I have a feeling this model is using the reload animation of the Comabat Shotgun....or better known as the "Benelli M4 Super 90" as that's its real name....not sure what the real name of the Moss 12 is.....

But yeah, as with the combat, the sixth shell also gets injected magically out of nowhere when you pull that thingy bob(I'm not a gun nut so I don't what the parts of various guns are called). With this, all you did was just cut that animation out and timed the reload speed count so that on the 5th shell reloaded, the 6th shell comes in and your Moss 12 is magically full reloaded with all 6 shells even though you only visually loaded 5!

I suppose it's only a minor issue, not game breaking....

Oooh, I just noticed the reload thing too .....the 6th shell jsut magially appears out of nowhere when you've only loaded in five.....

Is there anywhere to get these files for manual install? My Workshop items stopped working for this game after I moved steam to a new drive. Tried a bunch of stuff to fix it with no luck. I like this mod!

@Judson the Mossberg 12-gauge is a pump-action shotgun. This is one of a few pump-actions that have a charging handle yet are incapable of going semi-automatic. The charging handle is there to help clear jams and be useful if the pump somehow fails. It's a really stupid design tbh, but the mod adds to the realism by keeping it on there. It looks kinda cool too, just because it seems like something that KF would do.

Nice little shotgun, punchy, close range, and only one issue I ran into.
There seems to be a bug in the reload animation. Is it using a custom / tweaked animation? Or is it using the Combat Shotgun reload?
When I go to reload the Moss 12: My character will load five shells, the animation stutters a bit, magically a sixth shell is in, and the shotgun is live again.
My Combat Shotgun loads all six without issue... Not sure what more to say.

I used this once on West London as a Zerk backup weapon and it rocked! A compact shotgun that weighs only 5 blocks is an ideal specimen-slaying tool regardless of a player's perk. I don't understand the charging handle, though. That would indicate that it's select-fire w/semi-auto capability which makes me wonder why it's set on pump since it's obviously being used w/heavy loads which should cycle the action just fine. Same for the Benelli M3 Super 90 (in both Killing Floor and BrainBread). And the Franchi SPAS-12 for that matter. Most games that have a SPAS-12 have it set permanently on pump.

I added this Mutator to my server, but not only is it no in the trader shop (as expected), but I also don't even spawn with it. Is there something I have to change in the .ini file? Or do I need a serperate Mutator to make it so that the Trader sells additional weapons?

While Support Specialist perk does not seem to affect most aspects of this gun, damage done with the Moss12 WILL count towards perk progression (shotgun damage).

love it, but fyi mabie calling it a Mossberg is wrong? it reaks of 870 remington, the 12bore we had allready. just things like the saftey position, the loading gate and bolt (why the cocking handle on a pump?). just saying, love it anyways

tested the Moss 12 had a few things to mention:
- its clipsize is 6 (this is normal)
- its damage is lower than any other shotgun (incl. aa12)
- its penetration is lower as well
- it cannot be bought (even when sold)
- every class spawns with it (balance problem)
- its ammo count is 48, not 62 (even with support lev. 6)
- its selling price is 450 (regardless of selected perk; should drop with leveled support instead)
- the reload timing is somewhat off (reloads faster than the animation suggests)

tested on update 1047 (14 May 1013 version) both on hard and beginner, both on singleplayer and while hosting a server, both with supporter level 6 and sharpshooter level 6 perks

conclusions:
- i presume the supporter perk does NOT apply to this weapon (currently) (this explains damage, ammo, penetration and price issues)
- the mutator IS whitelisted (perks level normally while using it)
- the shotgun SHOULD be made available to the trader instead of being a spawn reward

First off, I wanna say that I LOVE this mod, KF needz more shotgunz!
Second, I noticed the same thing Slynamics did, about the gun only loading 5 of 6 shots in the animation, which as far as I'm concerned isnt a big deal, extra shot in less reload time >:3
Finally, you say it's whitelisted, but I've tried it in Single Player a few timez, made sure it was the ONLY mutator on, finished the match and everything, but it never saves my progress, it just resets after each match. I love this gun and I use it a lot, and I want it to keep progress, but idk maybe it's just me. Either way, this is a really good gun!

Leon stop talking out your ass. I whitelisted this a 6 months ago. If its not whitelisted anymore then TWI screwed up, but as far as I looked/tested it works fine whitelisted.

Actually this is not whitelisted, it's greylisted. What greylisted means is that you can still use your perks but you can't level up. For example: let's say you're a level 4 sharpshooter, you have 5316 headshots, you get one headshot with the pistol, your perk then says you have 5317 headshots and then you go shotgun happy with the moss12. Then when the match is over and either a map rotation happens or you quit, your headshots get set back to what they were before, which was 5316.

The loading animation is off from when the gun is given a new shell. Fire one round, and the gun ends the reload animation without fulliy putting the shell in. It isn't too drastic so I'm not throwing a huge fit. The code only needs to put in a few more split seconds for the animations and adding ammo to be synced. The sights are a little dicey, but aren't something to complain about. I kinda like the sawed off pump action little monster.

It is whitelisted when platying Solo. It just doesnt show in the shop. You spawn with it, thats it.

ok, so when you use the mut, you spawn with the gun in solo, so that's not whitelisted, but when you use the mut in listened servers than you don't spawn with it and it is whitelisted? Because I tried taking the mut off the current mut list for the game, but i didnt see it in shop. haven't tested in listen.

Would love if it was actually like a Moss .......i own one. It does not have that funky knob sticking out from action. That is only on some auto's not pumps. Needs to be realistic.
