mouse?
It's the same controls like always. Ctrl+F -> change gunners weapon, Ctrl+left moust -> Order gunner to fire or, if he has the MG as weapon it switches between fire and don't fire.

Awesome mission! Only problem I've found is it seems AI gunner in AH-64 doesn't want to engage enemies on the ground, whether armored or soft targets.

No, I mean "That's the way BI intended the gamemode". Nothing more.
If it would mean that BI wouldn't want that someone does modifications to it, I couldn't have created these missions.
I won't implement a "additional ground forces" possibility in the gamemode, because my focus concerning coding is on Liberation and I created this missions just as "Pilot trainings" with a variation of assets and maps.
But feel free to get the code etc. via GitHub (link in the description) and add everything you want. Everything is free to use, as you can see at the license :).

I think that the game mode is really good because you MUST play as pilot and move quickly your troops in order to win, but why dont give the ability to players to make ground fight at the same time?? That doesn't change the spirit of your mission.

The kind what unit spawn is random. Each minute will a group spawn for each side.
the group can be (one is picked random):
Ghost
Nomad
Hydra
AT Team
AA Team
Motorized AT Team
1 HMG Car
1 GMG Car
1 Wheeled APC with footmobiles
1 Tracked APC with footmobiles
1 MBT

For smaller areas you could use the vanilla BI support missions.

from what i've played there's not much combat that goes on between each side. i've had to do one medevac and one air support, and the rest of the game has mostly been playing leapfrog while the other team takes points our team has abandoned.
would a parameter with less zones to fight over and more nomads & hydras than ghosts make things a bit more confrontational?

The Aircraft is no real necessary asset of this gamemode. I even thought about removing it again.
And you can only leave the helicopter if you land at the resupply points in the base (tied to the gamemode)
And as this gamemode is for the aspect of flying troops and give support via helicopter, you can't use the gunner slot or command any AI. It's the way BI intended the gamemode.

Excellent mission! We cannot desembark once we choose a chopper?? Can you put AI command abilitie for humans players? (in that way the game take more interest when we play alone against 2 or more humans, or we can fight on ground if the chopper is broken and call for air support..)

Malden is the next Map and will be there in one or two days.
Concerning the "only COOP" Mode.... I can't promise anything on this, but I'll have a look for a suitable and lightweight implementation of something like that. But basically the most time concerning coding is spent for Liberation atm.

@Wyqer: Me and my friends really like this gamemode as a fun training for both combat and non-combat transport operations. That said, I wonder if you would consider a dedicated COOP version of this, or perhaps a COOP version parameter (to avoid having to make a blufor/opfor vers). By coop vers i mean that players would be on one side, and the side with no players would get an increase in # units or vehicles or the like, and possibly a scattering of enemy attack chopper spawns, just to increase difficulty. But otherwise there would be no change to how the mission plays out. Anyway, regardless of whether you make one or not, this is a great scenario, and i would love to see an RHS Malden 2035 port of this!

Yeah you should play it as local LAN MP. I'll add the information about it just now to prevent any confusion. So you can play it as SP if you host it as local LAN MP game from your server browser. Sorry for confusion.

I personally thought that this mode is well known like "End Game" or "Zeus", etc.
And the description part in the description of the workshop object is meant as a "what can you expect" and not as a "I personally have done this and this and that" :).
Even if you start the mission it shows on the top the gamemode "Support" (like "Coop", "CTI") etc. And the naming of the mission is choosen that way by the reason that the official missions from BI are also named like "Support Pyrgos", "Support XYZ".
I don't know what I should do more, as I also don't say anything like "I made all what's inside here by myself". I even don't know what's exactly the "problem" is. But I would really like to welcome you on our discord (text chat only) for further talks about your concerns. Maybe we can figure out what you're exactly worried about and how we could prevent that.

@Abburo, I didn't intend for it to be demotivating. I think adding non-vanilla support and extending existing missions/gamemodes is great. It was just how the description was written sounds like it is a new gamemode, to me at least. Seems that way for a others as well, who are interested in the concept/mechanics. I suppose it's just the nature of the ARMA framework, no need to get overly aggressive.

* Added: Script to delete empty choppers which are left on the resupply areas for more than 3 minutes.
* Added: Server log debug output.
* Added: Mapmarker in the bottom left with server fps and ground units count.
* Added: 2 Spectator slots.

KNOWN ISSUE:
When a helicopter gets deleted at a resupply area, a radio message with "helo down" will be send.
But this won't lower your tickets. It's just a kind of misleading information which I can't deactivate for now.

Yeah, I would recommend to play it via LAN MP if you want to play it as "SP" :)

As Vogtivator said, this sounds a lot like the Support series published by BI that's been out since Helicopter DLC. In fact, after playing a quick round it seems identical with the exception of the unit variation. Doesn't seem to be any mention of that in the description...

While playing SP, I landed at base and was unable to exit the helicoper. The one time I crashed, I was also unable to respawn. Do I need to host a LAN server and play SP (no other players joining) for it to work properly?

Like in the description "Gametype: Ground Support" it is build via the ground support game mechanics, yeah. Only in a "larger scale" basically with individual spawn group configs and, of course, besides of the vanilla version for each map a full RHS conversion concerning helicopters and ground units.

The F-18 is the Jets F-18, yes.
But it's only a "not respawning addition" to the gamemode. That's the reason why I didn't added a dependency to the Jets DLC, as that won't be the truth. You don't need the Jets DLC at all to play this mission, as the focus is on the helicopters and the support.

Requires "Jets" DLC to use the F-18. I dont have the DLC and says "premium content, purchase to use".
¿Maybe is the F-18 from the DLC and not the one from RHS?
If its on purpose the F-18 from the DLC, add it to the requeriments.
