@Avilos27

I gotta say, I've never had this issue with this mod and I've been using it for ages. That has gotta be from something else.
Donald Trump 14 Mar, 2024 @ 6:02am
Hello,

Just wanted to say thank you for developing this mod. I know that it isn't updated nor probably working with the current version of the game, but it's an amazing mod nevertheless and just wanted to let you know that. Having a bit of an issue with the continued mod of this with air temperature showing in pipes, and a few other quirks but nevertheless I can deal with them.
Avilos27 3 Aug, 2023 @ 9:44pm
I want to try this but it needs update. Pawns won't clean or tend when I install this mod. I hope all is well.
Teirdalin 3 Dec, 2022 @ 11:52am
The two mods are kinda totally different, but I do use them together as I use dubs hygiene mod as well. His is water heating based while this is air heating/cooling. Fantastic together though.
zallo03 31 Dec, 2021 @ 2:45pm
there is a new mod making the rounds:

Haven't tried it yet but looks to be pretty popular

as someone who works in hvac building automation systems. I can work while not working :] Any link to an updated version?
Adorablorp 1 Sep, 2020 @ 11:38am
You can find it updated right here @Oscar
OscarLey 18 Aug, 2020 @ 11:37am
Any chance to update this to 1.2 :)?

When I build extra fans my thermal efficiency goes down but my flow efficiency stays at 100. What does this mean? Should I just remove the extra intake fans to drive up thermal efficiency?
Squirting Elephant 28 Feb, 2020 @ 8:05am
I think you forgot to add a dependency to HugsLib in About.xml.
xNaquada 25 Feb, 2020 @ 3:40pm
Thank you for taking over this mod @Mlie
Mlie 25 Feb, 2020 @ 10:53am
For those who is looking for a 1.1 version, I took the liberty of updating this and republishing it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2007268173
Hope this helps anyone, and all credit goes to the original authors for this excellent mod!
Kiryuu Sonya 24 Feb, 2020 @ 1:26pm
For those asking for an update, the author is very likely not working on this anymore, so one of you will likely have to take on the task and make an updated version.
BeDominated 24 Feb, 2020 @ 11:57am
Update? :)
Niack 24 Feb, 2020 @ 5:34am
update?:)
The_Pierced_Prince 11 Feb, 2020 @ 12:01am
I managed to modify this to have invisible pipes. It's actually pretty easy. Just have to replace the three images with a blank image. I grabbed one out of an underground conduit mod.
The_Pierced_Prince 8 Feb, 2020 @ 9:43pm
@brickskid did you connect the same color pipe to both intake and climate control and vents? The mod works fine for me, but still wish it had underground pipes, that's the only problem I've ever had with it.
DraconicKobold 8 Feb, 2020 @ 1:39pm
Doesnt work. I putdown 4 large air intakes and 4 large climate controll stations and the pipes dont connect. 4-5 k metal wasted and no last safe file (it took about one and a half hours to get the material there). Thanks.
Fenekku L. Rosamine 7 Feb, 2020 @ 7:38pm
hey elliot... you do know how to read right? he said he's stopped development, i would either do it youself or wait for someone to pickup development.
Bot_Elliot 2 Feb, 2020 @ 9:56am
Could you add a subsurface air pipe? Love this mod and I can't play without.
Kham 27 Jan, 2020 @ 5:57am
@ryeookin hahaha wow, such a simple little thing eh. Glad you got it working man, and you're welcome! :D
ryeookin 26 Jan, 2020 @ 4:24pm
@Kham I finally got around to testing this. I first tried adding a red pipe and wow, that was it! For some reason I had a red pipe already connecting to it I didn't realize. Running red pipes then to the vent and intake, well now it works! Thanks for all your assistance buddy. :D
MrDjosh 25 Jan, 2020 @ 5:27pm
sadly doesnt work with multiplayer i have alot of sync problems if i build either vent

Kham 23 Jan, 2020 @ 4:46am
Out of curiosity, just for the sake of checking, have you tried with any of the other coloured pipes? I don't see why only Cyan would be affected and I did test with Cyan because you used those, but maybe it's still worth checking with red and blue?
Kham 23 Jan, 2020 @ 4:44am
@ryeooking When I did the test locally I actually used the larger intake and the smaller climate control as my memory told me they worked together but I wanted to be sure that was the case to confirm it wasn't the reason you had the problem and as you saw they did work together ok in my screenshot.

Sadly, it is most likely a mod conflict but the only way to be sure is for you to test it without any other mods (other than the required HugsLib of course).

Since you're already using a mod manager you should be able to save your current mod list, disable everything except those, start a new game (just random, doesn't need you to configure it all) go in to dev mode, try placing some down and see if they link ok.

If it works without any other mods, you have a long list of mods you need to work through to try and track down the problem. If it doesn't work without other mods, then I'm starting to run out of ideas haha.
ryeookin 22 Jan, 2020 @ 6:14pm
Thanks, unfortunately it still doesn't want to work for me for some reason.
Hugs is 1st in my list, and I moved this mod near the top too (see pics):
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561197970392291/screenshots/

I tried deconstructing the air climate control and building a new one with the exhaust facing the left. Everything is connected but the blue pipes don't look flush again with the white pipes. The wall mounted vent still says 0 cc/s. Could it be that the large intake fan doesn't work with a normal sized air climate control?

If it won't work maybe its because I have a f* ton of other mods I'm using but thought I'd try posting here. If we can't get it to work I appreciate you trying to help me out. :)
Kham 17 Jan, 2020 @ 10:57am
No worries man, hope you have some luck! :D
ryeookin 17 Jan, 2020 @ 9:08am
@Kham, Thanks for testing this on your end! You gave me some solid suggestions. I'll check them out some time by or before Monday and report back. Thanks again for your assistance. :)
Kham 16 Jan, 2020 @ 5:04pm
I just did a test and for me it doesn't seem to care which side I connect. The white bit is what I was talking about though, the fact it was just there in the middle of the block and not connecting to the pipes means it's not actually connected.

Here's a screenshot of one I just quickly placed in dev mode to test
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1970802782
You can see how the white part on the climate control unit connects to the pipes on all sides. Do you have HugsLib installed and higher in the load order than this mod? Have you tried with just this mod running in a game to see if it's a conflict?
ryeookin 16 Jan, 2020 @ 4:40pm
I did before I made my original post. If you like I'll connect it with pipes all around it but it all seems like its not quite fully connected (that is the white pipe on the climate control unit doesn't look fully flush with the connection like the exhaust unit does). I'm not sure why, or how to fix that. :steamfacepalm:
Kham 15 Jan, 2020 @ 7:01pm
@ryeookin It kind of looks like your climate control unit might not be connected. I've never tried connecting it to the pipes from the front (inside the red exhaust square). Have you tried running the pipes along the wall at the back of it?
ryeookin 15 Jan, 2020 @ 4:27pm
@Kham, okie doke and thanks. I uploaded some screen shots here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561197970392291/screenshots/
Kham 13 Jan, 2020 @ 6:12pm
@ryeookin Could you take some screenshots of your setup or something? Without seeing it no one can really tell you what might be wrong.
ryeookin 13 Jan, 2020 @ 5:18pm
I'm not sure why, but I also am having this same problem "My vents all say they are disconnected but they are all connected to the network.". Note I read the 'how to' diagram and see no flaws with how I'm supposed to set it up vs how I did implimentit.
^5Cirno-09 13 Jan, 2020 @ 1:58am
You can connect all of the different pipes perfectly fine as long as they are all of the same temperature. If you have two air climate controls with different target temperature and connect them to each other the output temperature would be something in between the two.
Px05119 9 Jan, 2020 @ 2:19pm
Just want to drop a quick note to anyone looking at this in 2020: As of Jan 9, the mod is functioning as intended from what I've used. I haven't tried multiple networks with different pipes, but a single network of the Cyan pipes works 100%.
Mr. China 24 Nov, 2019 @ 12:12pm
This mod is currently cooking my colonists at about 1750000 Degree Celcius. How? They are not even under any kind of power...
Tablenack 9 Nov, 2019 @ 5:19am
the red pipe is the only 1 working... no point in building the blu or light blu pipe ... seem like only red matter ..
Reianor 3 Nov, 2019 @ 2:37pm
Flawed concept.
The author made a giant mistake when setting up intake to exhaust ratio.
If it was 1 for 1 this would be a great mod.
As is, it's kinda pointless.

See, there's no oxygen factor in Rimworld, only temperature.
In which case it makes no sense to involve outside air into your “ventilation” system.
Which means you want to make a CLOSED LOOP system, pump back the same exact air you're pumping out.

But your intake is 9 times as strong as your exhaust. So how do you pump that air back efficiently?
Yup you build the same old vanilla “ventilation system” corridor and connect it all to your rooms with vents. Except the reason we installed this mod in the first place is so that we could avoid doing exactly that, no?

TLDR: realistic ventilation makes no sense in Rimworld.
Autismo01 29 Oct, 2019 @ 12:27pm
This mod still works fine thankfully! I just hope future Rimworld updates won't screw something up with this mod's compatibilty.
Flat 19 Oct, 2019 @ 9:41am
My vents all say they are disconnected but they are all connected to the network.
&(*null) 30 Sep, 2019 @ 8:54am
@Devildog, you mean the one about this mod no longer being maintained due to a life change? Who has time to read when steam allows you to install mods without even viewing the page?
Seduogre 23 Sep, 2019 @ 12:51pm
Took me way to long to figure this out;

You can only have one Air Climate Control per circuit, the entire system sets itself to one of them and all vents follow from that. So, every freezer can be connected to a single circuit, but you can't have your 21°C connected to your -10°C freezers as the system will either choose to go with that -10 or 21 or somewhere in between.
Nep 13 Sep, 2019 @ 5:41am
Is it possible for me to make the pipes invisible like in the subsurface conduits mod?
I love the mod but hate exposed pipes, what would I have to modify?
Dark Zeak 25 Aug, 2019 @ 1:55am
Nevermind. It seems he has integrated some form of this mod.
Dark Zeak 25 Aug, 2019 @ 12:06am
So using the mod Frontier Development Shields, it states that this mod is recomended. Since it is no longer being updated does anyone know of a good subsitute, or if someone else has begone working on this?
Pentium4 16 Aug, 2019 @ 8:51am
abandon ship
SerWind 30 Jul, 2019 @ 12:47am
Probably because it's abandoned and not up to date?
Duracell73 22 Jul, 2019 @ 12:56am
anyone know why i cant use just an intake and a vent to cool a 2nd freezer?
Kiryuu Sonya 13 Jul, 2019 @ 3:35am
Will this get an update to work with multiplayer?
