Really sorry about the hardness of this fling, if I have enough motivation, I will think about an easier way to make it work correctly every time if I can find one X)
I've tried the sidestep onto the faithplate. I've tried the slight movement forward as I'm hitting the angled-panel-portal. I've tried placing the portals from various positions... I just can't get that damn fling. You win!
about you update to 1st room: great.
about respawn button: helpfull, but still frustrating.
about unintended solution, grabing cube through laser field: you could add grating.
(when you higher the cieling in the 1st room)
as for crossing to exit area:
with cube on button & panels up, & speed gel on wall & ramp to portable panel.
I put portal in highest portable area that I used to put gel on wall. stood on ramp.
put portal on panel facing ramp & ran through portal, slided accross wall to other side.
to get cube accross: I had bouncy gel on areas below glass in exit area, with cube moving forward off high grating, jumped to area below glass, bounced up onto glass. not using wall at all for this. when 1st attempting to get to the other side, I had previously put blue gel on wall & bounced to far to the right, so had eliminated this as a solution.
About getting stuck because you can't get the cube nay more, did you notice that there is a respawn button for the cube in the first room to fix this issue? ^^
The way you got the cube through lasers is unintended... But I don't think I have enough space to fix it correctly without changing all the shape of this room ^^"
And about the last jump, did you use a similar way as in the solution video or did you place blue gel elsewhere?
went back for it, but could not cross without panels on wall,
as I had without the cube. stuck.
their seemes to many things to try here, that seem may be possible.
maybe alter the landscape or minimalize in some other way.
today jumped from upper grating, bouncing off bouncy gell, on other side of speed trench.
to glass, in exit area. not convinced it is correct solution ?
then straight forward, off light bridge, to bouncy gel, to exit.
the rest was good & challenging, with no issues.
thankyou for the trench, needed it a few times.

suggest putting quicksave advice into description, especialy just before crossing to exit area.
had problem, because of hitting the cieling in 1st part, then crouched & reached the designated faithplate destination, & through portal. reversed this portal, with other portal on ramp, to jump across trench. (you can alter the trajectory of the faithplate to fix, or higher cieling a bit, which would not alter speed into / out of portals.)
in area with laser fields, I moved cube to just behind laser field & grabed through laser field.
being as close as possible, without death. now believe unintended solution.
So to all the people that were stuck at some point of the level, there is now a walkthrough video recorded and commented by toncica!

You only made things hard in the second puzzle ( you could just place your portals on the angled panels and under the gel flow, then go on the button ), and you used another method to reach the cube button of the double gel room, but that's not really important.
So I proposed to Mr. Johno to record it as a video so that I can include it as a walkthrough of this level... If you agree of course ^^
The other big issue is the fling into the angled portal. It's unnatural, hopefully we will forget about it soon. On this map I could only make it work by streaking the edge of the portal. When falling down after bumping into the light bridge, face the angled portal, press forward, don't fall into the middle of the portal, only by streaking the edge of the portal the fling gets deflected so you can reach the other side of the canyon.

This is a lot of complexity in a small area and I think you are right up against the design limits here.

That's really really strange, because it worked almost the first or second time for me when I playtested...
Anyway about the first puzzle, I really appologize about that but the the method Innervator described first is the correct one -_- Sadly the fling correction to enter portals works bad when you enter a portal on an angled pannel and I can't really do anything to make that part better sorry... So you got the idea, it may work if you are able to place your portal on the angled pannel so that you will not hit a corner of the portal and do a correct fling (not vertical) when you exit the other portal ^^
You cannot get to another platform period.
I do not believe it can be successfully played.
You quickly become trapped between the starting position, the trench and the room you are flung into, then can go nowhere but back to start.It quickly becomes tedious and frustrating.
