I was sure I was cheating on some parts of this, but after watching the walkthrough everything I did was the official solution. This has my vote for the most challenging in your Hard Chambers collection.

Ok, I have to give up :( Started trying this last night and continuing this morning, but you know the definition of insanity? Well, I'm there. Over and over and all I get is vertical, just like innervator. I've watched the video over and over as well - more insanity there haha.

I've tried the sidestep onto the faithplate. I've tried the slight movement forward as I'm hitting the angled-panel-portal. I've tried placing the portals from various positions... I just can't get that damn fling. You win!

about you update to 1st room: great.
about respawn button: helpfull, but still frustrating.
about unintended solution, grabing cube through laser field: you could add grating.
(when you higher the cieling in the 1st room)
as for crossing to exit area:
with cube on button & panels up, & speed gel on wall & ramp to portable panel.
I put portal in highest portable area that I used to put gel on wall. stood on ramp.
put portal on panel facing ramp & ran through portal, slided accross wall to other side.
to get cube accross: I had bouncy gel on areas below glass in exit area, with cube moving forward off high grating, jumped to area below glass, bounced up onto glass. not using wall at all for this. when 1st attempting to get to the other side, I had previously put blue gel on wall & bounced to far to the right, so had eliminated this as a solution.

@mood3rd : Thanks for feedback ^^ I know about the ceiling problems in first room, and planned to fix that the next time I update the map ;)
About getting stuck because you can't get the cube nay more, did you notice that there is a respawn button for the cube in the first room to fix this issue? ^^
The way you got the cube through lasers is unintended... But I don't think I have enough space to fix it correctly without changing all the shape of this room ^^"
And about the last jump, did you use a similar way as in the solution video or did you place blue gel elsewhere?

I got to exit without cube yesterday.
went back for it, but could not cross without panels on wall,
as I had without the cube. stuck.
their seemes to many things to try here, that seem may be possible.
maybe alter the landscape or minimalize in some other way.
today jumped from upper grating, bouncing off bouncy gell, on other side of speed trench.
to glass, in exit area. not convinced it is correct solution ?
then straight forward, off light bridge, to bouncy gel, to exit.

the rest was good & challenging, with no issues.
thankyou for the trench, needed it a few times.

good / hard map.
suggest putting quicksave advice into description, especialy just before crossing to exit area.
had problem, because of hitting the cieling in 1st part, then crouched & reached the designated faithplate destination, & through portal. reversed this portal, with other portal on ramp, to jump across trench. (you can alter the trajectory of the faithplate to fix, or higher cieling a bit, which would not alter speed into / out of portals.)

in area with laser fields, I moved cube to just behind laser field & grabed through laser field.
being as close as possible, without death. now believe unintended solution.

Ok, i have done all the editing and it is ready to upload. 35gig of video will be compressed into a 1.2gig, 1080p youtube video. Thanks again @toncica, I will put a workshop link in the video descrption so people can check it out.

It will take roughly a day to upload, so i'll do it next week

I finally watched your demo! And all I can say it that it's almost perfect ^^
You only made things hard in the second puzzle ( you could just place your portals on the angled panels and under the gel flow, then go on the button ), and you used another method to reach the cube button of the double gel room, but that's not really important.
So I proposed to Mr. Johno to record it as a video so that I can include it as a walkthrough of this level... If you agree of course ^^

@toncica : Thanks for the demo ^^ Will check that soon to know if you did it the intended way or if some exploits remains... Also I probably missed the fact that you will knock on the ceiling if you go on the faith plate from the wrong place because I only used it from the side or from the front during playtest X) Will try to adjust it better when I will update the map. And about the angled portal fling, I tried to make it easy by adding the light bridge, but it seems that it's still hard and random this way -_- The original idea was just to give a white ceiling to the player so that he can fall on the angled panels from where he wants, but I thought this may be so much hard to adjust correctly...

Reading the comments it seems other players experience problems at the very start. I did too. One problem (Raemari) is losing momentum on the faith plate. That's because you're bumping your head slightly on the ceiling. It's a bit sloppy on the author's part. ;) Until the height has been adjusted the best way is to step on the faith plate from the side.
The other big issue is the fling into the angled portal. It's unnatural, hopefully we will forget about it soon. On this map I could only make it work by streaking the edge of the portal. When falling down after bumping into the light bridge, face the angled portal, press forward, don't fall into the middle of the portal, only by streaking the edge of the portal the fling gets deflected so you can reach the other side of the canyon.

Here is my (exhausted) playthrough. I know you're supposed to get the cube over first for the blue gel but it worked anyway. Not sure if the final jump across the canyon is close to intended, there are probably multiple ways.

Wow, that was some piece of work. To make it through you mustn't allow the map to intimidate you from the start. After the second part I was pretty sure I would complete it, no matter what's ahead. Took some sweet time though, and moments of contemplating. I'll be honest, the first time I hated the map and quit after 5 minutes. I'm glad I came back in a better mood to enjoy some challenge. Thumbs up!

@boisdegilbert : As this is a fling level, this is normal you can't reach the other side of the canyon until you get the correct idea ^^ And the challenge here is to think about how you can use portals, angles, and speed for that... Sorry if you got bored before the solution came to you ^^"

It wasn't necessary to change the title or improve the description. I thought the goal was pretty obvious. It was the solution that I couldn't identify :) But hopefully the improvement will help others who were confused. I'd also like to see a demo because I've tried a dozen times and I always pop up vertically.

I would love to see the demo! The map is so big, and seems to have so much to do, but I feel rather stuck :( I considered just noclipping past the issue, but I'd rather solve it as intended.

Second problem, I am in the same boat as previous commenters... I can get to the slippery ledge to left, facing the same way as the entry, with a fling. The only way I can pull off that angle, however, is to use noclip to place the ceiling portal. It has to be straight up and down to fling you properly, but it always sets at an angle when placing it while standing on the ledge.

Try try again, I finally figured out that I can only hit the target if I come at the faithplate from the side, so I launch from the middle, rather than the back end. I have no idea why, but it took me many different tries and angles to not either hit the edge of the cube button and drip into my portal, or just land in the button entirely. Other than moving them closer together, I have no idea what would change that though. The point is, I CAN get to the cube with some attention to exactly where I hit the faithplate. Hopefully if someone else has the same problem, they will see the solution here :)

@boisdegilbert : Well, I'm not sure how to make it more evident, but the basic aim of this map is : reach the other side of the pit X) And once you are there you should have very limited places where you can go so you have to think only with with the "rooms" you have access to... The central way is mainly a backup mechanism I used to avoid killing the player if he fall into the canyon, it' only here to allow you to come back in a safe and already visited place ^^

Anyway about the first puzzle, I really appologize about that but the the method Innervator described first is the correct one -_- Sadly the fling correction to enter portals works bad when you enter a portal on an angled pannel and I can't really do anything to make that part better sorry... So you got the idea, it may work if you are able to place your portal on the angled pannel so that you will not hit a corner of the portal and do a correct fling (not vertical) when you exit the other portal ^^

the trench flings into a small room at one end and above the trench, but there is noway to shoot a portal to anywhere but the start and the panel in the center above the trench which just drops you back into the trench.
You cannot get to another platform period.

This map is without any discernable logic, pattern or method. Having gone to no clip and looked at the entire puzzle, I still cannot construct any meaningful narrative to the whole thing.
I do not believe it can be successfully played.
You quickly become trapped between the starting position, the trench and the room you are flung into, then can go nowhere but back to start.It quickly becomes tedious and frustrating.

I just tried flinging from the ceiling panel onto the adjacent platfrm, with the orange paint, but it's not even close. I can't get the correct angle from the first platform. I'll think about it some more...

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I first thought I was supposed to paint that area orange, but I don't see any portalable surfaces below the orange paint. It also seems like the runway is too short though, so I quickly forgot about that idea :) .

I hate to admit it, but I'm stuck on the first platform :P How do I proceed? I've got the cube on the button and the angled panels are now raised. The faithplate shoots me into the light bridge, and I fall straight down into the angled panels. I've tried portaling everywhere I could see, even on that center panel on the cavern ceiling, but nothing works. The center panel always shoots me back toward the first platform, regardless of which direction I place the portal on the angled panels (upside down or right-side up). Also, I assumed at first that it was as simple as placing a portal on the angled panel and the other on the old target, but I just pop up vertically every time (with very little height I might add). I must be missing something...

Hem lag? Don't think it may have any effect... It could in theory, but I was never slow down because of lag, even in multiplayer... But, what are you trying to use the momentum for? You are just supposed to get the cube to get started...

Oh, ya know, I didn't think of that. I did have better luck the times it was preplaced, but nowhere near enough to keep my momentum...kind of a plop-slide-drop. Do you think lag could eat some momentum? Not sure if it's possible, I'm not familiar with HOW physics work in video games.

Yes, that's my point, when I use the faithplate, it drops me short of the target, just on the edge of the cube button.
